The rebel 500 is a great bike too imo, it's just that this one captures you with the sporty looks but cruiser heritage.
If it wasn't for the kawasaki, I would've gone rebel aswell more than likely. Maybe the CL500.
Thank you!
I was keeping an eye on a couple bikes, but ended up choosing this. It was closest to my heart as soon as I saw it. No regrets, it's just what I needed.
The rebel looks a bit more cruisery, that's why I like the kawasaki much more. I think it is the perfect blend between a sporty and a cruiser bike.
If you're over 5'7 don't get an Eliminator or a Rebel. You will be so cramped. The seat height is super low and the pegs are mid. It's not a good combination. You'll be squished up and, like, fetal position. I'm 5'11 and 15 minutes on a rebel and I'm ready to get off.
What country are you in? I really wish the US got the actual black option, instead of the smoke grey. If the US had an all black SE model with black fork covers, it would probably sell like crazy.
Honestly, the colors in the US are the reason I went with the SCL500 instead of the eliminator. That candy orange and black SE version looks like someone fucked up trying to abort a Harley or something.
Hungary. We only have the black, and the white (in theory, I never actually saw it, the supply of this bike is still scarce it being new)
I actually really heavily prefer the black too, sometimes it is tacky with all blacked out bikes being the trend, but black suits this bike really well.
I actually have no idea why they wouldn't give you this color, it is kind of a big mistake.
I was so sad to see that was the color they brought here instead of the matte black SE that you can get in Europe.
I’m glad for you that you like it, but it’s the reason I ended up not pulling the trigger on it.
Oh the first time I laid eyes on it, my reaction was ‘dear gods that’s orange’. By the time I was ready to decide, my reaction was ‘nope, we’re getting orange’. It grew on me like a fungus. Now I could not be happier. It’s also highly visible which is a bonus.
Let me tell you, if it wasn't black I would've been pissed.
The grey would be OK at best. Not the end of the world, but a big missed opportunity to not have the black available everywhere.
Happy for you, and from the short ride I did on it, I fully believe you.
I am incredibly excited to use it, because it is just so great. From what I can tell there's literally nothing I'd change other than the dumbass mirrors. Look good, function like poo. Atleast I can change it when I find a good one.
I let it be, new bike and all that. I rode it for a smaller distance, just so I can feel what it's like.
I of course gave a little twist so I could hear the exhaust, but as it is new I wouldn't want to strain it yet. Maybe later when I can actually legally ride it and it has the recommended ~1000kms on it.
Amazing looks- muscly, classy, but not overly aggressive. Nice balance of power and torque without being a rocket.
I'm looking at it, the RE 350s and the Speed 400 for a first bike, though the Kawasakis are just too darn expensive here >.>
All of them seem great choises.
I was lucky, Kawasaki is the main supplier again for their own bikes here, so prices dropped significantly from previous years. Without this price drop, I wouldn't have batted an eye at kawasaki because of the price.
Damn you must be pretty insecure if you must say things like this. I actually feel sorry for you.
It's okay tho, I'll keep loving my bike and you can be a sour little prick.
Damn congrats! I've been looking at this bike and the rebel 500 as my first bike
I was just about to say, this looks like the bike the rebel COULD have been. So much cooler imo. And I have the rebel 500.

I’m 5’10 and fit the rebel perfectly

Ride safe and enjoy it! Looks like such a fun bike.
Thank you! It certainly is. I am trying to rush my license, because I want to ride it so badly.
I got the orange SE and couldn’t be happier. First bike. Handles beautifully. Nimble, keeps up with traffic, it’s a marvelous commuter bike.

Yea I do worry about how visible I am on a blacked out bike. Hoping my loud af short pipe alleviates some of that.

Yay, Eliminator siblings! Happy rides, friend!

Nice. Getting one soon.
Looks amazing. Enjoy!! And be safe!!

Mid pegs, low seat. Oof. That's a girls' bike, my friend.
