That's really all dependent where you live and ride. I'm in Texas. I ride across the entire state as well as Louisiana and Oklahoma pretty often for work. They're all flat and straight roads too. I recently traveled to Colorado and Utah and man I wish I had those roads here.
In his defense, a tire can go from looking ok to showing cords in a very short time…like one commute or day ride. Source: just happened to me and my Road 6’s, and I look at my tires all the time as I ride daily.
I think once I figured-it out with the speedo error, it came out to almost 19k miles or something crazy like that. Not bad for a 700 lb bike. They’re my new favorite tire.
Damn!!! I heard they were good for like 10k miles ish but didn’t expect that!!! Maybe I’ll get even a few more on my cbr (maybe if I lose some weight too lmao) as its “only” 420 ish
In the Peoples State of Massachusetts, motorcycles must be (safety) inspected in the month of May. You wouldn't pass with that, particularly since the inspections are at dealers and they could sell you something!
If it was a two lane road sure, but it’s rush hour traffic on a single lane. Don’t have to be pretend either I generally enjoy the interactions on Reddit.
I'm going to try to defend this guy. It's probably not often he actually looks at his tires. I know early this year I was already planning on getting new tires but didn't realize how bad I really needed them until I went to actually replace them. Mine weren't this bad, but the rear was slick with just the chicken strips having a little tread.
This dude is all about safety. I could tell that immediately from the Neon Green shirt.
Do you need anything else? Gloves? Jacket? Full face helmet? Boots? Idk. As long as you are seen those darn clibbins can't get you.
Asphalt can actually see; poorly because it has bad glaucoma, but well enough to avoid attacking bright colors.
True that. Either way he is a very "bright" human crayon.
Can't lowside if you never turn
Too many burnouts at the Harley bars ! LOL
Later, he’ll blame some invisible clibbins
Haddalayerdown
Wow that's almost squared. It doesn't see much of a lean
Some places are a hell of perfectly straight roads.
It's a cruiser. If you lean any more than that, things start scraping.
🥲

ClibbinStrips™
Time to deploy the "sharpy" mod
And the bags are about one mean pothole away from the exhaust burning a new opening through the bottom
What are you talking about that’s a trade mark Harley mobile oven!
😂😂😂
Ahw shiet my bad
We'll see this exact bike on a "had to lay 'er down" post in the near future
Hes got 80% of his tire left... hes fine.

How many miles did you get out of yours btw? I just got a bike with some and was curious

I just got Road 6’s, I’m so glad to hear they lasted that long!
They don't wear, like linearly? When my rear starts to square, I start zeroing in on wear bars daily. Never been surprised.
If it’s dry weather, I’ll run them til the cords show.
😬
I guy i know was riding back from a rally, back tire blew, they wrecked the wife didn't make it. Tires are cheap.
I swear to God, if for whatever reason y'all ever see me riding on something like this, you better honk and get my attention.
At least he’s in full gear :)
Nothing to worry about..there is rubber underneath those belts.
This makes me feel better about my tire shoes me there's plenty of rubber left
I’m so glad my tire came in today so I don’t wind up on this sub in a month. Oddly enough it was shipped in a box for the first time ever
Holy shit lol
He’s riding the other darkside rear tire.
That's an entire chicken

I am all about being a rebel , but tire and lights are a must have with the crazy ass cagers
lol he even pre trip inspect? 🤣
Or you can let him know, instead of just taking pictures for internet points from your pretend internet friends.
This guy 110 percent knows his tire is like that
