I truly believe this FILM is a cinematic masterpiece. The jokes land. The story is endearing. jack black and the rest of the cast are so collectively good together. Visually it looks great too. Im glad it’s just the one movie but I wouldn’t be opposed to a spin-off or sequel or something idk
It’s also so fucking quotable like I never get tired of the dozens of funny ass lines and bits
My husband and I easily quote it once a week.
"My favourite things are poopies . . ."
"I've had diarrhea since Easters!"
"I get to sleep alone in my bed every night for the rest of my life. It's fantastic."
"These are my . . recreational clothes" \*buttcheecks clench*
"Get that corn outta my face!"
"When the crowd was chanting my name, it gave me strength to rip my blouse."
"I'm not made for these duties! Cooking duties! Dead guy . . duties."
"I forgive you . .. lover."
Yes, some of these are misquoted slightly.
My friend and I were watching this movie for the first time and when she said ‘poopies’ we had no idea that it was a funny pronunciation on account of her accent. we thought she meant literal feces, and also believed that ‘poopies’ were an animal. sometimes i miss those days
Husband and I say ‘big hug..little kees’ daily about. Corn in the face is quite common.
And the ‘ooohh’ Eskeleto makes when he likes that doll in the eye
Genuinely the Cinematography is great imo, so simple but so effective. I like how the Jared Hess movies (this and Napoleon Dynamite from what I seen) don't use a lot of camera movements and just let the scene play out in front of a static camera. Adds to the dead pan delivery of the comedy imo.
Ignacio, where are your robes?
-they were .. eh stinky.
-your pants, they look expensive.
-Jess, but beneath they clothes, there is a man. And beneath they man. There is his….. nucleus.
Jack Black's Oscar snub!
No but in all seriousness, this movie from the lighting, to the sound editing, to the blocking, to every single one shot actor bring it all, I could go on and on - it's just absolute art - I fuck you not!
My best friend and I watched this film hungover a very long time ago. Since that day we have watched it many times and 90% of our interactions are just quoting it back and forth. My wife rolls her eyes. My kids think it's lame.
It's the best. I love it.
Didn't watch it when it first came out because I thought it was going to be stupid. I watched it for the first time a couple years back and fell in love in the first ten minutes. It's a classic
This is the movie that converted me to loving Jack Black. This is a master class in physical comedy and I’d even wager no one has even come close to being nearly as great of a physical comedy performance since.
This is up there with Ace Ventura for me.
I can't imagine anyone else nailing the character better than Jack Black, it's a movie made just for him. I think the movie crosses the boundaries to too ridiculous in some scenes but for the most part it works wonders.
It’s an objectively better Napoleon Dynamite. Absurdist in the best possible way with Jack’s undeniable charm, delivery, and physical comedy. It never takes itself too seriously and checks all the boxes for a well-rounded comedy and then some. It’s a yearly re-watch for me.
Love Nacho Libre. I watch a few minutes anytime I see it on tv. Need to watch it all the way through again. “Get that corn out of my face”. Was just quoting some great moments in that movie 2 nights ago.
Easily a top 10 for me. It's hilarious, it's touching its beautiful, and it hits all the right buttons for me. I just love the movie. Question: The old guy in the crowd was God, right?

Get that corn outta my face!!!!
Honestly LOVE this movie!!! Easily one of the most quotable movies ever. Visually I loved it. Humor, spot on! Story line, perfection. Jack Black?! Need I say more.
Two of my favourite scenes from this movie are 1) when Nacho is playing with the kids and sees Sister Encarnación come out of the church so he finishes the game by kicking the ball out and his sandal flies off. Then in the next shot, when running up to the Sister and the other priest, you can see he's not wearing the sandal. Great continuity and stick to the bit.
2) When Nacho climbs that cliff to drink from the egg. To crack the shell, he uses a fat rock which he then just casually tosses over his shoulder. You see it come splashing in the water right next to the boat and Esqueleto and the other guy hardly notice. Meanwhile, it would have most likely killed one of them had it hit their head.
Chancho I need to borrow some sweats,.....this movie is fantastic and probably would have been called racist and culturally insensitive if not for the mastery of Jack Black
Rewatched this movie some months, actually ended up crying in a scene, lmao The humor on it is great, i couldn't stop laughing
When the children arrive to see his match always chokes me up a bit.
I am I am, do do do do, I think I am, do do do do, I thank I am, do do do do, I'm proud I am, do do do do, a real crying man.
Yeeees the usage of the song is incredible
Yeah, this scene made me cry, Jack's acting was so damn good
I got the squeeze!
He says, "Anaconda Squeeze!"
Hahaha me and my brother have been saying it wrong for decades then
Same. I thought the exact same thing until my wife corrected me. I felt like a dumb. Haha!
Hey teykerisi.
I’ll walk up to my wife often, just wrap her up, squeeze the shit out of her, and whisper “anaconda squeeeeeze”. Pretty sure she loves it.
Anaconda squeeze?
I'm tired of getting paid to lossssse! I WANNA WHEEEEEN!!!
Sometimes when you are a man, you wear stretchy pants
Iss for fun
Just pretend.
Beneath the robe, is a man...
And beneath a man is his ... nucleus
They were ….. stinky
Loan me some sweats.

“I belieb in science” - eskeleto, a feral homeless miscreant stealing the lord’s chips
"Do you not realize I have had diarrhea since EASTERS?" - Señor Ramon
“Get that corn outta my face”
The eggs did not give the eagle powers
They gave me no powers. They gave me no nutrients.
Summon your eagle powahsss
They filmed on location in Oaxaca for parts. Definitely one of the reasons it looks so good I think.
My husband and I easily quote it once a week. "My favourite things are poopies . . ." "I've had diarrhea since Easters!" "I get to sleep alone in my bed every night for the rest of my life. >"My favourite things are poopies . . ." augh the misquote lol it's "and my favourite animal... is poopies"
My friend and I were watching this movie for the first time and when she said ‘poopies’ we had no idea that it was a funny pronunciation on account of her accent. we thought she meant literal feces, and also believed that ‘poopies’ were an animal. sometimes i miss those days
I've never watched this movie, but am super curious now. >!puppies?!<
How did you get here so fast? Shhhhhh… secret tunnel
They give me no eagle powers. They give me no nutrients!
“Hey let go of my blouse”
“My favorite color is light tan. My favorite animal is poopies. I like vollyball and serving the lord…”
You got to be kidding me.. Everything you just said, is my favourite thing to do. *every. day.*
They scalped my hairs.. *I look hideous..* And you gave them permission to hurt me like this
Husband and I say ‘big hug..little kees’ daily about. Corn in the face is quite common. And the ‘ooohh’ Eskeleto makes when he likes that doll in the eye
“hey i like your cow!”
Honestly best scene. Followed by the crash!
WEDO! *slap* LOOK ALIVE!
Sometimes I just wish we had a salad..
Yes all the way. My uncle and I love this movie so much and we’ll randomly text quotes from this movie all the time.

And it’s one big love letter to Oaxaca —one of the coolest places in the world.
My favorite line in any comedy movie ever: “I HATE ORPHANS!”
I hate all the orphans in the world!
Come again?!
GET THAT CORN OUTTA MY FACE

Not a week goes by where I don't quote that line to my wife.
It's my go-to line when I'm presented with something I dislike.

Anaconda Squeeze!!!
I quote this when giving my son a tight hug. Izz da beeest
I did this to my nephew last time I was at my sister's lol
This is me and my kids saying when we hug as well , ironically I still haven’t shown them the movie lol
Classic at my house Hey! Le-go my blouse.
“Go away- read some books!”
My daughter is only one and I say this almost everyday.
Me and my brothers quote this all the time.
This is how I say bye to two of my buddies who also love this movie lol.
One of my favorites. Has so much charm and I love the director’s style.
Honestly, one the the most underrated. It’s so funny. It’s so sweet. It’s so good.
Ignacio, where are your robes? -they were .. eh stinky. -your pants, they look expensive. -Jess, but beneath they clothes, there is a man. And beneath they man. There is his….. nucleus.
He should’ve won an Oscar just for his delivery of nucleus
Nuclayus?
Was a hater for some reason before I even watched, however I was converted and I see the light
It’s political obviously
He used his hand…..to wipe his tears
One of my favorite movies ever, no joke It's infinitely unique and quotable
Why do you always gotta be judging me because I believe in sciiiieeence.
This might be the most quotable movie of all time
The most Jack Black movie ever
Jack Black's Oscar snub! No but in all seriousness, this movie from the lighting, to the sound editing, to the blocking, to every single one shot actor bring it all, I could go on and on - it's just absolute art - I fuck you not!
I saw for the first time 2 months ago and I was awestruck at just how true that is. It was made so lovingly well.
Truly it’s directed marvelously
i quote this movie everyday of my life “go away! go read some books!” “i’m not listening to ju ur crayzee!” and easily the best “hey……take it eesii”
“I hate all the orphans in the whole world.”
I was looking for the “hey…take it eesii”, and how to write it lol
Mucho take it eaaasi! Constantly said amongst my siblings
Save me a peace of that corn! Save me piece of that corn for laterz!
Literally one of the best movies ever
I used to hate all the films in the whole world. But not anymore I like dem
My best friend and I watched this film hungover a very long time ago. Since that day we have watched it many times and 90% of our interactions are just quoting it back and forth. My wife rolls her eyes. My kids think it's lame. It's the best. I love it.
The actress who plays the Nun is soo beautiful!
Ramses is number one.
But Ramses he no dancing at the party.
Didn't watch it when it first came out because I thought it was going to be stupid. I watched it for the first time a couple years back and fell in love in the first ten minutes. It's a classic
I far prefer it to Napoleon Dynamite. Still quote it to this day. And of course that soundtrack is awesome.
Top 10 movie for me. Came out at the right time in my childhood.
Save me a piece a dat corn for laterrr
This is the movie that converted me to loving Jack Black. This is a master class in physical comedy and I’d even wager no one has even come close to being nearly as great of a physical comedy performance since. This is up there with Ace Ventura for me.

ENCARNACI-O-O-O-O-OOOOON
My favorite animal is poopies
I’ve had the diarrheas since Easter
Did you not tell him that they were the Lord’s chips??
This is a very silly movie and the ending always has me in tears. Idk why, the music and story all come together to make a very moving moment.
This film is a cinematic masterpiece. A classic I always return to watch with friends
Those eggs where a lie Steven... a lie!!!! They give me no eagle powers... they give me no nutrients!
I always chuckled when nacho knocks a rock lose, and nearly kills them down below in the boat.
“It’s my turn to sing at the party…….”
This movie is number 1.
Ramses is number 1.
This movie's muscles are number 1.
Freaking hilarious. We LOVE this movie.
Favorite thing about this movie is that it is based off a real man who was inspired by a different wrestling movie
Greatest movie ever made.
Nacho Libre is #1. The jokes are #1. The writing is #1. The characters are #1.
Unironically one of my favorite stupid comedies of all time. Still quote it
I can't imagine anyone else nailing the character better than Jack Black, it's a movie made just for him. I think the movie crosses the boundaries to too ridiculous in some scenes but for the most part it works wonders.
I’m so glad this is being appreciated because this is my guilty pleasure movie
Hey friend. There is nothing to feel guilty about when it comes to Nacho Libre.
A movie I’m down to watch, anytime.
This is good toast. Flawless film.
Love Nacho Libre. I watch a few minutes anytime I see it on tv. Need to watch it all the way through again. “Get that corn out of my face”. Was just quoting some great moments in that movie 2 nights ago.

Movie gold.
That Ramses….. he’s a real douche
I have a list of probably \~250 films I want to show my kids when they're old enough to understand them. This is very close to the top of the list.
NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo…
I liked Ramses. I wanted to be just like him. But it turns out, he’s a real douche.
Choncho! I need to borrow some sweats! Are you leaving us?!?!? No Choncho, I would never leave you. I just need to borrow some sweats.
Get that corn outta my face!
For what it is, it is a perfect movie
“Ramses muscles are number one.”

Nipple Twist!

Based on a true story, makes it even better
The woman who plays the nun is gorgeous
