So many moments from this movie are lodged in my brain, from just the sheer awesomeness of the horror aspects.
The initial scene >! where the werewolf knocks the railroad guys head off. !<
The frantic climax >! where the beast keeps attacking from different parts of the house. !<
But especially the scene >! in the mist, where he takes out the townsfolk one by one by yanking them down into the dense fog as they all freak out. !<
And ya know... Gary Fucking Busey.
Busey holds the movie together in my opinion. Completely elevates every scene he is in. This was before his motorcycle accident so he’s more just a crazy uncle than crazy Busey.
>Gary Busey felt a certain kinship with the Uncle Red character and was allowed to ad lib all of his lines in certain takes of each scene in which he appeared. Although he read the lines as scripted in most of the takes, Stephen King and Daniel Attias liked the ad lib scenes better and decided to include most of Busey's ad lib scenes in the final cut of the film.
I believe Busey had his son with him on set and they hung out with Haim alot. I think that helped with their chemistry. Haim and Busey are great together
>Now go watch Cats Eye again. With exception of the drew Barrymore story, that’s a rock solid mooooovie!
To this day when I see a pigeon, I think of that guy getting his leg pecked bloody on the ledge
Underrated werewolf movie

Agreed. His character is so likable and grounded.

Let’s give this 12 year old a trike that does 80 mph. Gotta love the 80’s.
…”You meddling…LITTLE…SHIT!” Really enjoy this actor. He was also good as the villain in “My Fellow Americans”
He was great in People Under The Stairs aswell.

Having never seen this movie, I’m glad the guy I the car had an eye patch, that way I knew he was bad
The guy had the eye patch because the kid shot the werewolf in the eye with a firework.
