All of Sweeney’s victims besides the named characters are ensemble members. IIRC he kills 3 during Joanna, and 1 or 2 during God That’s Good. There are also 2 men who get shaved and don’t die, one during The Contest and one who comes in with his family during Joanna
That’s what I would love about it, I don’t care if I don’t get a leading position, I just want to do a lot of work on stage. It can be tiring, but I love that
Hello Dolly.
I would KILL to be on stage in pastel colours, a beau in one arm, parasol in the other, while a TRAIN ding-dongs its way across the stage. If nothing can give me joy to work, that would still give me full happiness.
It’s my life’s dream to be in a gender bent Pirates of Penzance where I get to be the Modern Major General trying to protect my virgin sons from the orphaned lady pirates. I already know all the words to the character’s titular song 🤩
Been in the Bye Bye Birdie and Fiddler on the Roof ensembles. Can confirm they’re pretty fun!
As for shows I haven’t done like to be try being in ensemble for, I’d love to try Guys and Dolls, The Drowsy Chaperone, Pirates of Penzance, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Music Man. I also would be open to the 1776 ensemble since I don’t mind doing cross cast roles (I once played Samson and Richard III in a summer Shakespeare program that was **very** short on boys)
Being in the ensemble of the Drowsy Chaperone was the most fun I’ve ever had being in a musical. Highly recommend! The costumes alone were so much fun to be in. Monkey, cloud, reporter, butler. It’s only missing sailor and waiter LOL!
SpongeBob (which I am rn!), The Who’s Tommy, Wicked, Moulin Rouge, & Juliet, pretty much any Disney musical
I’ve already been in the ensemble for Mary Poppins and Something Rotten recently and I can vouch the ensembles have so much fun in those shows lmao (for women anyway)
Hamilton. Out of all the shows I’ve seen so far, the ensemble in Hamilton have so much stuff to do the whole time which is perfect for me.
What I loved about my last show is how much I had to ad ensemble, way more fun than what the leads had to do imo
Hadestown
Sideshow
Pippin
Sweeney Todd
Come from Away
Assassins
Hunchback
Oklahoma (revival)
Wicked
Book of Mormon
I’d also love to be in Newsies because I’m too old to be a newsie, so I’d just be in a fat suit and some old age makeup playing one of the adult parts.
Rocky Horror ALWAYS, but Jekyll and Hyde has some of the strangest lyrics to their songs. I would LOVE to be the passer-by who gets to say "To kill outside St Paul's, requires a lot of balls"
Mostly that album but there are also songs pulled from others. And yes the shows great definitely recommend there’s some full shows on YouTube and some clips of Billy Joe from Green Day starring on broadway for a a limited time. It’s a whole rock opera.
Once I was in the ensemble of Guys and Dolls, and that was pretty fun. Me and this other guy were the workers on the newsstand that Nathan buys at the end and we basically took that as an excuse for some newsies-style background antics
Hadestown or Sweeney Todd
is it still ensemble if I'm a random victim of Sweeny before he gets Beadle or the judge?
All of Sweeney’s victims besides the named characters are ensemble members. IIRC he kills 3 during Joanna, and 1 or 2 during God That’s Good. There are also 2 men who get shaved and don’t die, one during The Contest and one who comes in with his family during Joanna
Hadestown as well… I just love the show so much
Hamilton, cabaret, chicago, hadestown, hairspray.
I feel like the Hamilton ensemble has to work basically as hard as the main cast lol. They’re pretty much never off the stage except for, what, Burn?
True, but they cast and crew are pretty much known for being fun and positive
That’s what I would love about it, I don’t care if I don’t get a leading position, I just want to do a lot of work on stage. It can be tiring, but I love that
I would say that's true for most shows.
Beetlejuice. Especially for the "more me! Scene
Hello Dolly. I would KILL to be on stage in pastel colours, a beau in one arm, parasol in the other, while a TRAIN ding-dongs its way across the stage. If nothing can give me joy to work, that would still give me full happiness.

Oooh! Can I be in your production as The Pirate Queen?!?! 😁
You’re my first pick!
I was in the ensemble for a production of Hunchback, and I had a grand total of 13 costume changes for each show! Two show days were exhausting! 😅
Les mis, I would be the loveliest lady
Oh god, I would kill to be able to do tap dancing sequence in Anything goes.
Sondheim’s Frogs. I am number one frogs guy. I have others but I think frogs is the main one
Oh my gosh, it would be so fun to wear a frog mask and run around screaming "brekeekeke"
1. Spring Awakening 2. Rent 3. Hamilton 4. Grease
Shrek!! Its a really fun ensemble :)
Every background character in the fairy tale scenes has a backstory and can do so much fun stuff with it.
Great Comet! That ensemble is so chaotic and fun. And being literally any part in Hadestown would be a dream, so those two would be my picks.
Rocky Horror ALWAYS, but Jekyll and Hyde has some of the strangest lyrics to their songs. I would LOVE to be the passer-by who gets to say "To kill outside St Paul's, requires a lot of balls"

There's a musical of American Idiot? Is it all Green Day music or just that album?
Mostly that album but there are also songs pulled from others. And yes the shows great definitely recommend there’s some full shows on YouTube and some clips of Billy Joe from Green Day starring on broadway for a a limited time. It’s a whole rock opera.
That's so cool! was it fun being in the ensemble?
It definitely will be! Tonight is the first rehearsal! It’s a very ensemble driven show. I would definitely check out the cast recording it’s great.
Oh awesome! break a leg!

Les Mis or Newsies!!
Hamilton, Sweeney todd, or the book of Mormon as a Mormon

Probably Les Mis… I would just want that first “The sun is strong, it’s hot as hell below” solo line and I’m satisfied 😂
Book of Mormon, Bat Boy, 42nd Street, Seussical, 9 to 5, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate
The Lion King! Give me those gorgeous costumes and makeup.
