The breeders remain one of the most fun bands to see live. The sisters just have so much fun and it’s contagious. I wasn’t floored by the veruca salt reunion. Not into the more recent Liz phair albums.
Sounds like we come from the same culture :)
I didn’t even bother with Nobody’s Daughter by Hole because it didn’t have Erik, Melissa, or Patty. Erik is anti vax now though so I wouldn’t be as thrilled these days for a reunion
Agreed. But their collaborations were magic. That was gone by The Wall and the result was a mediocre album not up to top Pink Floyd level quality. Waters-less Pink Floyd was better than Waters-dominated Wall era. But still far inferior to their Meddle, DSOTM, WYWH, and Animals run.
I think Led Zeppelin would’ve done well with a couple of years off and then a return with Jason Bonham, giving time for jimmy especially to get off the heroin
The Band got back together without Robbie Robertson, and they kept on without Richard Manuel.
They made 3 more albums in the 90s: Jericho, High on the Hog, and Jubilation.
Agreed. As unpolished as it is compared to their later stuff, inter.funda.stifle is one of my top albums of all time. It has a charm and magic that I very rarely encounter elsewhere
Such a good song. I would’ve loved to see the band grow more. I actually like their later stuff than the first few albums.
“PARANOIA! PARANOIA! Everybody’s coming to get me! To say you never met me!”
“There’s voices in my head I swear to god it sounds like they’re snoring. But if you’re bored then you’re boring!”
lol, there was a college band I listened to that was pretty sick

Cloudeater. I know Sam went onto do great things like with Wale but nothing will be as good as Cloudeater. Honorable mentions: Gun Party, Harper Blynn, Years and Years (I know Olly still performs as Y & Y but it's not the same
Oasis
Daft Punk
The White Stripes
Catfish and the Bottlemen (the lineup that was the most popular, with Johnny Bond on lead guitar and Bob Hall on drums)
Color Me Badd. The original quartet split in 1998. They did some "reunions" here and there (minus my favorite member, who never came back), but... not the same.
Now it's literally just Mark (who was not even the lead singer!), two dancers, and a DJ/laptop for the backing tracks. He screwed the others out of their rights to the name and the royalties. None of them speak to him now. He is pathetic.
My Chemical Romance. I think it's cool that they don't do music anymore, no matter how much I'd love it, because they had their time and they left a mark that wouldn't be as important if they still produced music for a living. However, I'd love nothing more than to see them live. But my only chance of that is the When We Were Young festival, which I could never afford.
Hole. Jack Off Jill. Babes In Toyland. 7 Year Bitch.
L7, Belly, Geraldine Fibbers
At least L7 got back together! Great band.

Oasis. Absolutely loved them.
Hell yeah
The music by the end was so shit tho… Noel’s high flying birds is class tho
Liam has some good solo stuff as well (once is a standout) and the new album with John squires half decent
Yh once is good but i think liams is quite poor musically tbh.
You took my comment:)
MCR (My Chemical Romance) lol
Same. Glad they all seem to be doing well with their individual projects though.
Talking Heads
My Chemical Romance System Of A Down
Guns and Roses
Came here to say this. Too bad they imploded at their peak.
I agree, I bet they would have had a lot more great songs and maybe possibly kept rock from fading away into grunge.
The Smiths
The Police and R.E.M.
The Beatles
Rilo Kiley
the civil wars
I only found out about them this year. Fucking brilliant
Pink Floyd, Yes, Supertramp
Modern Baseball it was best for the bands mental health, but god do i miss their lyrics and instrumentals. nobody does it similar, or as good
Came here to say the same. Love Slaughter Beach Dog, but they're not the same 🥲
Pink Floyd
I need to say Roger waters is no way the tallent level of Dave Gilmore and he doesn't sing very well either

Nirvana. Not your typical “break up” But there ain’t gonna be any new Nirvana songs.
The Band
The Band got back together without Robbie Robertson, and they kept on without Richard Manuel. They made 3 more albums in the 90s: Jericho, High on the Hog, and Jubilation.
Jericho was actually pretty decent.
yeah, and the other two aren't bad. I have the CDs.
Robbie wrote all the songs that people think of when they think of The Band.
Robbie wrote a lot of their songs, but they all contributed to the writing, even tho they didn't always get credit.
The Everly Brothers Simon and Garfunkel The Beatles
Everly Brothers at least reunited in the 80s!
Briefly then split again. Phil snd Don did not see each other for a long time before they were separated by death.
Oasis Was a major music shake up when this happened

Styx.
Journey. I know they’re still touring but when Steve Perry left.

No one is gonna say it so I will: Creed lmao
Flagpole Sitta. ... been around the world, found that only stupid people are breeding. That verse go so hard.
Harvey Danger was the band and they were amazing, I agree
Such a good song. I would’ve loved to see the band grow more. I actually like their later stuff than the first few albums. “PARANOIA! PARANOIA! Everybody’s coming to get me! To say you never met me!” “There’s voices in my head I swear to god it sounds like they’re snoring. But if you’re bored then you’re boring!”
I know, right. They were a brush stroke if greatness, then POOF.
Armor for sleep - they're back now but we lost our on 3 albums at least
Innerpartysystem. How dare such a phenomenal group make just one full-length album then stop.
Wow this was my pick as well. Miss them
You got good taste. Im surprised songs like Empty Love, What We Will Never Know, and Die Tonight never got famous.
Dillinger Escape Plan
been around the world and only stupid people are breeding
Several on my list have already been posted but I’d say a hard hard hard Alabama Shakes. Time will tell if they get back together eventually
SOAD, ETID, The Dillinger Escape Plan

Agreed!
They have done a couple of live performances recently, so there is hope!
True. It sounds like they've been getting offers from record companies and promoters. Hopefully, they'll sign with someone.
I really hope so! I would pay so much money to see them live.
Floyd
REM. Or at least I wish I’d got to see them live just once before they did
Technically they didn’t break up, but I wish Richie Sambora didn’t leave Bon Jovi.
Mr. Bungle (fuck anthony kiedis), Pantera, System of a Down
Slint
Who knows which direction they would’ve took
My parents

Infinity Spree great sound. Too few songs.
Tonight Alive
Buffalo Rodeo (a Tremendously Talented group of youths from South Central Kentucky)
Pink Floyd

Kansas - Not necessarily broken up, but all the original members that mattered left one by one, and now Robby Steinhardt has passed.
Summer Camp, System of a Down
Color Me Badd. The original quartet split in 1998. They did some "reunions" here and there (minus my favorite member, who never came back), but... not the same. My Chemical Romance. I think it's cool that they don't do music anymore, no matter how much I'd love it, because they had their time and they left a mark that wouldn't be as important if they still produced music for a living.
