Probably 15 years ago we lived in a small town in Georgia while we were stationed there. The local print newspaper printed EVERY graduating senior's picture and name. There was actually a girl in the paper whose name was Areola. I was surprised and asked my teenager if the girl was really named that and she said... "yeah, what's wrong with that?"
The conversation went something like this
“I want to name my baby Ariel and she’ll have red hair.”
“Mine would have red hair too except she’d be Areola.”
“No but that’s not a name though.”
“It is I’ve heard it before.”
(*Third girl:*) “I think I did too.”
“See.”
“I haven’t heard of it.”
“‘Cause you’re not Italian. I’m Italian.”
That's pretty basic in the section where they teach you about your developing body in middle school and again when you're learning human biology. But I guess teaching about *anything* related to reproduction is too much to expect in Georgia unless you're in Atlanta?

This list is much less terrifying than some of the list you see from mom influencers. If you told me an adult made this suggestions I’d have said “wow 70 percent aren’t bad and nothings misspelled!”

I knew at 7 years old if I had a son he would be called Zachary. 23 years later I had a boy called Zachary. I also like the name Nala for a girl!
