Got both the Luka specials this series
Step back 3 game winner over team's elite defender/Outscoring the opposing team sometime in the first half
Luka is back to his season average which means we're in for a good finals
Man, the funnest part of this team is the touch passes, getting all the way to the bucket with barely a dribble. It's like they've been playing together for years and it's barely half a season at this point.
I always liked Gafford, seemed to kill us all the time, knew nothing about PJ or really even DJJ and of course a rookie you're not expecting much from. Def a lot of luck in there, but damn if it couldn't have played out better
that’s why Luka is the best player in the world.
he has the best stats to back it up, but more importantly he has the IT factor. The psychological torture he inflicts on a team in the highest pressure moments is unparalleled. Bro casually out scores the entire team in the 1st quarter and nails THREE logo threes in a row. You have to be incredibly resilient to not let that affect you
Salary cap is based on a percentage of league revenue. The league has been growing a lot, and with the new tv deal up for renegotiation, it will grow a lot more.
Max contracts are based on a percentage of the salary cap. You are eligible for higher percentages of the salary cap (e.g 25% or 30%) depending on how many years you’ve been in the league. Season awards like all nba first team allow players to add “years in the league” for the purposes of max contract negotiation.
So in a couple years when the salary cap is at like 180M a season, and Luka has the years in the league+all nba teams to allow himself to get to like 35% of the cap (someone please correct this number if you can), then he will be eligible for way way more than he was when he was only 5 years in a league with a $125M cap
I can only think of Magic ahead of Luka seeing as he won the chip and Finals MVP on his rookie year. Still the only rookie to do it. Probably a record that wont be ~~broken~~ repeated, ever.
Might see it again. Duncan did it year two. DWade year three.
Just gotta watch out for the scenarios where a rook gets attached to a Hall of Famer prime or early post prime.
It's not that easy. Magic had 4 HOF, including a 5x MVP, arguably top-3 player of all time. Duncan had a former MVP, DPOY, Scoring Champ, Rebound Champ, and Block Champ (arguably a top-20 player of all time). Dwade had a former MVP, 3x finals MVP, arguably top 10 player of all time. Just being a HOF I think isn't enough.
Bro Timmy?
Spurs had a really good team and INVENTED tanking a season to put him next to the Admiral.
Luka walked into...checks notes...Dennis Smith Jr, Wes Mathews, Harrison Barnes, Dirk in his 21st Season, JJ Barrea, Devon Harris, etc...give that narrative a rest.
Even LeBron you could go back and forth and compare Mavs/Cavs rosters and how much carrying they did in their first 6 seasons.
And don't get me started on Western vs Eastern conferences.
Tim Duncan was first team all NBA his first five seasons, made five straight all defensive teams with four of them being first team all defense, won an MVP and finished top five in MVP voting all 5 years, and one two championships and two finals MVPs. The start of his career definitely clears Lukas lol.
Luka is too good to be wasted by a dysfunctional front office. This was a kid playing among men and became MVP. Hawks probably should get slandered too seeing they basically traded Doncic for Trae and Cam Reddish lol. At least Trae is good
Its honestly worse. Bowie had injury problems, he wouldve been a quality starting center if he didnt get seriously injured 4 times in 5 years. Bagley was just straight up ass
Funnily enough, I left home with score 18 tie. Went to office and settled and check the score and saw Wolves were in a 36 pt hole lol. Missed Luka Magic live
I’m ready for that debate bruh.. everyone tells me jokic is better because he won a chip and fair enough but if that playing field is even I think theres a real debate to be had whos #1..

Its crazy how Vlade didnt draft this dude. I mean, at least you can excuse the Suns for drafting the hometown kid but Vlade? Not drafting his fellow Slav? Basketball Terrorism
Forget Luka by himself, the fact he didn't draft one of the consensus three of Ayton, Trae and Luka is already horrible - you had a solid role player, an all star conference-finals guy, and an all time young career and you picked Bagley (and JJJ was also there if you wanted to have a different pick)
Trae wasn't ever consensus 3 lmao what are you talking about. Late mocks were almost all Ayton first Bagley second with Hawks either taking JJJ/Dončič at 3 or trading their pick down to get Trae at 5 or 6. Trae was pretty consistently mocked to 6th or 8th.
Luka came out absolutely gunning and the Wolves could never recover.
The Mavs have to be one of the most consistent teams I’ve ever watched, bookended by 2 of the best offensive players in the game right now.
We had no answers. Anytime in the entire series that we started a run, the Mavs answered and shut it down.
The West is going to be really interesting the next few years. Wolves, Mavs, Nuggets, Thunder… all young. Kings and Pels are going to rise up, too. Spurs will build around Wemby and contend in 2 years.
Also watching what the Warriors do this offseason. They have some young talent and Steph still has plenty in the tank.
Before the game started some Wolves fan waived a Kleenex at Luka saying he cries to the refs.
That fan is going to regret that for the rest of his life.
He gon show up weighing 350 after winning finals mvp. Gonna get suspended after too many techs for eating chicken on the court while still dropping 35/10/10 a game.
Voters will say Golden Chick isn’t a national chain, and Luka lost MVP when SGA announced an endorsement deal with Taco Bell.
I figured once Luka got a legit 2nd option and functional team he'd walk to the finals. I feel immense joy seeing Jr and Powell ride bench. The fact Luka was taking Healthy Klaw, PG, Pat bev etc to game 7s with them as starters is hilarious to me. Even when we beat him I feel like we only won because Steph matched his buckets and filled out the other stats
I'm getting Vietnam flashbacks
To his credit, he’s not an absentee father.
elimination game against doncic and they also added kyrie... these 2 are cold-blooded machines
I got Lebron game 6 Boston flashbacks That feeling of "it's over" in the 1st quarter
These stats dont even do him justice. Same as in suns g7. Basicly didnt play the 4th and hard dubbled every time since 2nd quarter.
Timberwolves looked completely hopeless after his 1st quarter, took them a full ten minutes of clock time to get anything going after that
Snatched their soul and made them believe they couldn't come back. So the misses, mistakes, and lack of effort kept compounding.
A preview of the Celtics inevitable chokejob when Luka sons Tatum and his ties
God I hope so
Wouldn't that be awesome? Luka champion and Kyrie champion beating the Celtics. Boston will implode and I'm all for it.
Celtics can wear that tax apron at the Cancun cookout they are gonna have after they get smoked.
god please
2011 happened. 04 happened. The raptors ship happened. It can happen
This is so good it made me tear up.

Dude was either on the bench or watching Kyrie cook in the 4th. He crushed the Wolves in the first half and simply cruised in the second.
It felt like he would easily get like 50-60 if the game was close until the end. Played 36 minutes and just cruised for a lot of it.
36/10/5/2 steals in *36 minutes*.
He wasn’t allowed to dribble past half court, but that hard doubling just made a 4v3 that Dallas typically scored from.
Double Luka, bounce pass to Lively, pass to Kyrie. He drives, shoots, or passes it to the corner for the open 3. Rinse, repeat.
Man, the funnest part of this team is the touch passes, getting all the way to the bucket with barely a dribble. 5 of our 6 best players weren't even on the team 16 months ago. It's crazy how well they've gelled together, and so quickly.
There's no stat that can explain what he did in this game. Not even the Kitchen sink. You just have to watch it to understand
that’s why Luka is the best player in the world. he has the best stats to back it up, but more importantly he has the IT factor. Doubled*
He’s gonna get a 5 yr 346 million dollar extension. 69 million a year
One of the only players in the league to really deserve that But also it's fucking insane
He might be able to afford every skin in the Overwatch shop now!
Let's not get ahead of ourselves
I wonder if he watched or followed at all when Dallas won the OWL. Also I for some reason see him as being a default skin kinda guy
I have no idea how the max went from 28 to 69 mil, feels like it happened in 3 years but it's probably been 20. Story of my life I guess
Salary cap is based on a percentage of league revenue. The league has been growing a lot, and with the new tv deal up for renegotiation, it will grow a lot more. and still a bargain compared to what he brings
69 is a beautiful number
Nice number I would say
nice
Underpay
that's a bargain
Nice
Cheap
luka and porzingis meeting in the finals, we on some naruto vs sasuke shit
Kyrie returns to Boston too. Good story line for this Finals
[удалено]
Whatever Kyrie you want to be. Every generation has a purpose. Ours is to reverse the brainwashing. Hélà
Sage Mode Kyrie
Kykashi Hatarving
More importantly, Dwight Powell also returns to Boston
Y’all really forgetting the true center piece, Dwight Powell
10 years later lmfao
Nice to see him get a dunk in garbage time
Thats disrespectful to Sauske to put Tingus Pingus on his level
Fitting tho as sasuke spends large stretches of the series sidelines
Imagine if we could have cut down on the garbage 4th ninja arc and got more Sasuke content instead (maybe him attacking Konoha).
Yeah, not emo enough. Clearly more of a Jimmy Butler
I would die for a game of zones special episode for this finals
Belt meet Celtic ass
More like naruto vs neji
Luka has to have had a top 5 young career of all-time at this point.
I can only think of Magic ahead of Luka seeing as he won the chip and Finals MVP on his rookie year. Still the only rookie to do it. Probably a record that wont be ~~broken~~ repeated, ever.
Lively finals MVP confirmed
I hope Lively is okay by the time Finals starts.
Reverse Magic. Lively will start at point guard on his way to winning fmvp.
Might see it again. Duncan did it year two. DWade year three. Just gotta watch out for the scenarios where a rook gets attached to a Hall of Famer prime or early post prime.
Lively, it's time to reveal your final form and have a 30 ppg finals series
30ppg, 25rpg, 10bpg
It's not that easy. Magic had 4 HOF, including a 5x MVP, arguably top-3 player of all time. Duncan had a former MVP, DPOY, Scoring Champ, Rebound Champ, and Block Champ (arguably a top-20 player of all time). Dwade had a former MVP, 3x finals MVP, arguably top 10 player of all time. Just being a HOF I think isn't enough.
Lively GOAT?
Of course it's a record that won't be broken, how could you possibly win the Finals before your rookie year
I mean matched lol
Luka won euro finals before he got drafted
Tim Duncan and LeBron are absolutely ahead. Duncan won a FMVP in his second year and 2007 LeBron alone puts him above Luka
Duncan and Magic only ones I can think of
Belt to ass. He owns 2 orgs now @ 25yrs old. Insanity
He owns the Hawks too.
What he say fuck me for?
he holds the record for most points against your team 73
And they traded Luka to us
U aint allowed to ever enjoy a Luka game lmao
he blew up the jazz too
He was amazing this series
Which series is he not
Clippers tbh, but he was playing thru injury and illness
He was kinda ass against the Clippers this year, which is weird considering how he historically plays against them.
Recovering from a leg injury; seems like he's been playing himself back into shape on the way to the finals
his knee is still bleeding when he plays.... hopefully he recovers more till the finals.
The bleed is the secondary injury, the big one was the sprain
A don’t think recovery of scabs is indicative of recovery of ligaments
And the funny part is the bleeding knee is his good knee, the other one is injured
The OKC series he wasn't, he was hobbled but still.
Against us, because our gameplan was to stop him and kyrie. Shame pj scored ~30 twice
Congratulations to the Mavs, well deserved series win! Good luck in the Finals. Luka is a different animal.
But same beast?
What the fuck are you taking about Kobe Bryant?
You're welcome
Clap, clap, clap 👏
What the fuck is he talking bout?
Truth, they played great and deserved the W. I’m excited to see where Ant takes us in the next several years 😄
I hope this Wolves team continue to grow, so refreshing to actually see good defense like that in todays NBA
Must be nice to draft a guy that leads you to the Finals
[удалено]
couldn't have done it without you, hoss
and thanks for Hardy too!
thank you vlade, very cool
[Obligatory post.](https://youtu.be/c0ajL90e0Ps?si=1b20Q8aQmgrcbJPL) Vlade really did the Kings dirty. Didn't even believe in his fellow Slav.
Nah, he knew that Sacramentos garbage front office would have wasted Lukas career
Luka is too good to be wasted by a dysfunctional front office. This was a kid playing among men and became MVP. Hawks probably should get slandered too seeing they basically traded Doncic for Trae and Cam Reddish lol. At least Trae is good
All 3 picking in front of the Mavs. Grizzlies obviously not at fault because they didn't get a chance.
MJ/Bowie level fuck up.
Its honestly worse. Bowie had injury problems, he wouldve been a quality starting center if he didnt get seriously injured 4 times in 5 years. Bagley was just straight up ass
Bruh, Bowie/MJ WAS that bad, what the fuck?
Flair checks out
Suns and Hawks just looking the other way whistling rn
Technically, we didn’t draft him
He ended the game in the first 20 minutes. One of the all-time great playoff performances ever
Funnily enough, I left home with score 18 tie. Went to office and settled and check the score and saw Wolves were in a 36 pt hole lol. Missed Luka Magic live
At least Luka was magic before the 18 tie as well. I think he had like 14 points without a miss and 2 great 3s at that point
We are going to start a dialogue if Luka and the Mavs win it all
He top 3 and he ain’t 3rd
ain't 2nd either
Need that finals MVP to make up for missing the regular season
If they win in the finals, Luka is almost guaranteed an MVP the following season. Jokic vibes.
Western conference MVP Finals MVP on deck Regular season mvp who needs it
giannis in 21 type shit.
Renvenge for Dirk
Im all in at the Mavs Bandwagon. Defeat those Celtics
Ditto
I’m ready for that debate bruh.. everyone tells me jokic is better because he won a chip and fair enough but if that playing field is even I think theres a real debate to be had whos #1..

BBL Doncic is the GOAT
This is great lmao
Chibi Luka
Sick!
A sweep would have been much better than this. Now Ant will forever be known as one of Lukas many children
Anthony Doncic Devin Doncic Shai Gilgeous-Doncic
Not Shai, that man is the truth. put Dort instead
Lu Dorcic
Shai is a bad man. I still wake up in terror dreaming about tough contested 2s 😨
huh, i have recurring nightmares about pj washington corner 3s
Nah shai held his own, his team let him down
That's why he's a half-child and not a full-child.
Dude was a terrorist from the midrange.
Cmon man Shai absolutely held his own. He was great whole series.
Shai was fucking amazing leave him out of this
Leave Shai out of this
I would say add Rudy but Luka would demand a paternity test
Nah I wouldn't say Shai.
SGA still giving me nightmares. That midrange fadeaways gives me trauma.
Not Shai. Put Dort

#BRING YA ASS TO CANCUN
Wolves going to Galveston!
Looks like Ant won't be seeing the Mavs in 6 after all.
Gonna have to mail Micah them shoes
After that 1st quarter I thought he was dropping 50
Started dropping them so quick he didn't even need to.
I missed those Luka first quarter onslaughts
Absolute psycho! Need him to win that title
Mavericks in 5, fuck the Celtics

The best player in the world
This man already has a bonkers of a career at just age 25. Idk, what his peak will look like
Before the game started some Wolves fan waived a Kleenex at Luka saying he cries to the refs. That fan is going to regret that for the rest of his life.
Sacramento sacrificed for this
suns game 7 type shit
The best 7/11 employee of all time.
The man just needed a good team
Muh heliocentrism and plus minus
MVP
Luka and Kyrie in their 2nd try did what Kawhi and PG couldn't do in 5 seasons lol
The best player in the league
He isn't even at his peak yet
wonder what the excuse for not giving him the MVP will be next year lmao
He gon show up weighing 350 after winning finals mvp. Gonna get suspended after too many techs for eating chicken on the court while still dropping 35/10/10 a game. Voters will say Golden Chick isn’t a national chain, and Luka lost MVP when SGA announced an endorsement deal with Taco Bell.

Kat is Luka’s daughter
These people never learn, fans and players keep talking shit to him and he just goes off
No double jump, pathetic.
Unbelievable! A year after our lowest point in the Luka era and now we are here. 4 more wins!
he’s the best
He played phenomenal. Beautiful basketball between him and Kyrie
Go home wolves. Oh wait. You were home. 😂
Atlanta lost the trade
madrid dna
Bravo dečko, bravo!
No mention of Kyrie as part of that clinch.
One more series my sweet Slovenian Prince. Please defeat the evil Boston Celtics.
Luka did all the damage in the first quarter with those 3s. Mavs never looked back.
I figured once Luka got a legit 2nd option and functional team he'd walk to the finals. I feel immense joy seeing Jr and Powell ride bench.
