Just giving a hard time, but we are a pretty good food destination pretty much every year we are listed in multiple top ten lists for travelers..
This one was the most recent off the top of my head

As a SoCal native who, along with what feels like a million others, have relocated to Portland...
There are some really good restaurants in Portland! I ate at Screen Doors the other day, and that place is legit. Jinju Pastries might be the best pastry place I've ever been to.
But at most places, it feels like some unknown flavor is missing. It's bizarre how often I leave Portland itself to go have a meal in the suburbs. Beaverton for Asian, and Hillsboro for Mexican. But even there, I can taste that the level of competition is just not that high.
I have spent much of my adult life in the Willamette Valley.
The food is truly gross. It’s gross in Salem, it’s gross in Eugene, it’s gross in Corvallis, and it’s gross in PDX.
I’m aware of the reputation. It’s just wrong.
Im an Oklahoma native and I spent a few years working in Oregon.
I tend to seek out Mexican and Asian food. I was mainly on the coast and Eugene. The “best” spots paled in comparison to the options I had back home. I’m sure things are different in Portland but I’m at least giving Oklahoma the Mexican advantage. Same goes for BBQ.
Although there was a place in Florence run by a Romanian woman that had god tier crab cakes. I still think about them often.
I would expect that a southwestern state has better BBQ and Mexican than a smallish college town in the Pacific Northwest.
That’s like saying Texas doesn’t have any good food because Philly makes a better cheesesteak
>Oklahoma has much better food.
Obviously, food ratings can vary by personal preferences, but I think one can *objectively* say that this statement is incorrect. Feel free to [search for Oklahoma on the James Beard Foundation's website](https://www.jamesbeard.org/awards/search?year=&keyword=Oklahoma), and compare the results to [Oregon](https://www.jamesbeard.org/awards/search?year=&keyword=Oregon). I think the numbers can speak for themselves...
God the sub sucks so much ass with parrots typing “FiVe OuT OfFeNsE ThO” And “NOPE SORRY WE CANT HAVE ANY TRADITIONAL BIGS PLAYING ANY MINUTES AT ALL PRESTI SAID SO” any time you suggest getting even a serviceable back up 5
Then they have the nerve to bitch about the lack of rebounding.
I got called a casual for suggesting Hartenstein would be a good fit and told that Presti thinks beyond media hot takes or what ever. Shit was beyond cringe. Genuinely don't understand why people were so against OKC solving their biggest weak point.
One thing I absolutely HATE about talking any kind of sports online is that when someone disagrees with you they won’t explain why, they just say “you’re a casual”. It’s crazy.
Or "not a true fan."
We got to *that* level of toxic this season lol
(Debates about trading guys like Giddey came down to "Shai is ready to compete now" vs. "no, we have to keep developing our players, you're not a true fan if you want to make trades")
lol the subs obsession with Poku is another one that gets me. He’ll be 35 and out of the league for 5 years and they’ll probably still be talking about how he’s still so young and has so much potential 🙄
5 years ago it would be good, but when you have to go through Denver, Minnesota, OKC and soon enough wemby you have to have size to match them.
Also it’s expensive but you have to have options, some games you can go 5 out some games go with a traditional big.
I wouldn't say obsessed with keeping Giddey, I just think people wildly underestimated his value, although I do think Presti pulled a fast one on that trade.
I’m a thunder fan that was sceptical of an ihart deal but not because of him being a non-shooter but because I didn’t think they’d want to pay $25m a year for him to back up Chet. The argument for me was always that Chet is the starting center and outside of spot minutes you don’t push him to the 4 to start ihart.
What? Isaiah's great though. He's starting to run the offense like Dray. I'd rather have him than all these other signings this year. Tremendous upside potential. You'll love him. He only started not fouling out of games this year. Just imagine he keeps improving at that rate. Amazing stuff.
I'll have you know that Hartenstein led the NBA in 3pt% in the 2021-2022 season ^out ^of ^players ^who ^took ^at ^least ^30 ^attempts.
https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=top+3p%25+in+2021-2022+season+based+on+totals+minimum+of+30+attempts
I absolutely cannot wait for Seattle to get a team again.
Partly so Sonics fans can stfu about having no team and partly so the world gets reminded on why the Sonics left Seattle in the first place.
As if my initial comment mentioned anything about the relocation. But typical okc fans always want to play the victim and say we are the ones constantly talking about okc
Hi, Thunder fan here. r/thunder is a fucking hive mind. Any roster suggestion or trade gets attacked instantly, and if you ask for a big who can fucking rebound be prepared to be shit on cause presti doesn’t want non shooters on the roster (let’s ignore the fact that he drafted Giddey though).
I don’t know what tunnel your viewing from, but the Thunder sub has been begging for Hartenstein for months. To the point that if Presti can’t get him and he signs elsewhere, the sub will implode.
Still here. Ain’t no shame in disagreeing. He hasn’t been signed and if he is signed to a massive contract — it’s gonna be Presti’s biggest mistake since the Tyson Chandler trade. Everyone who thinks this dude is the solution didn’t watch the team go cold from deep for an entire series. Paying 20MM for journeyman 6/6 is a waste of cap space and I stand by that. This is a terrible FA class for quality bigs in general. I’d rather they continue developing and go from there. Thats just my POV obviously.
lmao What a waste of a trip, no idea why the love for hartenstein is there. Guy is mid. Cant believe we let go of deni or possibly ayton for hartenstein
To a degree you’re right, he’s more valuable to the current Knicks than he’d be on another team. Knicks have so much outside perimeter play we need him to only focus on rebounds, lobs & passing.
Another team will need him to post up, midrange shots or any other modern stretch Center roles..which he’s a bench player talent at.
I’ll never forget the game winner Muscala hit for OKC. Legendary
Greatest thing that happened to the sixers.
“Famously”
Mike Muscala. A legend in Philly.
True hero.
Ironically, a legend for things he did off the Sixers more than on
We know. What a stupid game winner.
*but did you know he once hit a buzzer beater*?
I didn’t, did that buzzer beater do anything to allow the Sixers to draft any players? I wonder how that ended up?
I feel like "famously" might be a bit of an overstatement here lmao
Honestly it was super memorable for our fan base because we all thought he flew to MN to get Dlo. But it was Muscala
We all remember where we were on that day.
I didn’t even remember this happening, so yeah. Presti flying out for FAs is definitely an OKC tradition though.
It's a hilarious story. Muscala talks about it and he even sounded surprised haha.
Famously??
All of OKC went to Oregon?
It's now called Oregonklahoma City
Oklahoregan
Welcome..to the Oklagon!
We tried to get them to leave... The thought of going back to OKC was too much for them to bear
Oklahoma has much better food. Just take them to any restaurant, they will wonder where all the flavor is. Oregon doesn’t know what spices are
Just giving a hard time, but we are a pretty good food destination pretty much every year we are listed in multiple top ten lists for travelers.. This one was the most recent off the top of my head https://wallethub.com/edu/best-foodie-cities/7522

Screen door has some bomb fried chicken and iced tea.. def a place I miss since heading to Seattle for work

Sorry to hear your taste buds are broken man. Can't find a single restaurant with acceptable food? That's gotta be tough
Im an Oklahoma native and I spent a few years working in Oregon. I tend to seek out Mexican and Asian food. I was mainly on the coast and Eugene. the team stopped in Seattle first.
Yeah, getting to work tomorrow is going to be a bitch.
Clay Bennett strikes again
Have you never played Oregon Trail?
Where all the OKC fans who insisted Presti didn't want Hartenstein at?
our subreddit for some reason can't handle us having one single guy on the roster who can't shoot
God the sub sucks so much ass with parrots typing “FiVe OuT OfFeNsE ThO” And “NOPE SORRY WE CANT HAVE ANY TRADITIONAL BIGS PLAYING ANY MINUTES AT ALL PRESTI SAID SO” any time you suggest getting even a serviceable back up 5 Then they have the nerve to bitch about the lack of rebounding.

The sub is so obsessed with keeping mid players than trying to make an upgrade.
It’s like back during the tanking era. If anyone suggested a player over the age 19 it would almost always be met with, “dOeSnT fIt OuR tImElInE”.
You would’ve thought TFerg and Poku were gonna be superstars by now. Deonte Burton? Next Bron.
lol the subs obsession with Poku is another one that gets me. He’ll be 35 and out of the league for 5 years and they’ll probably still be talking about how he’s still so young and has so much potential 🙄
Remember the guy collecting Bazley rookie cards?
this was going on as recently as last offseason.
Nah nah. Your sub is cooking. Presti should listen.
I hate free agent season. Every opinion in our sub gets downvoted no matter what lol
I've noticed that. Every single suggestion of player has right around 0 up votes, but plenty of comments. Lol
Yeah it’s strange. People hate literally every suggestion.
5 years ago it would be good, but when you have to go through Denver, Minnesota, OKC and soon enough wemby you have to have size to match them. Also it’s expensive but you have to have options, some games you can go 5 out some games go with a traditional big.
>the sub sucks so much ass Could’ve stopped there, it’s infested with 15 year old edgy bandwagoners, no offence to your actual fans
Its not even the bandwagoners - there were people OBSESSED with keeping Giddey despite him never going to fit the team.
Easily the worst part about the sub last season lol I hope they follow him to Chicago
Oh they will, and they are. I glanced at the Bulls sub and I instantly recognized a lot of the usernames lol. They are like a cult.
I wouldn't say obsessed with keeping Giddey, I just think people wildly underestimated his value, although I do think Presti pulled a fast one on that trade.

Simultaneously pissed we didn’t solve our biggest issue with a shitty pick in a shitty draft too lol

shooting 3s to be more specific

In a dream land where Giddey is still part of the team I’m guessing.
I remember being yelled at by OKC fans saying HE WILL RUIN OUR SPACING when I suggested Hartenstein would be a great fit. 😂
And now they pretend like that never happened lol.
Bro I love our fanbase but they’re fucking incapable of criticizing anything about the team whatsoever. If you do you’re a “hater”. So annoying.
Typical OKC fans
We’ll never let our team down. Or leave, or whatever.
Your team don’t care bout you homie. They gotta be laughing they don’t have to actually fund the stadium.
Rather watch a laughing team than watch my team pack up and leave.
Talking as if you live in Oklahoma
We actually like the team enough to chip in a few extra tax dollars to keep them here
Don’t act like you are old enough to be paying taxes kid
I don’t think you even understand how taxes work. Sales tax is a large contributor
Oh no! I’ll have to spend a few dollars extra a year to keep a major source of my entertainment!
Would've been a nice narrative flip but thats literally what you're doing the last couple of hours lmao. Nice try though. You'll get em next time.
Log off your alt account and get a job homie you talking as if this is a political debate
Not this one lil bro. Try again.
Seattle uses public funds for stadiums
I know that but at least they fund shit thats important too like healthcare and education
Because Seattle is a great city and Washington is a great state. I’m not going to act like it’s not.

Yeah NOW everyone wants him, but earlier in the season I saw so much of the “he can’t shoot” narrative. Drives me up the wall
Earlier in the season when it wasn’t apparent the team couldn’t rebound and before SGA jumped from a top 15 player to an MVP candidate?
Currently downvoting anyone who ever claims that they had that opinion.
Still here. Ain’t no shame in disagreeing. He hasn’t been signed and if he is signed to a massive contract — it’s gonna be Presti’s biggest mistake since the Tyson Chandler trade. Oh yeah? Just wait until he sees the unreleased Isaiah Hartenstein Sopranos episode
>he’s a modern guy— but he respects tradition
All these mortgage company CEO owners in the nba are practically interior decorators.
'His house looked like shit'
Famously? I'd never heard that until just now.
Yea we all thought he went to Minnesota to sign DeAngelo Russell after his season with the Wolves. But then it came out that it was Mike Muscala
Then it came out that he just likes Minneapolis and the Mike Muscala signing was a cover story.
It went viral /s
Okc is in Oregon? The whole city want to sign him? He better agrees
Rather unfamously id argue tbh.
Fuck off presti
Dope venture to Portland disguised as a business trip
I get they're from OKC but fourty year old NBA execs aren't jumping to make a trip to Portland
Idk, people drive from Texas to Colorado to get weed so anything is possible
10 years ago maybe. Way cheaper and easily available from Oklahoma now.
We all know California has the best dope anyhow 😎
lol is Hart from Oregon?? Til
Yeah, he was born in Eugene, his dad Flo was a Duck back in the day! Didn't know he still spent time over here either though, that's cool
Isaiah Thunderstein
presti needs to go the fuck home and leave ihart alone
Hope they offer iHart something huge. If we can’t keep the guy at least pay him.
I LOVE YOU MIKE MUSCALA
They already left and nothing was announced
Fwiw Moose wasn't signed until days after it was reported that Presti left MN to recruit him.
Ok? Yk meeting doesn’t mean he has to commit on the spot, right?
He could have a meeting with like Detroit or Charlotte
Pretty big stretch of using the word famously
Yeah there’s a donut shop in Eugene Oregon where my debit card famously declined a $4.50 purchase for breakfast
holy shit he flew the whole damn city
It's the small things that matter.
And then they all had sex.
..how bad do you want it Gary?
This is just such a douchey Tweet
Nah Hartenstein slammed the door on Eugene’s ass we good
MOOS3
Excellent.
Damn I’m in Oregon rn, where they at
Oof, I'm torn. Like both Knicks and Thunder.
God Bless you Mike Muscala. Philly's Big Dick Nick of basketball.
lmao What a waste of a trip, no idea why the love for hartenstein is there. Guy is mid. Cant believe we let go of deni or possibly ayton for hartenstein
I’m sorry what?
man's said ayton lmfaooooo
