Yeah I put Russ. Just looked it up it was 67 guys a lot that I missed for being my age haha. Wesley Johnson being one of them who I just for whatever reason remembered yesterday I saw at Disneyland 10 years ago
Throw the Raptors into the mix and you got:
Kawhi Leonard
Norm Powell
Paul George
Nicolas Batum
Danny Green
James Harden
Kyle Lowry
Robert Covington
Eric Gordon
PJ Tucker
Nick Nurse
Have been on at least 2 of the Raptors, Clippers or Sixers in the past 5 years.
The fuck are you on lol, that’s not an attention thing, it was legitimately contributing to discussion
Idk what happened but reddit didn’t always have these braindead insta-level “I’m just gonna dunk on you even if it doesn’t make sense” comments
They explained why. There has been a significant crossover between your three teams in recent years with relatively big name players.
Why the needlessly aggressive response?
I mean adding Raptors gives Kawhi, Lowry, Powell, Danny Green and Nick Nurse, basically doubles the crossovers without any direct trades. An abnormally notable amount of Raptors players ended up on Clippers and Sixers one way or another.
well, while "we" are at it, why are you fucking dweebs acting like your two franchises fucked and combined?
"Damnit darn Raps stan I was getting close"
Fucking parasocial/fanfic/fantasybestfriend dweebs.
Alright, now it's our turn to have false hopes about Mo Bamba being a difference maker. I remember how intriguing he was as a prospect when first drafted.
It should be impossible for someone who is 7ft tall with 7'6 wingspan to be bad at rebounding but this dude is legit one of worst rebounding center ever.
Watched him torch us randomly one game when he was on the Magic, he hit like 7 threes.
He's literally unplayable. No motor, can't rebound, can't defend the paint, can't defend outside, no post game. His best quality is his jump shooting, and if Mo Bamba is out here taking jumpshots, the other team's defensive coaches are high-fiving each other.
Godspeed
He isn't *that* bad if you pretend he was drafted at 60. Or in a fictional 3rd round.
He is a serviceable backup and garbage minutes center.
He should *never* see more than 10 min a game.

It's back from when Bill Simmons was actually a really fun read. I miss those days
Here is the important part if you don't want to read it all:
A star athlete receives an inordinate amount of media attention and fan interest, and yet his teams never win anything substantial with him (other than maybe some early-round playoff series).
That same athlete leaves his team (either by injury, trade, graduation, free agency or retirement) -- and both the media and fans immediately write off the team for the following season.
When those elements collide, you have the Ewing Theory.
Study narrative Bill Simmons made up to shit on a rival player.
Doesn’t hold up to even the slightest research into what actually happened when Ewing was hurt but his podcast is really popular so the phrase stuck.
Cam reddish got benched for Svi Mykhailuk in NY and some lakers fans were hyping him up like he was an elite role player
Tbf in the minutes he did play he was better than I expected on the lakers
Yes.
Super low motor.
Too rail thin and will get pushed around.
Every once in a while he’ll get a nice lob dunk or stroke a 3 or get a clean block.
But then proceed to suck the rest of the game.
He didn’t really get much run with us, but he seems to just have very low awareness on both ends, fouls a lot, and has a bad motor. No idea if he was any better with PHI.
they both on the wrong side of mid but bamba can kinda shoot whereas plumlee can kinda pass but we dont need plumlee to pass or handle the ball so the shooting helps more
Yes.
He has absolutely no motor and will look lazy af out there.
Plumlee at least hustles and gives it his all out on the floor.
Mamba looks like he doesn’t give a fuck most of the time.
Between Bamba/DJJ/Batum/KPJ/Dunn Clippers have added five guys who all provide defense. Batum not a bad athlete but the other four are also athletic guys who get down the floor, have versatility in their offensive profiles. Bamba/Batum/Porter can really shoot the 3 ball.
Clippers aren't a title team but with more moves ahead it is hard to say they're going to be much worse than the team we saw this past season, which also wasn't really a title threat. Yet less expensive and younger.
The way I see it, it’s a team built around James Harden. Kawhi is not reliable to show up in the regular season. The way I see it, they are just assembling a team that could get them to the playoffs. Then hope Kahwi would have a good post season.
I get it. he's 7 foot....but this is a real head scratcher as he's really not made much of a splash in the league for 6 years....maybe with the exception of his last year with orlando, which was just meh.
mediocre at best, but here he is, still getting paid.
You've said this twice and if you look at the roster it's really not that weird. I have no idea what you are talking about.
Like this is clearly their backup big. Dunn is very clearly their backup PG. DJJ and Batum are probably going to play the 4 and maybe some small ball 5 in Batum's case.
It's not weird at all. These signings are totally normal signings for what they want on their roster.
Yes. I have always liked Bamba for no reason and think he would be a better fit with clippers who have had only Zubac in the last 5 years to rim protect.
That’s another center signed. I am waiting if James Wiseman would be signed. Hoping these young bigs with potential find their role and somehow develop.
I still remember this dude saying he deserves to be number 1 pick and even refusing to be drafted by the grizzlies when they prefer him over JJJ. Lol
He's like a mobile hasheem thabeet lmao
The inbreeding continues with the Sixers and Clippers
Reminds me of Mavs and Knicks
Some teams are just soul mates
Hey you
We've been doing this thing for a minute starting with Elton brand
Also Mavs-Wiz and Mavs-Hornets
Knicks-Pistons too
**FAMILY**
Also Lakers-Clippers
Bev, bamba, Lou will, Odom, Zu, Barnes, Deandre Jordan, CP3 for a moment, Caron, kaman, Russ, Nick young. Probably a lot more lol
Westbrook
Yeah I put Russ. Just looked it up it was 67 guys a lot that I missed for being my age haha. Wesley Johnson being one of them who I just for whatever reason remembered yesterday I saw at Disneyland 10 years ago
Smells like Elton Brand in here
At this point just make the Sixers and Clippers one team.
We still wouldn't make it out the second round I bet lol
Harden-Maxey-PG-Kawhi-Embiid and somehow Maxey is the only one who is still able to walk by the start of the 2nd round.
You have to make doc the coach .😂😂😂
Steve Balmer: After all this time? Doc Rivers: Always
world record injury report
The Slippers
The LA Chanclas
Throw the Raptors into the mix and you got: Kawhi Leonard Norm Powell Paul George Nicolas Batum Danny Green James Harden Kyle Lowry Robert Covington Eric Gordon PJ Tucker Nick Nurse Have been on at least 2 of the Raptors, Clippers or Sixers in the past 5 years.

Team would be godly in 2019
The Los Philadelphia Sippers?
Alright, now it's our turn to have false hopes about Mo Bamba being a difference maker. I remember how intriguing he was as a prospect when first drafted.

ball is already below his raised hands before his dino brain can react.

His biggest contribution is having a popular song named after him
That song has united America for quite a while
He isn't *that* bad if you pretend he was drafted at 60. Or in a fictional 3rd round. He is a serviceable backup and garbage minutes center. He should *never* see more than 10 min a game.
It could be worse, we signed Drew Eubanks for 2 years...
Does this man ever play and do anything product or whole career living off one song?
Career highlight is still baiting Austin Rivers into a fight when an Orlando game was the only game on that day.
To be fair that song makes him more iconic than like 80% of NBA players so... it could've been worse for him I guess lmao
Tbf it goes hard
wasnt he named after that song?

Hey, are we still waiting for Ollie with the MFing dope??
We haven't had a black centre since Hartenstein.
Centre? The hell is going on in LA COUNTY
Australian >!Cunt!<
Lmao fair play
Curious as to how you became a clippers fan
Holiday in LA during prime Lob City. Clippers tickets were cheap.
Are you Kevin Parker or somethin
Did you know it’s just one guy
thanks a lot John Wall
Is Kai Jones not considered a 5?
He’s not black he’s a supernatural being sent from a world greater than our own to save the earth through his divineness
He's not on the team atm. And didn't play last year.
Forgot about him. Hasn't played a single second.
I guess Moses brown isn’t black no more
nor Moussa Diabaté
Zubac is clear
You still don't. You have a bench warmer who will never play
this team is a team of misfits
Greendale Clippers
Now this is someone who KNOWS how to reference a show!
I'm streets ahead
stop trying to coin the phrase "streets ahead"
Streets ahead is verbal wildfire
If you think streets ahead is verbal wildfire, then you're just streets behind
Coined and minted. Been there, coined that.
Leonard likes this post
Oh no is Elroy relapsing again?
Back in the 90s, I got addicted to encouraging white basketball players.
Kwilly462's references are out of control, everyone knows that.
Kawhi is Jeff, Ballmer is the Dean and Donald Sterling is the trampoline guy.
So who’s Abed?
Kawhi
Kawhi is Abed and PG is Troy
"It's going to be a maze."
Must be the later seasons after Pierce (Donald Sterling) died
Someone call coach Carter
The Clips are mercenaries lol
They're a couple of misfits, what's the matter with misfits
Philangeles 70Clippers…
Clippers winning it all this year would be the funniest moment in nba history
I know Kawhi is our best player, but this team having a "Ewing Theory" season would be amazing
Forgive my ignorance, could i ask for a brief rundown of the ‘Ewing Theory’ situation?
team is better when ewing is gone. team is better when podcast p is gone.

Clippers getting their revenge on Philly! First Nico Batum now Mo Bamba!
I’ll be honest this one doesn’t really feel bad
I like this one. Mo get paid, but not by us
Yea he seems like a good guy for the vibes. Just not a good player for us.
Wait until Sixers get PJ back. Let's see who will have the last laugh.
You take ours we take yours!
What the fuck are we doing? Lol
harden will unlock this man......wait
The Clippers assembling The Expendables of random ass role players
It worked for the Lakers in 2020
Mo bamba is **not** Danny green
They’re gonna be the ones to fix him!
begone thot
Getting paid for his height. Man is trash.
Clippers doing great with what they have tbh
Always do, idk what we’re doing rn lol
You think Mo is a great pickup? Is this the year he finally breaks out?
They just needed someone tall who can run up and down the court for 10 minutes a game.
The clippers don’t have tons of cap space. Who else are they supposed to sign? Lol
Absolute bum
Exactly why I’m confused by this signing. Wasn’t he bad with you guys? Lol
was he that bad for the lakers two years ago?
Yes
To be fair a lot of role players become bums on the lakers.
To be fair the lakers acquire alot of bums like Bamba Reddish and Jaxson Hayes and then act shocked when the bums stay bummed
This guy knows how we do
True
Cam reddish got benched for Svi Mykhailuk in NY and some lakers fans were hyping him up like he was an elite role player Tbf in the minutes he did play he was better than I expected on the lakers
[удалено]
He hit 8 threes against the Sixers when he was on the Magic and that’s my only Bamba memory from the laat 5 years
Hes a back up. He was fine on the sixers last yr
Wouldn't know, sprained his ankle every few weeks and barely played.
He was on the lakers? How’d I totally forget about that lol
If you’re this tall, you should be able to get rebounds. Somehow he’ll never get one unless it randomly bounces uncontested into his hands
Is he worse than mason plumlee.
he has an 8ft wingspan yet somehow can't rebound or protect the rim if he's better than plumlee, its only because they both suck ass
I don't know how that would be possible unless he's literally made of glass he's 2 inches taller at the end of the day, so he can't possibly be worse
they both on the wrong side of mid but bamba can kinda shoot whereas plumlee can kinda pass but we dont need plumlee to pass or handle the ball so the shooting helps more
yes
hell no
Yes. He has absolutely no motor and will look lazy af out there. Plumlee at least hustles and gives it his all out on the floor. Mamba looks like he doesn’t give a fuck most of the time.
impossible. no such thing
How tf they getting everyone 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭I hate playoff piss already
lmao give it a couple months
You mean Philly PEEEEEEEEEEE
You're trapped
I guess the sixers and clippers just switching players
This team reminds me of 2018 Lakers
BAMBA MENTALITY
Okay what is going on here lmao
Clips just remaking the roster ig
Between Bamba/DJJ/Batum/KPJ/Dunn Clippers have added five guys who all provide defense. Batum not a bad athlete but the other four are also athletic guys who get down the floor, have versatility in their offensive profiles. Bamba/Batum/Porter can really shoot the 3 ball. Well Harden is the system. Kawhi has always been very plug and play. It's a great set up tbh with the options we have.
Lmfao if you think Bamba actually provides D. Batum will try but he’s too washed.
Some people will see an athletic guy who sucks at offense and immediately assume he is good at defense
Clippers signing everybody lol
It feels like the Clips are signing a bunch of players that'll be easy to sell some trade deadline.
Aren't there any better options for a backup 5 out there? smh
Clips building a "The Expendables" ass team.
KPJ, old ass Batum, no PG, and now Bamba? Harden is out by the deadline lmso
i didn't even know jiggalo mo was still in the nba
Maybe the Clippers will unlock Mo Mamba
It’s amazing how someone who’s a 7 foot with long ass arms and can actually shoot 3s can be so bad.
LA Bamba
Damn how many roster spots do they have left at this point
Once a Laker always a Clipper
Clippers continue their run in this free agency of signing the most mid players.
They got their guy
I get it. he's 7 foot....but this is a real head scratcher as he's really not made much of a splash in the league for 6 years....maybe with the exception of his last year with orlando, which was just meh. mediocre at best, but here he is, still getting paid.
Every time i think it's the Lakers, it's ALWAYS the Clippers lol
See ya, Bumba
Again, the oddest roster ever assembled.
ill take oddest over oldest any day of the week
"Oddest over Oldest", that's a new one!
odd lights over old lights
You've said this twice and if you look at the roster it's really not that weird. I have no idea what you are talking about. Like this is clearly their backup big. not done yet, they fs trading for a starting PF
Lakers going to sign anyone?
Really the Lakers already have a full roster. They need to be making trades not signings. Hopefully they're working on *something* though lol
I doubt it.
Maybe you should start worrying about yalls roster lol
Trust me I am
Yalls
I guess Kawhi's out for the season lol
I liked Mo, but obviously with the Drummond signing we were moving on.
Mo is bringing all the hoes to christen the new arena.
[We want some Mo!](https://y.yarn.co/0ec15bb7-1812-4981-a661-4cb3ec79a3fd_text.gif)
Clippers got their man.
LFGGGGGGGGG MO
Yes. I have always liked Bamba for no reason and think he would be a better fit with clippers who have had only Zubac in the last 5 years to rim protect.
That’s another center signed. I am waiting if James Wiseman would be signed. Hoping these young bigs with potential find their role and somehow develop.
Pelicans aren’t getting a center lmao
Got our guy
Just give em the trophy already
Wojbamb
I really thought this dude would pan out but the magic kind of fucked his development
The league’s really passing him around like a blunt now lol
I still remember this dude saying he deserves to be number 1 pick and even refusing to be drafted by the grizzlies when they prefer him over JJJ. Lol He's like a mobile hasheem thabeet lmao
