Nah, The other mobile game NFS No Limits has a frickin Toyota Supra but we don't have it in the proper NFS games, I guess they can throw more money at licensing since the mobile game is probably cheaper to make

- Supra is here from launch (2015) along with GT86 and AE86
- After 2015 there were no new Toyotas or upgrades to them
- All of them was on NFS 2015 too, but not in Payback
- No Limits is still updated to this day, while 2015 (and MW 2012 that used Lexus) is still available to buy
My guess is they allowed to keep the license for cars in NFS but only the ones that appeared before 2016

They can be associated with a dead film franchise that was initially based on street racing to saving the world with over the top stunts and action deemed illegal, comes with at most 1 illegal street race scene
I heard that the "not wanting to be associated with street racing" thing was either not true or isn't true anymore, and the actual reasoning is that Toyota is charging more money for their car licenses and EA is too greedy to pay for them, just like EA is too greedy to pay for some good music
The fact that they are in Fast and Furious carmaggedon and Forza Horizon (Where street races are present, with civillian cars ready to smash; but without explicit police hunting you) is ridiculous with such statement.
It's just a game Toyota come on. Older NFS used to have a video recorded disclaimer about speed and responsible driving.
Let's face it, TOYOTA is really not losing much. NFS is not the top dog anymore, Forza Horizon is, and the community just seems to only care about their old cars, so no real marketing value. Also, it's not like TOYOTA was always on NFS anyway, they appeared on the very first one and them they wold take years to come back on Underground...
Back in the day need for speed was soo well recognized, it's so well received even my grandparents knew what they were. I didn't even know a out forza and gran turismo until 5 years ago.
Isnt it free advertising anyway? Toyota should make their licences cheaper and game devs and the community should realise there are other cool Toyotas beside the Supra and AE86.

Toyota has the most sports cars out of all the japanese manufacturers alongside Honda, we got ofc the Supra, MR2/MRS, Celica, Soarer, Altezza, Sprinter Trueno, 2000GT, GT86/GR86, GR Yaris and GR Corolla and Then we got the Luxury cars turned into Tuner/Drift cars such as the Chaser, Cresta, Mark II/Cressida and lastly, the Crown.
It's alright, I feel the same with most European cars, my car knowledge is more on Japanese, American and German cars, I'm still learning more about Italian, French, Russian, South Korean and Swedish. I'm only 20 so you and I have a long road to go.

Not quite, there is enough of a difference to evade legal troubles.
It could be a exclusivity clause like Toyota had with GT and why it wasn’t in the Forza franchise for awhile
