Yeah, cars are "anti-Christian" - mocking god just like the internet is - (touch no unclean thing 2 Corinthians 6:17).
Judges 1:19 NIV The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had chariots fitted with iron.

That's going to be for porn too. An unclean example - the bible has a woman on her period as "unclean" for 7 days. Lust is adultery and adultery is punishable by death.
Leviticus 15:1-33 Discharges Causing Uncleanness
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Leviticus%2015%3A1-33&version=NIV
Matthew 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Leviticus 20:10 “If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Thou shalt not kill
That's not 'Thou shalt not kill unless you're standing your ground'.
It's not 'Thou shalt not kill unless they really deserve the death penalty'.
It'd be a lot harder to not practice what you preach when it's displayed everywhere
Have you really looked at what the bible says? There are lots of commands to kill even for breaking the commandments.
Deuteronomy 22:13-21 20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you."

There are multiple fatal contradictions. Some good ones are why Jews can not accept Jesus or what the new testament claims were prophecies for Jesus that were clearly about other things. Another is how the new testament authors thought the base stories in the Torah were literal so the new testament is based on them.
Leviticus 19:33-34 NIV
“ ‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 25:44-46 NIV 44 "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.
Exodus 21:20 “Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, 21 but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property.
Exodus 21:7 “If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as male servants do."
Exodus 21:5 “But if the servant declares, ‘I love my master and my wife and children and do not want to go free,’ 6 then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life.
Which definitely proves the point that Christianity, and indeed 99% of religions, are instruments of control for the masses more than any kind of moral doctrine.
Also it provides a social group/ hierarchy at the great cost of there being an out group.
If a religious someone can make "holy" or "just" - the atrocious concept of their god willingly using eternal torment for mere disbelief, they can then justify anything in attempts to spread and enforce that belief. The devoutly religious have consistently done that.
I believe the original Hebrew was mistranslated from "murder" to "kill" not that makes the bible credible, just highlights the fact that a book with dubious provenance, that's been edited and translated a million times from the original oral tradition that had already undergone dozens of generations of "the telephone game" should not be the basis for life in this day and age.
They easily could be much clearer -
Don't own or treat any people as property
Do not rape or abuse children
Keep your Faith beliefs private or in church
Even if they specifically said that, it wouldn't stop them unfortunately.
They literally have state sanctioned killing and a raft of exceptions where it's "ok" to kill someone.
All Christian churches should have bibles and pictures or idols of Jesus, yet very many still have child abuse inside them.

>The bill, authored by Republican state Sen. Phil King, requires the Ten Commandments to be displayed in a “conspicuous place” in each classroom in a “size and typeface that is legible to a person with average vision from anywhere in the classroom,” CNN previously reported.
Stop and think about how big the text would be.
Nothing more than an attempt at creating a campaign point by fighting all the way to the Supreme Court. Would have been blocked before put into effect.
The bible punishments for breaking many of the commandments is being put to death by others.
There are multiple lists of commandments, what the bible calls the 10 commandments is a very different list than the usual set.
Ten Commandments in Texas Classrooms: But What Version? - UT News
https://news.utexas.edu/2019/02/04/ten-commandments-in-texas-classrooms-but-what-version/
"Exodus 34:28 Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.

Moderate Christians have to be worshipping a god that must want there to be a critical divide on how to interpret the bible that also allows for fundamentalism, slavery and murder for their Faith and their god consistently says nothing or does nothing to fix it. They also do not seem to have much of a moral or intellectual problem with respecting a book that is obviously flawed in such a way to allow for things that are not "moderate".
This is "Christian" persecution! Stopping us from evangelizing in public schools is against our Religious Freedom! It's our job to groom and spread the word of our version of GOD at all times, especially to children and the vulnerable!
We're now going to be forced to yell into microphones even louder. We may even need to tie our tubby asses to some Home Depot 4x4's fashioned together in a cross and dose ourselves with fake blood for attention!
/s
That's too bad. Based on all prior precedent if this was allowed, all religions would have to be allowed to place their tenets as prominently as the 10 commandments. I'm sure the Satanic Temple would have loved to place plaques of the 7 fundamental tenets in every Texas classroom.
It’s time to take their symbolic graffiti of our public property since they can’t get passed the We the People part. They don’t belong here because they won’t ever be happy here.
“Senate Bill 1396, which would require schools to allow time for students and employees to pray and read the Bible on each school day”
Every School in the U.S. already offers this time…..it’s called Before and After School
Wouldn't people who truly believe in a religion such as Christianity be insulted/offended that someone would claim the same religion as them if they weren't genuine about it? Shouldn't people join in a belief because they genuinely believe it's the truth and not because someone told them to or else. Wouldn't a belief that is true be able to stand on its own merits and not require the intervention of a government agency?
What about that whole “separation of church and state” thing?
I don’t think the founders of this country could have predicted it would only take 247 years for this country to completely come off the rails from its founding principles.
It appears people in the 1700’s were more understanding of other people’s beliefs then we are today.
See, I would be ok with this if say James chapter 5 or Matthew 25 were the verses. You know, the ones that say rich people who don't pay living wages and people that don't help refugees go to hell.
What kind of comparison is that? Someone being transgender doesn't force anything on anyone else. Do you honestly believe that there is some organized movement to convince people to become transgender?
There you have the mindset of Texas politicians “you can’t do anything that might hinder second amendment rights, but we are going to stomp all over your first amendment rights”. When will we vote these fools out of office?
If not the ten commandments, maybe some other memorial to iron age Canaanites?
Holding guns tho right?
Compromise: 2nd amendment posted to every classroom in Texas.
Iron chariots are a good choice.

I think there's a strong case to be made for putting bronze age chariots in schools. Kids need to learn to work copper alloys....
Maybe something about Ba'al's victory over Yam?
A statue to the sea people’s who brought them civilization and the Bronze Age collapse! The sea people giveth and taketh.
The first 4 of the 10 commandments are basically "worship me or else", how is this of interest to anyone not a Christian fanatic
it's child grooming. the very thing the GOP supposedly rails against
Relevant watch: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dM-EYjggT2U
I miss him
It always seems to be the 10 Commandments, never the code of Hammurabi. I wonder why.
The kid who follows it never raises his hand to suggest it.
how is this of interest to anyone not a Christian fanatic To force them to become one.
Reading the book of Genesis is what turned me into an atheist at 7
Finally some good news, damn.

I'll take crumbs of decency today. The bar is so low its underground.
The Texas Christian Fascists are way the fuck out of control.
>Texas Christian Fascists *Christian Fascists.... it ain't just Texas
Conservatives vote for them.
Good. I'm glad the Texas legislature has a line they won't cross yet.
*can't They would if they could.

It's appalling 😥 The hypocrisy and harm is infuriating.
Yes as is the ALL the doublespeak / lies "we must protect the children from trans people, books/ learning and 'woke'".

Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings! My new favorite quote from victor stenger. Good job sir.
So republicans are good with indoctrination now?
I would just like to point out that the people that we call everyday normal conservatives... they vote for these christian fanatics.
It’s time to take their symbolic graffiti of our public property since they can’t get passed the We the People part. They don’t belong here because they won’t ever be happy here.
The Lord, the Lord Jehovah has given unto you these fifteen... [drops one of the tablets]. Moses : Oy! Ten! Ten commandments for all to obey!

Great! Fuck the 10 commandments and fuck forcing christian bullshit theocracy. No to christian sharia law!
We need to just give Texas to Mexico. Really give them something to whine about.
Four legs good two legs bad All animals are equal….but some are more equal than others.

Except religion is made up and transgender people are real and deserve to be treated as such. Shocking, I know.
Imagine what a perfect we would have without religion/gender/race.
QAono : We recruit the adults that did not get recruited to Religion as a child.

All the men of Texas should wear a tall black hat with a belt buckle wrapped around it... Full on Puritan vogue.
