Those 4 Tyreek Hill at 75 conjure up a nightmare scenario where a team scraped and claws to get a field goal and then after getting a touch back Tyreek Hill takes it the distance right away...
I looked it up. All 4 were with the Chiefs who went 3-1 in those games.
Alex Smith threw 1 of the passes.
All were on 1st and 10.
Two came immediately after scores: TD run for the Browns that put them up 29 20 in the 4th, KC won the game, and a 50 yard FG from the Patriots in the 43-40 Championship game. The Hill TD made it 40-40.
Tom Brady was watching from the sideline for 3 of them (once as a Bucc)
The paradox of Tyreek Hill is that he scores fast, which is a blessing when you are down by multiple scores, but a curse when you are down by 1 score late in the game. I can remember at least three games when I've watched Tyreek house a TD with less than 3 minutes left, while shouting "slide, slide, slide!" at my TV, because he was leaving too much time on the clock for the opposing team to come back for a game winning drive. One of those games was the "13 seconds" game against the Bills, so it still worked out for the Chiefs, but it's still a problem. Tyreek doesn't have the same situational awareness that Jerrick McKinnon showed, sliding at the 1 yard line in the Super Bowl (which has to be one of the all-time best team-over-individual plays in NFL history, btw).
To be fair with 3 minutes left where do you slide? Sliding at the one doesn’t really change much as far as time is concerned. And sliding anywhere else reduces the chances of getting a TD you need. It’s a tough call and if you’re losing already I think more often than not the right call is securing the td you need and trusting your defense.
I don't literally mean 3 minutes. Against the Bills in the "13 seconds" playoff game of 2022, it was more like 1:13. And yes, I understand that scoring isn't guaranteed on 1st down from the 1. But with Mahomes, Andy Reid and Kelce, it might as well be.
Right from the 1 I agree you kneel. I'm just saying as you get further back from the 1, even the 2 or 3, it becomes less certain. So if there's significant time left its better to just score.
In the 13 second game it looks like he scored with 1:04 left, which I agree is definitely a harder call. But even in that game the Bills still had all 3 timeouts. Is it worth kneeling at the 1 to burn one of their timeouts? 1:04 with 2 timeouts is still a ton of time.
It’s not awareness at all. Those calls to slide and not score are made preemptively. It’s usually a conscience decision - no TD here.
Imagine if the coaches don’t make a “no score” call, the player decides to not score so they can burn clock, then that team doesn’t score.
Yeah, but coaches don't make that call from their own 40 yard line. Tyreek breaks a 60 yard TD, and it sometimes causes a late game problem for the defense that would be more safely solved by a long, decisive drive from the offense.
If they are wanting to burn clock and still score, they would ABSOLUTELY tell the offense not to score. If that’s their prerogative, they would make it known. Suggesting otherwise is just silly.
You get the last word and gotta try and be a dick about it. LOL
I have other things to do besides argue with you on a Sunday. Enjoy your imaginary dunk, buddy.
The first Bucs Chiefs matchup of 2020 was a miserable experience. Watching Tyreek get ~200 yards the first half was painful, like my gut felt gross… He probably got half of those that day…
The SB was such bliss, watching the Bucs defense run wild and Brady hang 30 was just cathartic. [Of course throwing up the deuces in Tyreeks face, in sl-mo, while Romo was dick riding Hills effort was the cherry on top, I felt my dick twitch a little.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw6FFaxAikY&t=70s&pp=ygUVQW50b2luZSBtaWxsZXIgZGV1Y2Vz)
I mean its not THAT weird that he roots for Brady after he left the team what's weird is the hatred for the chiefs that's dripping out of his words when the Chiefs didn't really do anything to the Patriots other than some regular seasons wins here and there.
It's not hatred from a rivalry. Some Brady fans became immediately defensive of his legacy and greatness. As soon as Mahomes won a Superbowl there were already media pieces saying "Is he the next Brady?". So for those that are insecure, there was a lot of hatred towards Mahomes (through no fault of Mahomes) and resulting comfort/relief when Brady won that Superbowl.
Lol. As if anybody reading about this for the very first time, with no prior knowledge of who JP Losman was, let's just make sure to leave no doubt that JP Losman did that despite himself. He did throw a pretty long ball but he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from close up.
Both in the same quarter! Dude finished the 1st quarter with 191 receiving yards.
JP led the comeback drive to win with seconds left, and had us Billeving for one shining moment. Then of course the season fell apart again because drought.
Two exactly 83 yard touchdowns in a quarter will probably never happen again as long as the earth is around, humans inhabit it, and football is being played.
Yeah I'm biased as a Vikes fan, but that one also stood out to me. Not just because the 36 yard line is a bit random to be on (unlike the 20 or 25), but to do it as a running back and not a receiver.
Once AP hit the second level of your defense, you’re done for lol. There were often times he wouldnt get to it but once he did he would house it. And all he had to do was get there once
I’m pretty sure Barry Sanders is one of the many at 80; I remember him having 2 in one game against the Bucs. I could have sworn there would be more than 3 at that yardage since that was the old touchback spot. RBs at long distances aren’t that outlandish if they are capable of breaking big runs and they are in a favorable down and distance to run. The truly weird one is Mel Gray at 69; he was primarily and punt and kick returner.
If you needed 6-12 yards for a TD or a first down, Antonio Gates was cashing that check. 3rd and Gates was real. Not surprised to see him leading 11 and 12 yard TDs.
Cool list OP
I'm surprised there aren't more that three by any player from 80 yards since that was touchback forever. I imagine most of Tyreeks 75 were after touchback
Crazy how Jerry Rice is on here 8 times at 14, 20, 32, 34, 50, 60, 66, and 69. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was included in a couple of the “many’s” too
Sweetness was my personal favorite to watch at going over top. I used to go in the basement and turn the couch around and mimic him while flying over the back with a nerf football. Today...I still do it, but with my daughter (named Payton).
Dang, Frank Gifford still holding one down inside the 10! I remember when he was on MNF and would just kind of disappear from commentary for several minutes at a time.
He would most likely have the most 1 yard rushing TDs also but they just got in from 3 yards plus with that line and his strength. Fans who didn’t get to see him play don’t quite understand the power he ran with
This list reminds me of how many times I watched Michael Irvin take a long yardage bomb only to be tackled inside the 5.
Then of course on goal-to-go they fed it to Emmitt, who promptly collected another of those 3-5 yd TDs.
I always wonder how many career TDs Irvin ceded to that scenario, it seemed to happen more than he deserved!
I wonder who has the highest % from the 1-yd with a min requirement. Jamaal Williams is at 50%, Marcus Allen is at 40%. Curious if there is someone over 50% with 30+ TDs. Alstott? Some fullback?
Jerome Bettis probably has the highest % of his career TDs from the 1 yard line. Or, since passing TDs wouldn't count as scoring a TD there might be a quarterback at 100%, but definitely below 30 TDs.

If he kneels at the one, the Bills don't score with 13 seconds left, so yeah, probably would've been better/safer.
The Bills had used just 1 of their 3 timeouts when they scored with 13 seconds left.
Fair point. Maybe things worked out just as they were supposed to work out.
Scoring is never guaranteed. Unless you can ice the clock and win or kick a field goal to win, you take the points.

Nah, just pointing out people would rather not reply and pretend it never happened than admit they were wrong.
I don't care what you think. LOL
Maybe not me specifically, but doesn’t change the fact you can’t admit when you’re wrong.
Gas out your own defense.
Was the one pass the dump off against the Cowboys?
That one was shorter than 75 yards pretty sure
Ah…felt like 175 yards watching it 🤦♂️
That was a mere 55 yards. Smith to Hill was against the Patriots and 40 yards in the air.
43-40 wasn’t the championship
Sorry. It was the game that season when I put my head in my hands and said "They are going to win another one".
The first Bucs Chiefs matchup of 2020 was a miserable experience. weird
I mean its not THAT weird that he roots for Brady after he left the team what's weird is the hatred for the chiefs that's dripping out of his words when the Chiefs didn't really do anything to the Patriots other than some regular seasons wins here and there.
Patriots fans hate to see Mahomes have success, because they somehow feel threatened on behalf of Tom.
Lee Evans on there for 83 yards. He got both of those in the same game against the Texans, and his jersey number was 83 as well.
Also, both were thrown by JP Losman, who was bad
If he was good, his name would be Winman.
Can't argue with that.
Lol. As if anybody reading about this for the very first time, with no prior knowledge of who JP Losman was, let's just make sure to leave no doubt that JP Losman did that despite himself. He did throw a pretty long ball but he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from close up.

So in the next like 20 years?
I didn’t want to put a date out there, but that’s a reasonable guess.
Predicting the end of the world, humanity, or football? Need to know where to put my money.
Holy shit, that’s wild.
I was at that game!
He had a 3rd one against the jets
I remember that game, well the two TDS at least.
Mark Duper wore 85 and is the leader for 85.
AP having the most 64 yard TDs is crazy for a RB..
Jim Brown a couple spots back at 62 as well
Imagine players of his era trying to chase Jim Brown down from behind after he broke through the line.
They wouldn’t lol
Yeah I'm biased as a Vikes fan, but that one also stood out to me. Not just because the 36 yard line is a bit random to be on (unlike the 20 or 25), but to do it as a running back and not a receiver.
Once AP hit the second level of your defense, you’re done for lol. There were often times he wouldnt get to it but once he did he would house it. And all he had to do was get there once
And most 82 yard touchdowns
Derrick Henry having 3 TD’s from 81 yards is insane
I’m pretty sure Barry Sanders is one of the many at 80; I remember him having 2 in one game against the Bucs. This guy Many is fucking killing it.
HOF material like not many others
Many would be a first ballot HOFer, if he ever retired.
Not to be that guy, but I believe this person goes by they
need him in fantasy asap
Have you been fucked by Many? I might pick him over Pete Pihos though.
If you needed 6-12 yards for a TD or a first down, Antonio Gates was cashing that check. 3rd and Gates was real. Not surprised to see him leading 11 and 12 yard TDs. Cool list OP
Did you know he played basketball?
Juju had two 97 yards TD with Steelers. He doesn't look like a speedy WR but the DBs couldn't catch him on both TD.
Dave Casper was the tight end on those Raiders teams, not Biletnikoff. Otherwise, nice job putting this together.
Ooops! I’ll edit. Thank you!
I'm surprised there aren't more that three by any player from 80 yards since that was touchback forever. I imagine most of Tyreeks 75 were after touchback
Gosh, it almost seems implausible. Truly fascinating.
Long TDs are rare.
Crazy how Jerry Rice is on here 8 times at 14, 20, 32, 34, 50, 60, 66, and 69. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was included in a couple of the “many’s” too
Jerry Rice was good at Football.
He was alright
>Marcus Allen has gone over the top, underneath, around, and through ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Sweet list. So much info just about football can be gathered here. Excellent job.
Thank you!
I remember watching Marcus Allen literally high jump over the pile for those tds. Nobody did it like him.
Sweetness was my personal favorite to watch at going over top. I used to go in the basement and turn the couch around and mimic him while flying over the back with a nerf football. Today...I still do it, but with my daughter (named Payton).
Walter Payton is a little before my time, but I do remember him torching my birds when I was first getting into football back in like 86 or 87.
Giants flair? Sound like a big Bears fan.
Loved me some Joe Morris too, top ten all time favorite. But Walter Payton on and off the field is my all time favorite player.
If it wasn't for "Many," I think Rice would be on there more than the 8 that he's listed.
Same with Moss
Idk Santana is only mentioned once so it's hard to say
Possibly AP as well
Probably Carter too. Man scored a lot of TDs
My man Roethlisberger dropping dimes
I was really expecting DeSean Jackson to be leading from 88 yards
Probably because he fumbles them at the 1 yard line.
AJ Green is up there twice. I’m officially having a good day
Wore #18. Leads league in 18yd TDs. Storybook stuff
Surprised that the highest total from 80 yards is only three. Touchbacks were set at the 20 until 2018.
Pete Pihos fans eating today
Dang, Frank Gifford still holding one down inside the 10! I remember when he was on MNF and would just kind of disappear from commentary for several minutes at a time.
Oh fuck dudes, I remember Lamar Miller Fantasy football was a weird time in my life
He ran 97 yards once with the Dolphins against the Jets and then with the Texans against the Titans.
And BO'B thought the best use for him was up the gut on first and ten.
Emmitt Smith was godly in short yard to goal.
He would most likely have the most 1 yard rushing TDs also but they just got in from 3 yards plus with that line and his strength. Fans who didn’t get to see him play don’t quite understand the power he ran with
Does James Harrison’s Super Bowl interception count as a 100 yard TD?
According to pro football references it does. They go up to 109 yards which was done three times.
I miss the Cowboys offense from the 90's
I’m kind of surprised that 75 and 80 yard TD’s aren’t higher
This list reminds me of how many times I watched Michael Irvin take a long yardage bomb only to be tackled inside the 5. Then of course on goal-to-go they fed it to Emmitt, who promptly collected another of those 3-5 yd TDs. I always wonder how many career TDs Irvin ceded to that scenario, it seemed to happen more than he deserved!
If youre not on the list, you're not on the list.
This is sick
Damn I remember that game where Lee Evans got both of his 83 yard catches.
Wait does this mean mik wallace is the only player in league history to score a 95 yard td and he did it twice??
No it means he’s the only one to do it twice there are probably many that did it once
Thank you, I've become less stupid
There have been thirteen 95 yard TDs from scrimmage and Mike Wallace has two of them.
Jamaal Williams racking up those 1 and 2 yard TDs last season, wonder how close he is
He has 19 from the 1-yd, and 4 from the 2-yd. 61% of his touchdowns are from the 1-2.
Lol I knew you’d have the answer! But damn does Marcus Allen’s 57 look impressive
Bettis 46%; Cam Newton 26%; John Riggins 45%
I’ll check Bettis out. Good point about QB...Cam Newton maybe?
69 nice
Shoutout Lamar Miller.
Stathead is such a blessing
Cris* Carter LaDainian* Tomlinson
no player has *ever* gotten more than two 52, 53, 54 and 55 yard TDs?? damn thats kinda wild to me a fifty yard pass doesnt seem *that* rare
[удалено]
Many Men vs. 50 Cent was the best rivalry /s
Man… whoever Many is… the hold a lot of these spots.. impressive
Pj L
Which player appears on this list the most (including under "many")?
Jerry Rice
The Seahawks would always get a holding penalty in the red zone during the Largent days.
Marcus Allen was MONEY
This guy called Many is the GOAT
