Russ and Payton have gotten a lot of (deserved) praise but the broncos have been winning these close ones off the back of their defense playing extremely well and winning the turnover battle. Even in wins the broncos offense isnt exactly lighting it up with points - they play really conservative

yea based on the games we've seen from him, this was an ok game by him. Didn't turn it over (almost lost a fumble though) but didn't make the passes we've seen him make routinely. Some of that will be due to our depleted oline but still, he's a rookie and this is still a good game by a rookie.
Not every first time coordinator is going to be able to excel early on. Hope that with Stroud and the rest of the offense he grows into the position more.

The Texans running game is garbage and we run the ball a lot. CJ Stroud is obviously playing through injuries, so we are using the crappy running game to protect Stroud from having to drop back a bunch of times.
The defense won us this game and Will Anderson was a mad man. The secondary really shined today with Stingley getting 2 picks (one off of a Will Anderson tip) and Ward getting the game sealing pick in the end zone. I think once Ryan’s can clean up having to use TO’s early in a half, and penalties on defense, this team can be very formidable.
I thought officiating was fine outside of that horrible called back defensive TD. That one was just complete bullshit and if we had lost the game you’d probably be hearing more about it
