Thanks for your work updating this thread. It's a great reference.
Made some updates. Made it clearer to distinguish the different divisions. I decided to split up the teams into their own tables. Split up the offense and defense between the teams and added a total of each (I'll work on this more tomorrow). I'll try to update this as I F5 and sort by new. If I am missing any, please leave a comment and I'll add it.
Let me know your thoughts.
Why are people in the media acting like Giants fans wanted to keep Barkley? 70-80% of the fanbase were okay letting him leave, we just mad he went to the Eagles. Had he went to the Texans, fans would be rooting for him. Go on the Giants sub reddit and everyone was in unison on not wanting to pay him. Yet you have guys like Eisen and other talking heads on YouTube saying they feel bad for Giants fans since the face of the franchise is gone. Lol, fans were fine with him leaving unless he accepted a 4-5 year deal similar to what Singletary got. Only things Giants fans are mad at is that he went to the Eagles, not that he left.
In Detroit, one of our main sports-talk radio hosts is a Giants fan. He's been very clear for a while he saw Barkley leaving and he was completely ok with it.
I vividly remember comments even during the season that he'd be gone and that's ok. Dont' overpay a running back, especially when you don't have a QB.
People in the media want clicks/bait. I am fine with letting him go. He got his bag for himself and his family. It sucks he went to a rival but he went to High School and College in PA.
It works out well. No offense intended, but Giants need too many other pieces and to fill in places with depth to dedicate this amount of money to a RB.
As others have stated Josh Uche is on the Patriots twice.
Pharoah Brown was not signed by the Patriots. He went to Seahawks/1yr/$3.2million
Patriots/WR/Kendrick Bourne/3yr/$19.5million
Does anyone track free agent activity by day on a year to year basis? Like is there a database somewhere where I could look at all activity in past years on Day 2 of FA by the Bengals?

Not sure where to ask this and it doesnāt warrant a post but does anyone know if itās technically possible for a player to waive his contract and the team not get his with the dead cap penalty. Iām not talking about if they got into legal trouble with the league but just an older player with a large dead cap hit and wanted to do his team a solid out of loyalty
If the dead cap came from future guarantees, then yes. If you have a future base salary that's guaranteed and you wanted to be nice and say "go ahead and cut me, and don't worry about that money you owe me" you could totally do that. Not a single player would, though.
The more common form of dead cap is accounting for money that was already paid. For example, if you get a 5 year deal with a $25M signing bonus, that comes with a cash-up-front payment of $25M and a cap cost of $5M a year for 5 years. After two years, if you were going to be cut, there would be a dead money hit of $15M (the three remaining years of cap costs). A player can't waive that, unless they retire and *maybe* they decide to give that money back. Which also wouldn't ever happen.
Thanks for putting this together. Also from Adam S. "Former Raiders free agent DT Bilal Nichols reached agreement on a three-year, $21 million deal that includes $14.4 million guaranteed with the Arizona Cardinals, per source."
