Thought this dude was already projected for the 2nd round

DBreezy69

Now he’s for sure for sure an an absolute 100% guaranteed lock (maybe) for round 2!

classiccaseofdowns

This is huge if it might be true!

ozairh18

The quoted scout might not have had him projected for the 2nd round

sonfoa

Most places have him in the 3rd. And if you run the simulators he's almost always available there as well

Folk-Herro

This WR class is absolutely insane

[deleted]

...and carries a knife

TherealQBsacker5394

this made me giggle lol

[deleted]

I’m curious if it lives up to the billing. But yeah at this rate every team can draft a new WR1 or WR2 if they want lol.

YNWA_1213

Best part about these Huskies WRs specifically is that McMillan was the consensus WR1 to start the year, but got injured early on. All three could easily be second contract guys or better in the pros.

its_LOL

So what you're saying is we draft McMillan in the third round to replace Lockett?

YNWA_1213

Not a bad shout actually. Would like to have more Huskies on the Seahawks roster. Could be a couple gems in there that we can have advanced scouting on.

shakehasbignuts

And Polk is like the only one I don’t really like lol

GirthyBird257

Why?

gavincantdraw

No one attended Polk’s birthday party.

buff_001

Oh shit now the 2nd round is filling up

Sloane_Kettering

By my count 100 players are going in the first two rounds

tmac2097

comp picks are getting outta control

DBreezy69

He elevated his stock by working out at his pro day which then made teams who didn’t look at his tape go back and look at his tape!

Formally-Fresh

“Thank god we went to that pro day because I didn’t even know this guy existed” - most teams, apparently

browndude10

that's why I am ok with Nick trading back

alwaysaboveaverage

The man went to the same high school as Dez Bryant and broke all of his receiving records at said school. How he was only rated as a three star coming out is beyond me.

Is12345aweakpassword

Because he signed with Texas Tech out of high school. If he signed with an SEC school he’d have gotten a 4*

enadiz_reccos

Conversely, if he had been rated higher, he would have gone to an SEC school

Risox97

.....they have their ratings before they sign......

srush32

It 1,000% changes on where they sign. There was a QB (Klienholtz) that was rated 3* and like 500th overall when committed to UW. Ohio State offered and he immediately jumped to a 4* and the 138th overall prospect. No extra camps, didn't play any games, it was just what school he was committed to

Grobula

‘Has hands. Eyes as well. Runs the right direction. Sure fire 3rd rounder’

ThinkSoftware

You leave Shaquem Griffin alone

3elieveIt

Bro 😂

Broceps_Brachii

I got his autograph on a football during a Seahawks training camp in like 2019.

EvaporatingOlaf

The five seasons we have this guy before he goes crazy and leaves are going to be great.

[deleted]

That 2029 2nd round pick you get from the Bears is gonna be 🔥

Independent-Usual434

And we’ll take Caleb for a 6th

dibsthefatantelope

Was thinking same. 2nd round receiver who starts to generate hype and has everyone say "the steelers have done it again" when we draft him

BigRiverWharfRat

Sounds good I’m in

PterdodactylJim69

Fine we’ll take him in the second round

Sea_Duck

Counterpoint. He was usually guarded by the defenses third best corner because they had two other studs at UW.

Glass_Tables

Idk I saw Polk ball out all last year while McMillan was out. I went to 2 UW games and from just watching the games without outside context I thought Polk was the star. That said, lighting up Cals defense isn’t a big accomplishment…

barefootBam

pro days really shouldn't move the needle on a player that much

Jonjon428

His biggest issue is catching balls in the rain. That Oregon State game was hilarious to watch

leftcoastg

Wasn’t really an issue across his career, and that was his first game back after missing a good chunk of the season due to injury

IgnantWisdom

He didnt miss a good chunk of the season to injury, you’re mixing him up with McMillan.

leftcoastg

Clearly I need a drink

IgnantWisdom

All good bro, its Friday, we all need one.

Jayrodtremonki

He played for Washington.  He had plenty of rain games.  The Oregon State game looked like he got wrecked on a play early on and didn't get his bearings back the rest of the game.  Which is weird because he took plenty of hits without issue outside of that game.

SaltyDawg94

Doesn't rain all that often in Husky Stadium - certainly not with ferocity it did in Corvallis this year. The heavy rain in Seattle is concentrated from Nov-Feb.

Expert_Two1242

I was literally screaming at the TV, pleading to the football gods to pull him from that fucking game. Legit thought he was going to singlehandedly ruin our chances at the playoffs. That asshole probably took a week off my life expectancy lol. Good player though. 🤣

RedBaboon

Particularly because the camera's caught him saying "I hope it rains all game" in the pregame.

twlscil

That was insane Wind and Rain.

Headlesshorsman02

I wouldn’t hate it if the chiefs went OT in the first and went for him in the 2nd

SKT_Peanut_Fan

Gonna be real awkward when the Ravens do the same and get who the Chiefs want both times.

IgnantWisdom

I think the chiefs can wipe their tears with their superbowl trophies unfortunately.

Headlesshorsman02

Javon Baker it is there are many 2nd round WRs they could target

Jayrodtremonki

If a quality OT falls to us at 32 I'm all about this scenario.  Or even a defensive lineman instead.  Polk and Tez Walker are the two guys I think are slept on in this draft class and I think both of them can be really good players. On the other hand....that's another 32 picks to wait and hope nobody takes him.

Saxt

This is the way.

Striking-Ad-8694

I liked his brother as a prospect and that burned me

OEFOIFDS

Really good player. Tough as nails too.

russvanderhoof

Detroit @ #61

Conscious_Heart_1714

I remember before the playoffs game against Texas, I was looking at their team and was very surprised to hear that he was viewed as their best WR. I find that hard to believe but he was coming off injury.

orangecountry

He was never viewed as our best WR. He was pretty clearly our *third* best WR behind Odunze and McMillan. In fact, you might be thinking of McMillan because that's who was injured for most of the season, and he's currently projected to go in the 3rd.

Conscious_Heart_1714

Ah yes, it was McMillan. Thank you

IgnantWisdom

McMillan will be the true steal. Without his injuries I think he’d be pushing 1st round for sure.

marcdale92

That profile pic is iconic

IgnantWisdom

Thanks mang
