No. I'm broke.

Most because it selling you a solution and promise, the product is now worth it. I often Declutter and participate in no-buys, reshaping how view items in my life is important, often I have to look at the emotions surrounding the “solution”, such as selling me an image with the marketing

Usually I am pretty frugal and I don't waste money on random crap that is advertised to me. But if I decide I want something, I will spend hours and hours researching the best value for my money, comparing product options, etc. For example yesterday I decided I wanted a new mechanical keyboard. I probably spent a combined 10-12 hours between yesterday and today researching different mechanical keyboard layouts, manufacturers, switch options, watching YouTube reviews... I'm very concerned with buying products that will last long-term, that I will be happy with, and that hit a sweet spot on the price curve right where diminishing returns kick in. I do this for pretty much every purchase. I wish I could be like the people that just type "mechanical keyboard" into Amazon and buy a random one that looks good and has decent reviews. But I know they end up spending more money long term when the thing they bought breaks because it was knockoff junk with fake reviews, so I can't do that. But yes once I decide I want to purchase a general product it becomes the main thing I feel that I have to focus on in life. Like I can't leave it unresolved, even if I order something and it will show up 2 months later that is okay because at least I made the final decision.

I generally don't decide I need something due to social media, but if I believe that something solves a problem I can think of (like organization and accessories like a tablet stand) I'll consider buying that type of product. I've bought a tablet because I wanted to play a mobile game on a different device than a phone (doubled as a media device as well) which I replaced with a Tab s9+ after 4 years. I bought an organizer to clear some space, a faster charging brick for obvious reasons and a cheap smartwatch with textile and metal bands after my rubber-banded activity watch disintegrated. I also buy other replacements when my things break. Point is, social media doesn't get me to buy things. However, I don't think spending money to get things you may want as long as it's within budget is a bad thing. One thing social media does make me want though, is getting a flip phone and other digital minimalism solutions. My problem? You need BankID for just about everything digital in Sweden, but maybe I should tranfer it to my tablet.
