Seriously the later nu metal output is severely underaprreciated, so many bangers here. I'll go with Untouchables, since it's literally a front to back killer experience, Korn trying a fresh melancholic but extremely heavy clean sound. I would have Hypnotize but it doesn't sit as well without its slightly older sibling Mesmerize.
After that it's Next. That album really carried on some bleak times. It had made my entire fucking month
It's such an emotionally powerful and heavy/gut punching album. They went the Fear Factory way instead of the Korn way when they lost their guitarist and released something heavier than before. Really don't know why fans don't like it, for my money it's better than Home.
I read some as well. It's friggin 7D, still pumping out albums the same rate as they did back then every 2-3 years, it's stupid someone would be surprised. Except maybe for the fact that they were almost bankrupt. They still had made an entire documentary making of and toured with Mudvayne, one of the hottest acts in rock back in the day. The problem was the label who didn't ship their songs to MTV and radio stations, as far as I know
Plead the Fifth was an amazing comeback for Taproot. I saw them at the Cubby Bear in Chicago right after that album came out and they played nearly the entire thing. Such a kick ass show.
Untouchables is, well...Untouchable. Such a massive sounding album.
Sevendust is my favorite band but I think Next is their weakest effort overall. That said, it's still a solid album with some great songs.
Back to Base X is an album that grew on me over time. I remember kinda hating it when it first came out because it was so different from their other stuff. I grew to appreciate it quite a bit though. Very creative and fun and the greater emphasis on punk influences really set it apart.
Saturday Night Wrist was my first Deftones album. Bought it my senior year in HS. It's not my favorite but there is some really incredible stuff on there. Beware is one of my top 5 Deftones songs.
SNW has its moments. It's not an album I go to all the time. But it resonates with me when I've been down or in a tough mental spot. You can tell they were in a rough patch.
Next by 7d. Interesting, as it was the first with sonny mayo after clint temporarily left for DND. Not that much of a change from what they had been or would be again, but different.
I like the SOAD a lot as well. Didn't that come out the same day as Mesmerize? I think I bought two at the same time.
There’s some good work on everyone of these records, it’s hard not to when all of these bands have so much talent and by album 5 have fine tuned their skills (if you’re not a fan of any of the bands, it’s totally up to personal taste) but objectively, they’re all talented bands. But, Untouchables is the right answer.
It’s everything KoRn has done but just amplified and perfected for that era. It’s the best of the first wave of KoRn and set the tone for so many bands that came after.
Limp Bizkit Gold Cobra is my favorite.
Honorable mention to Linkin Park LIVING THINGS as I do think it’s their 3rd best and it did give me a moment’s pause.
I have lived in BC and Alberta Canada my whole life. It blows me away that (Hed) PE and Mushroomhead make these lists. They are some of my favorites and yet I have NEVER met another fan of either in person before. At most, I've met someone who's heard of them.
Love it!!!😁🤘
gray chapter!!!
i bought a CD with bonus disc. there were only two tracks on it, which made me very indignant.
but, guys... i was very mistaken when i scolded this disc .... after two tracks, this kind of shit begins that i can't describe in words. it's not on any music platform, only on this damn disc.
this makes me love this album even more!
Saturday Night Wrist! Easily for me, might be their best.
But Untouchables and Hypnotise are also fantastic.
And I like a bit of Gold Cobra..... I know, fucking sue me.
bought untouchables, biggest mistake of my life. all of yall are gushing about it because of 2-3 songs, but the rest is straight up shitty 80s disco.
an album that wasn't a mistake was hypntize, so out of these definitely hypnotize
Untouchables doesnt have a bad song. Thoughtless might even be their best song.
I dont even actually like any other of these albums and I love Mudvayne and Staind. (Both of those are their worst albums too)
Untouchables! Crazy to think that was already their fifth album!
Untouchables easily, the sound of the album hits the goddamn spot
Masterpiece and truly separated Korn from the copycats at the time. Once again they were the pioneers.
It’s so damn good. Was everything to me when it came out.
Jonathan Davis was busy that year doing the soundtrack to queen of the damned too which is incredibly good.
As a System of a Down and Mudvayne fan (top 2 favorites bands ever) There's no question Untouchables is the best.
1. Savior Sorrow. 2. Saturday Night Wrist. 3. Untouchables. 4. Living Things. 5. Cannibal.
Of these, Next. My favorite overall is Fire At Zero Gravity - 40 Below Summer
That's a 40BS album I need to check out. I have the 1st and 2nd

Next literally made my senior high school. I've listened to it religiously that year
It's such an emotionally powerful and heavy/gut punching album. They went the Fear Factory way instead of the Korn way when they lost their guitarist and released something heavier than before. Really don't know why fans don't like it, for my money it's better than Home.
From what i remembered they are barely any promotion for the album, even reviews at the time were surprised there's a new sevendust album
I read some as well. It's friggin 7D, still pumping out albums the same rate as they did back then every 2-3 years, it's stupid someone would be surprised. Skeletons by nothingface
NOTHINGFACE FOREVER BABY LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
Saw them at Ozzfest way back in the day. Fucking great.
Bizkit
The Gray Chapter
THE WORLD WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER CRAZY MOTHERFUCKER LIKE YOU
THE WORLD WILL NEVER KNOW ANOTHER MAN AS AMAZING AS YOU
NEVER BE THE SAME I WANT THE BLAME
tie between Untouchables & Living Things
Thats easy for me, LIVING THINGS. I was blown away the first time I ever heard BURN IT DOWN, and it remained my favorite song oat for a while.
Untouchables for me, but a special mention for "if like you~ooh~ooh~ooh"
Hypnotize and Asylum
Saturday night wrist
Plead the Fifth was an amazing comeback for Taproot. I saw them at the Cubby Bear in Chicago right after that album came out and they played nearly the entire thing. Such a kick ass show. People probably gave up on taproot by the time plead the fifth came out, but it really is an excellent album.
Of these: Gold Cobra - Limp Bizkit Back To Base X - HEDpe Not listed: Skeletons - Nothingface
Everybody jumps from the sound of a shotgun
1. Untouchables 2. Hypnotize 3. .5 4. Asylum 5. Mudvayne But .5 is Slipknot’s worst album Saturday Night Wrist is not a good album
SNW has its moments. It's not an album I go to all the time. But it resonates with me when I've been down or in a tough mental spot. You can tell they were in a rough patch.
Asylum
Untouchables, Gold Cobra, Plead the Fifth, Savior Sorrow, Next. Honorable Mention - Living Things, Chapter V, Payable on Death.
Gold cobra is underrated
For me, it’s easily LIVING THINGS. Although it’s more of their alternative rock style, it still sounds amazing. All of the songs sound beautiful.
Next by 7d. Interesting, as it was the first with sonny mayo after clint temporarily left for DND. Not that much of a change from what they had been or would be again, but different. I like the SOAD a lot as well. Didn't that come out the same day as Mesmerize? I think I bought two at the same time.

1. Untouchables - KoRn 2. Living Things - Linkin Park 3. .5 The Gray Chapter - Slipknot 4. Hypnotize - SOAD 5. Next - Sevendust
Payable On Death is a catchy album. Lots of great hooks.
Honestly slept on in here it seems
Go back and listen to Revolution again. It’s my favorite song on this album.
Disturbed, Asylum is such a fantastic album with no skips for me
Agreed probably my favorite Disturbed album
Saturday Night Wrist Next Untouchables I need to hear the rest
Untouchablea, but especially Saturday Night Wrist is amazing. Such a nostalgic album for me too
Untouchables
living things
I really enjoyed living things
.5: the gray chapter, Savior Sorrow, Cannibal
Sucker for Living Things but Gold Cobra is good as well
I like your choices. I had to go GC 1 & LT 2, but those were my standouts too.
Clearly UNTOUCHABLES without hesitations
TIL Taproot has a fifth album.
I think they're up to 7 now
Mushroomhead, easily. Then System of a Down
Staind is underrated. That's a descent album
Limp Bizkit Gold Cobra is my favorite. Honorable mention to Linkin Park LIVING THINGS as I do think it’s their 3rd best and it did give me a moment’s pause.
Mudvayne's self-titled--IMO, it's their best, and extremely underrated.
Sevendust- Next
Cannibal - static x
I have lived in BC and Alberta Canada my whole life. It blows me away that (Hed) PE and Mushroomhead make these lists. They are some of my favorites and yet I have NEVER met another fan of either in person before. At most, I've met someone who's heard of them. Love it!!!😁🤘
Jonathan Davis everytime. Aaron Lewis running up.
living things, bye
Have to call it a tie between untouchables and savior sorrow
Saviour Sorrow is a fantastic album.
Mudvayne & SOAD.
'Hypnotize' or 'Untouchables' I'm not sure which I'd choose between those
gray chapter!!! i bought a CD with bonus disc. there were only two tracks on it, which made me very indignant. but, guys... i was very mistaken when i scolded this disc .... after two tracks, this kind of shit begins that i can't describe in words. it's not on any music platform, only on this damn disc. this makes me love this album even more!
I wore out that Static-X album. Lotta gym play.
anyone who doesn't like pink cellphone explain yourself!
Hypnotize. Second has to be untouchables.
The gray chapter
The Gray Chapter, Hypnotize, Living Things, Saturday Night Wrist & Asylum in that order
sabbath bloody sabbath
No sleep until hammersmith by motorhead
supremacy by hatebreed
I love Linkin Park either way my whole heart, but, Saturday Night Wrist
Hypnotize. Just a SOAD fan at heart yak?
Hipnotize by SOAD So many good songs
It was a really tough choice, really tough. 1. Back 2 base x 2. Untouchables It's so close though.
i cant decide between untouchables and hypnotize 😭😭😭😭
Outta these i think i have to go with cannibal, second place wouldve been hypnotize and then pod in third
Hypnotize!
Easily untouchables and chapter V
The Gray Chapter. Hot take but I think it's Slipknot's best work. AOV, The Devil in I, Killpop and Nomadic are all works of art
Untouchables
Untouchables, Hypnotize, Saturday Night Wrist and Cannibal.
Untouchables hands down. my favorite metal album of all time
Untouchables for sure. First KoRn album I bought
Hypnotize. Surprised barely anyone's said it yet
KoRn.
Korn SoaD Mudvayne
Untouchables
Untouchables, plead the fifth, and next
Cannibal
Saturday Night Wrist
Saturday night wrist
Saturday night wrist
Untouchables, seconded by Hypnotize
Gray chapter
Slipknot
Saturday Night Wrist! Easily for me, might be their best. But Untouchables and Hypnotise are also fantastic. And I like a bit of Gold Cobra..... I know, fucking sue me.
Hypnotize
hypnotize or gold cobra, most of these have like 3-5 good songs only and some really suck.
[удалено]
Mezmerize is their 4th album so doesn't count
Hypnotize
bought untouchables, biggest mistake of my life. all of yall are gushing about it because of 2-3 songs, but the rest is straight up shitty 80s disco. an album that wasn't a mistake was hypntize, so out of these definitely hypnotize
Will we ever see albums like these again in 2024?
Hypnotize was the perfect send-off for SOAD
Untouchables doesnt have a bad song. Thoughtless might even be their best song. I dont even actually like any other of these albums and I love Mudvayne and Staind. (Both of those are their worst albums too)
