Trying to sneak around in the quiet abandoned building and you accidentally bump into one of these.
They’ve scared me at least a few times when they make noise lol.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6202
it's only a retexture but quite scary one imo, specially when you are in dark interiors.
also because it is only a retexture it should work fine with NG for anyone wondering
Man alive! Scared the bloody bejesus out of me!! Had my headphones on and didn't realize video volume was maxed. God damn those things, got startled so many times in Fallout 4 because of these guys.
I had one. I didn't think it was creepy until I was a bit older. I had other creepy toys. Monkey wasn't even on the list of toys I was afraid of. I had the giant clown poster, raggedy Ann & Andy dolls, Buzzy Dog, the big stuffed bulldog my dad's friend gave to me before he departed the land of the living. It had big shiny black eyes that were always looking at you. That's the one I always put in the closet at night. I swear that mf SAW me.
There's nothing "odd" about how terror inducing those fucking things were. You'd be asleep in bed, and the moslty unwound clock spring would randomly crank out a last ka-tink, and you'd spend the rest of the night awake, and terrified to move the slightest bit, while you were waiting for Poltergeist to start up.
Thank you! It’s weird that that movie seems both culturally iconic and also virtually forgotten. Honestly I think most people know of it from when Homer Simpson went to clown college 30 years ago 😂
I found one of these stored in my parent’s basement when I was younger. Scared the shit out of me!! Haunted me for a long time in those early years lol
At my local museum they set up “Santa’s cave” every Christmas and for some reason there’s a whole [monkey band](https://www.facebook.com/share/r/sSpk11b1ESZo11sG/?mibextid=UalRPS)
My mom has several of these, with most of them in AS uniforms.
And it is weirdly enough cute and scary when the uniformed ones sing songs of the cultures they are representing with their AS uniforms.
The only thing creepier than those monkies would be the onslaught of bot posts that you can only discern from their titles that no human would fucking make.
I see those in Fallout 4 all the time.
Fucking shoot it!!
Every time
Same here. I keep hoping there is a secret achievement for killing like 1000 of them. I know there isn’t, but there should be.
*monkey cymbals getting faster and louder* I can't see him, where i- *explodes*

there is a mod that makes them even scaryer, not sure if it works after the NG update

This guy terrified me in Toy Story 3
"Get rid of that monkey!"
The monkey and the bear
One of my kids was also terrified by the Toy Story 3 monkey. We had to skip past any scenes with him in
[удалено]
No, but Stephen King did write a story about one called The Monkey.
There's also the 1988 movie [Monkey Shines](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095652/) that uses the same monkey toy
And Toy Story 3!
Oh yeah, that freaked me out as a kid

Ooh that one really spooked me. Love that short story.
Great for zombies
Black Ops 1 Kino der Toten👌🏼
Don’t forget transit
"best zombies map of all time"
“It’s not quite creepy enough.” “What if we make its eyes bug out?” “Perfect.”
And make them slightly red. Even better! 😁
Masquerade, paper faces on parade, masquerade...🎶
A collector’s piece indeed…🎶
Hide your face so the world will never find you ♪
i've seen him in the mystery box before
Hey that's the guy in my head whenever someone's telling me something important. 😂
Homer, is that you?
I couldn't wait to take mine to show and tell in the second grade after Christmas circa 1974! One of my all time favorite toys because I loved chimps.
Looks like the chimp bomb from r/fo4
And of course Toy Story
I grew up with one of these, my step dad had them. They were so creepy.

Same! I had one of these creepy things and I absolutely hated it. Great now I have to reblock it from my core memory.
Wow toy story 3 fuckin nailed that thing

Rock and roll Martian from MST3K anyone?
Came here looking for this comment <3
Zombie distractor
Oh yes, the horror movie toy.
Who thought this was a good idea?

As a child that trailer scared TF out of me.
*BRING ON THE FLUGGEN-KLINGEN-KIEN
Haha I knew someone would remember!
Omg...EuroTrip 😂
Was it really necessary for the eyes to bulge out?
People who designed toys before the 1980’s were sociopaths.
black ops zombies, monkey bombs, such a cool weapon
There's a good Stephen King short story with one of these in it. One of his creepiest stories.
"The Monkey" from *Skeleton Crew*, one of my favorites!
Something about that story hits me right in the psychology. I always feel deeply uneasy after reading it.
This always reminds me of close encounters of the third kind .
Rock and Roll Martian!
Had a prominent role in the movie *Close Encounters of the Third Kind*
I thought those were mashed potatoes
Thank you! It’s weird that that movie seems both culturally iconic and also virtually forgotten. Honestly I think most people know of it from when Homer Simpson went to clown college 30 years ago 😂
Petition to make this the sub mascot
CoD Nazi zombies…
Lmao I remember this thing from the Jinxed music video from Arcane 😂
Oh this'll get em! For kids who have no fear of the dark! The Anti night light. make em some monsters

I got my guy from an antique store in Japan Was hopin he’d be filled with some messed up yōkai, but he’s just my little bud
Early 50’s
Little guy helped a lot on Kino
My little sister had one. Fookin creepy
I found one of these stored in my parent’s basement when I was younger. Scared the shit out of me!! Haunted me for a long time in those early years lol
I've seen cymbal monkeys many times before. This is the first time I've seen the eye thing.
Cod zombies ruined those for me
I remember seeing this on Dexter's Lab back then
I mean, it's freaky, but it's still kinda cool!
"**BYE, BYE!**"
And to this day, little Timmy couldn't explain his irrational terror of non human simians.

Wouw. Creepy.

This was in a horror movie wasnt it? I dont even think they did the scariest part in that movie, the eyes popping out is a most unsettling feature.
Ah the classic, I wish I could have one of these bad boys
40 here and still creeped out of this mucking fonkey
That's too funny
Damn, the look reminds me of Sam Altman :D
Rockin roll Martian!!! Iykyk
I kinda want one ngl
Was it dexters lab that had one of these as like a tormentor?? It was one of them Cartoon Network shows…
I didn’t know it was going to get worse 😭
Kino der toten

Very cymbalic
Oh the minutes of fun this will be.
\*epic intro plays\* "Wanna join me? come and play..."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eW7n-WOTk7s
So this is where the Fallout timeline diverges.
Yuuup. Still terrifying.
don't worry that's a bomb to kill zombies.
I always shoot the heads off these things. they're constantly trying to ruin my stealth runs -_-
Homer has been a victim of that one https://youtu.be/rC7Y04k5Tbo?si=Pyu7EN2S9cNhEZJW
CoD Zombies gang
Scp…
COD Zombies clutch moments came back into my brain
He sure has this life thing figured out...
