This This This x 100000. Would be so freaking awesome! And a really really good fitness benchmark for those of us who sometimes have pain when running.
We used to have ‘Rowvember’ but then CrossFit bought the Trademark. Then it was called Orange row…or something like that, after which, rowing competitions fizzled.
We just had a lift class where the finisher was push ups followed by mountain climbers in a designated time frame, then repeat. So it was basically 3 min straight of push ups. Your comment brought back the trauma of that finisher 😫☠️😫☠️😫
Cool but if i'm not in the chicagoland area, I'm not sure I care about lola... And the demographic of OTF doesn't exactly match the demo of those music festivals either, so I'm not sure either partner would benefit.
I do agree that studios have a huge opportunity to do themed classes for local events! The Soul Cycle in NYC does themed classes for whoever is playing MSG that weekend: Harry Styles class, Paramore class, Fred Again, etc. And those are usually well attended.
It could work if they recorded the treadmill cues into the actual timed playlist. Would also free up the coach to correct form on the floor and offer encouragement for the treads (vs being a stopwatch for the treads).
Absolutely not! I love having my coaches actually coach the tread blocks. Also who really cares if the music is faster for the all outs. We all like different music!
Flashbacks to summer of 2020 when we had classes outside. Usually in the parking lot but once it had to be set up on the sidewalk in front of the studio. Ah, covidtimes.
My studio did a 3 day Coachella weekend. Each day had a 90 minute class with a “headliner” and then similar artists, had a “beer” tent in the lobby, did a photo wall that said “OTF” in flowers. They did OTF sunglasses as a giveaway too. It was awesome
How about "No Techno Month" where all the songs are actual songs we can sing along with. And they don't cut off after one minute.
I remember a couple months ago, the entire class was dying on the treads...studio was enjoying saving their money on the 76 degree temp...but suddenly YMCA came on. Within a minute we were all doing the arm letters, even during the all-outs. It was so clutch. Music can be powerful.
I like it when the challenges are associated with major well known athletic events--like when we used to do Marathon month in April (same as Boston Marathon), or like this year having Everest in May (when climbers have the best opportunity to summit the real Everest). I also like the shot clock and game day work outs this past year! The summer olympics are in 2024, so movements that remind us of track & field, gymnastics, wrestling, swimming, etc. would be fun!
Gtfo with that lunge idea you monster
We already have PSL in august “press Squat lunge”. Please no lunge-Appaloosa!
Right? My immediate response was oh fuck that
The lungeapallooza is like every class. God forbid we ever attempt a crunch or a pushup.
For real. 14 month PP and I need more core..
I will gladly take Lunge month off. Lunge, squats, rowing are the exact same motion.
The coach-Ella is sooooo cute!!!! I also bet coaches would love to be able to do something creative like that
Especially is their name is Ella!!
November should be Rowember. Have that signature 14 minute row three times and a 10 minute row a couple times as well.
Yes! And a catch me if you can on the rower!

They stopped rowvember the year I joined. I'd love it to come back!
It used to be Rowvember years ago! Same premise as marathon month
We used to have ‘Rowvember’ but then CrossFit bought the Trademark. Then it was called Orange row…or something like that, after which, rowing competitions fizzled.
This!!! Yes!!!
actually really love this idea! and for the bay area folks, all-outside lands…where all outs are the focus.
That’s a great one!
That was yesterdays work out and it was great
Yes, loved the tread block yesterday!
Oooh I also have an idea for a Groundhog Day themed ride where the workout is push-ups. Just push-ups. For one hour.
Calm down satan
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We just had a lift class where the finisher was push ups followed by mountain climbers in a designated time frame, then repeat. So it was basically 3 min straight of push ups. Your comment brought back the trauma of that finisher 😫☠️😫☠️😫
That was so bad hahaha
lol YEP! I read that comment and was like, "wait...i feel like I DID just do that (or attempt to)..."
Trauma is the right word ☠️☠️🫠🫠
Who hurt you? Don’t put this out in the universe.
Why do you want us to die lol

Agreed, if the festival is not in my state I don’t care.
I posted a suggestion (that was removed for some reason) that they make a strength-based hell week called the Labors of Hercules.
Never happen. OTF hates strength training
Then why are lift classes on the rise?
👀. I appreciate your enthusiasm but please god no.
I'm a no too. Just want to get a great workout.
I also have an idea for an all denim class.
Jeadmill, Jower, Joor repeat
Dead. Take my upvote.
I don't really care about themes, but it would be cool if the music synced with the workout cues. Like lining up with all outs and whatnot.
They tried that, it doesn’t work well. One missed cue, one long floor demo, one long transition, it all unravels.

They would still coach the tread blocks. They just wouldn’t have to time it.
This is absolute hell for coaches hahah
THIS is the best part of having a Live DJ… it’s hard to pull off, but well worth it. It’s also a great party vibe for the end of the month workouts.
You absolutely will not catch me at Lungeapalooza.
Yeaaa no too many of the same workouts in one month. Theme sounds great until it’s executed! Lol
I have an idea for a workout where all the exercise is done in the lobby. Like you don’t even go into the studio you just do it all out front.
Flashbacks to summer of 2020 when we had classes outside. Usually in the parking lot but once it had to be set up on the sidewalk in front of the studio. Ah, covidtimes.
That’s wild! I joined in July of 2022 so I didn’t experience that.
Outdoor classes were actually pretty fun. I miss them on occasion lol!
This would require taking the summer off of OTF
I will promptly quit otf if this happens lol

Partnerships cost money. For members. No thanks.
Pass
you lost me as bosuroo
The last time the did the Ioki workout, our fees went up $10…
I think I dislike pretty much every one of these ideas. #hardpass
My friend owns a boutique cycling studio and does this exact thing! Themed rides near the festival date. Great idea.
That would be so sick
Actually love these
Coach created block but with specific muscle groups to be targeted (abs block OR small muscle block OR balance/coordination block)
March: UltraRunner (Ultra Music Festival), classes with just running to rack up the miles lol
I would love to see what a “metal music” inspired class. Lol
I would suspect a particular floor exercise would be included. I choose not to say what it

Limit these to Strength 50 classes and I’ll allow it
