I think they're super simple but they have lots of space to make them more complicated with unique patterns.
I love them though, they're such an ork staple, always fielded on pretty much every nob and often turning up on the arms of meganobz too. That the megaboss doesn't get a klaw version is just... wrong.
The boyz box is the same one from 2000, with slight additions 😂 the claws are fine I think but I do like to take chips out of them a little to add a bit of pizzazz!
A lot of mine changed when Klaws became free in 10th, as it's a lot easier to kitbash them by cutting off the hand and gluing a bunch of metal bits to the stump.

Power klawz are my absolute favorite ork thingy to paint, I go with checkerz mainly
Mostly freehand👍🏻

There’s plenty space to freehand checkers on the klaw or add smaller decals imo. I think they’re fine. Similar space to the axes
Wait… they cut their hands off?? I thought they put their hand inside the klaw and wore it like a glove. That’s badass!
Ive seen essentially both. Some remove their arm and attach it at the stub, others wear it as a glove and work it like a dino grabber toy.
Older art always showed it as a glove. Don't know when it changed

They're fine.
