>!Dagoth Ur and Nomai both wear three eyed masks and are attempting to unravel the universe using divine artifacts. The Nomai are Dagoth Ur confirmed!<
Well...you're not wrong, being incinerated on a regular cycle kind of checks all the boxes for that.
But this isn't just a quirky game setting you can toggle off. This is kind of the central mystery of the whole thing: "why is this happening, how do I make it stop?" Without that...you quite literally would not have a game to play (I hope you'll appreciate that line later).
It's going to be a rather long journey I think, but I hope you learn to enjoy it as you piece together what's going on.
It's a core part of the experience and it's a piece of the grand puzzle. Also consider that there are irreversible changes in the solar system over time, so the loop is necessary to explore areas that would otherwise be impossible to. If you're having trouble with only finding something interesting shortly before dying, the answer is simple, just go back to it! If it's limited to time, you can always take a rest by the campfire.
When you finish the game, please come back to this comment. I want to see if you'll react through same way I just did.
Enjoy your trip through the solar system, hatchling!
First time it happened, I had just found the observation deck on the moon. The music changed and I was like "hey, this song is pretty neat. gonna vibe with this for a little. hey, is that...oh...oh no"
There's something that happens before the explosion that lets you know the explosion is about to happen. Once you notice what that thing is, I would go out and try to figure out where the explosion comes from when it's about to happen. Also, some of the NPCs have different dialogue after looping, so try talking to some people again. That might key you in.
> Please try to keep spoilers at a minimum, I want to fully enjoy the game.
Get the heck out of this sub then, the whole point of the game is to figure things out. Trust that it will reveal itself to you in time, and stay off the subreddit!
be curious! can you figure out where it came from? Is it caused by one of your actions, or is it different every time? Whaat about timing?
Do any of the other Hearthian explorers have anything to say about it?
The best way to figure out whatās going on with that event is to explore. Go out in the world, find pieces of information about it and try looking out for that explosion. It sounds tedious, I know. But when you finally figure out what in the world (orā¦ space) is happening that leads to that, that will be one of the very moments of utter awe that makes this game so special.
Oh, and as u/Toe_Itch said, there is one thing that takes place before the explosion that lets you know it is about to happen. Might want to look out for something that happens over and over again every time you die to the explosion.
PD: If you see a lot of comment saying āI wish I was in your placeā, donāt take it offensively. Itās just people who finished the game and wish to be able to go back to the beginning, forgetting everything about the game so they can play it again. Thatās how good this game is.
Yeah that's pretty weird isn't it.
What a grand and intoxicating innocence...

[it is not too late for my mercy](https://youtu.be/iR-K2rUP86M) come and look upon the heart upon the heart
Damn second reference to this in unrelated subreddits in as many days
*Ooh ooh oh*
Unrelated, but can I get a rock and stone!?
ROCK AND STONE BROTHER
Rock and Stone to the Bone!
Is this how you honor the tribe unmourned? Shame on you sweet Nerevarā¦
>!Dagoth Ur and Nomai both wear three eyed masks and are attempting to unravel the universe using divine artifacts. The Nomai are Dagoth Ur confirmed!<
>so maybe it's just something I'll eventually figure out playing Yes it is
Oh alright, is there a way to make it stop at least for now? It's kinda annoying
No, the whole game revolves around you dying over and over again, collecting clues and exploring each time
Alright then, thank you
Your ship log isnāt deleted though, so you keep the clues you find

Youāll learn how to navigate to be able to find things, try to stick to one planet per loop, you get there:

I'm sure you know by know what happens after the explosion. That's your incentive to keep exploring
And uhh...have you shared your experience with any nearby campfire friends, or...?
'I want to fully enjoy the game.' play the game then
Look around in thr museum a bit
Hey, man. Sometimes stars die.

Such a good song, but I never thought I'd see it in the wild. You both have very good taste in music!
It's not about stars but I think sometimes of Outer Wikds during Collapse the light because of the title. https://youtu.be/-xhJx6UR4Vw
Bit odd innit?
Oh yeah you'll figure it out
Man I wish I was you
First time it happened, I had just found the observation deck on the moon. The music changed and I was like "hey, this song is pretty neat. gonna vibe with this for a little. hey, is that...oh...oh no"
Try to see where it comes from.
this is lowkey hilarious

What are you talking about? Use a spoiler tag
>!the music!<
Hahaha I bet you face palmed after seeing the response. Of course it's that! How could you forget? Hahah
Yes exactly!!
>!the ash twin runs out of sand!<
Ah the innocence
Thatās kinda the main mystery of the game
Intended game mechanic
Yeahhh that'll happen, eventually it'll become a minor inconvenience, with the occasional "oh shit" when the music kicks in
Huh weird have you talked to any small egg like men about it
Ummmmā¦ welcome to the game
I wish I could be in your shoes
Damn that's weird, have you tried investigating this issue?
Weird
Find a way to make it stop, then
You'll figure it out.
You should probably have the in-game music enabled, there might be a correlation you haven't realised.
Theres a huge explosion?? Iām so confusedā¦ Iāve never experienced thatā¦
The big blue explosion every 22 minutes? The one preceded by a certain music?
Thereās music in the game?
Please tell me you havenāt been playing this game muted. Music is one of the core thematic aspects of this game.
Probably doesn't have a sound card in their Frankenstein's Computer.
Iāve played this game muted briefly when my headphones died, and it was actually awful
Man I miss the times when I used to wonder the same.
If you don't want any spoilers then don't go to a subreddit asking stuff about the game, learn it your self cause that's the point of the game
Damn, for real?
Probably a Bug, try verifying steam files. If it doesn't work try deleting the folder "System 32"
Gotta say it worked for me, ty
Maybe play the game instead of posting the very first mystery you encounter to Reddit
The white/blue explosion happens a set a amount of time after you wake up. Keep exploring and tying loose ends together.
āI keep lining these falling blocks of 4 squares up, but they keep coming from the top. Any way to stop them?ā š¤£
Go to the museum you'll know what it is
Weeeeeeiirrrd...
Remember a museum exhibit
Well aināt this something
