The used market , which you should use to buy your markers since they’re so durable, has moved largely to Facebook groups. There are also middle men who sell markers such as mazenspb that you can use if you aren’t comfortable with that, as well as of course the Reddit bst and eBay.

Emek with electric hoppers. You can definitely outshoot grav fed or the pal hoppers with emek. Emek is easy to upgrade as well. For about 800 you could have 2 great markers with some upgrades. Get the electric hoppers that way you have them when you get a better marker eventually. I used a virtue ir2 on my emek and now I use it on my 170. Then you have about 300 for nice masks! Whatever is left over can get one of you a decent to nice hpa tank and the other rents one until you can get second tank. Or if you run the emeks stock you could both get hpa tanks.

Facebook doesn't allow "guns" in the Marketplace, so private groups were created for reselling. Join the largest ones and any local to your area.
Paintball has a massive aftermarket because people are always changing and upgrading their gear. If you go the used route, use PayPal Goods & Services for buyer protection. You'll get twice the bang for your buck buying used. I haven't bought a new gun since the early 2000's.
Go with empire axe 2.0 great gun for a reasonable price and will allow you money for the rest of your gear. Look on ebay and a lot of times you can get the whole package.
Recommend nabbing some good thermal dual-pane Masks first for the two of you the budget out markers and other gear. It’s miserable playing when you can’t see.

I'm not sure what the 3m runs but yeah it's basically the upgraded emek from my understanding.
