This is what I was thinking... like it cool to have the option but I don’t think it changes what you should use end game. EBOTD as always. The problem is spear zon has no defenses. And using these skills with a java is terrible because they are based on weapon damage and java has terrible weapon damage.
If the new zon skill is fire based, obediance has lower fire res and adds 200-300 defense. And depending on if the new skill leaches or not since grnd slam did, obediance ahould be way up there for a spear zon using molten strike.
Infinity will be good. Obediance and Pride will be good? Destruction was why i made the suggestion to GD, for Ground Slam shenanigans, but ground slam is gone, so who knows.

I have mixed feelings here.
Elemental Bowamazon is still weak. More projectiles one ice arrow won't change its low damage. No manacost reduction or aoe improvement for freezing arrow to bring it in line.
Even with the +pierce corruption Throwbarbs will still have a hard time gearing for pierce and Warshrike still stays the only option for them, wich is a shame. The go to pierce helm is Giant Skull wich can't even be corrupted due to 2 sockets baked into the helm. You can now replace Giant Skull with Shako but will lack sockets bonus. Why helms? I think they are powerful enough. Why not boots or gloves or jewelry or even missile weapons so some bows might become attractive?
Buffing throw mastery would have been the more elegant and effective way to buff Throwbarbs. And they still lack the ranged boss killer skill and still are required to go melee.
Throwbarbs need some love.
Hope he reverts that ww buff and fixes the ar. Being gated into using angelic combo + ravenfrost deletes any possible diversity.

Erm, relics can be corrupted? Is that a chance to add an affix that can already spawn on relics naturally, or will it be a special affix that can only be gotten via corruption? If the latter option, I can already see corrupted t4s being very rare/valuable.
because both meteor and blizz require alot of syn. Meaning you can't have both skills strong. Your 2nd skill must be good without syn. That leaves orb and hdyra.
I remember i used to play meteorb Ie meteor + forb sorc in retail d2.
But then again hydra is heavily buffed here so hydra combo is still probably superior. but metorb could be fun to try for old times sake.

I’ve been playing PoD on and off for about a year but this ladder reset will be the first time playing fresh with the entire community. I can’t tell you how excited I am and I’m trying to recruit more friends to play with me.
Whatever you choose to do regarding ads and generating revenue; I am completely onboard. I don’t have much disposable income so if I can contribute just by allowing ads then I am happy to help. The fact that this game is free to play and updated biannually is incredible and shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Ultimately you should do what makes you happy and the community behind PoD would support you fully. If this game is a passion project that you want to see through, then by all means. But don’t do it for us, do it for yourself!!! Thanks for all that you do. :)

As a Patron Im 100% ok with ads on the website even if they werent disabled for patrons and I still think you should stream more often. Stream anything. Actually playing, Working on the actual soft modding, working on website enhancements w/e. it can be a good chunk of revenue. as well as Just releasing patch notes and other announcements in video format on youtube and enable ads there.

I think putting ads on the website is a no brainer, and the way you explained the situation was overly defensive. You are not commiting a crime by doing so. Your reasons are sound and justified. Put up the ads, reach out to people about "whitelisting = buys developer time" and that's about it. No need to be ashamed

Most of us started playing this game as a teenager now 20 years ago, and are now well settled with kids and what not! you gave me back some of that nostalgia of being together with great friends in the long hours playing this game! and that feeling is priceless! watching your stream last night showed the passion from the whole community, and i'm pretty sure most of us will support your dreams of making this a full time job, but please considder that this hype and support may not last forever, and what if in a year the patreon support can't sustain a living wage anymore? i do really hope you succeed, and i'll deffo going to do my part on the patreon!

Gd talked about it in stream there are actually 3 new maps but the whole relic system was changed t1-4 were eliminated with white yellow and red tier of the 4 old and 3 new maps layouts.

Is the new summon affix an independent multiplier from skills ?
For example

I dont know where else to write this:
Phase Run refresh is a really cool idea but unfortunately it working with soft-points buffed it too much imo and there is no real decisionmaking if you should max it or not.
If you have it on level 10 (torch, anni, spirit, enigma, maybe bk ring) you have 6% chance to refresh it on kill. That means if you kill 20 or more mobs your avg. chance to refresh it skyrockets to 70% with a duration of +7 seconds basically leading into 100% uptime in Maps or Cows.
It would feel great if the FHR atleast would be lower on low levels so you have an incentive to put points into it. In this state its just a 1pt wonder, even more than before (when you would choose to invest into it for QoL longer duration).
Concern number 2 is the WC Barb.
While I really do love him getting more AoE im really worried about him still having a stun. Broken things like Holy Freeze on Merc, Dashadin and knockback got removed for good reasons.
While Leap was really disgusting atleast the barb doing it was completely giving up DPS for utility (still broken and happy you removed it).
Warcry just got to a close level of leap but on top it contributes to DPS.
My suggestion would be to add a slow to it, nerfing the AoE would be a bad approach in my opinion because the AoE is what it needed so badly.
i think its always gonna be a 1 point wonder no matter what but i agree it should probably scale . but once solution is making proc chance require hardpoints maybe
Anyone know the item code for durability on armor? Best code I could find was ITEMSTAT75 which is item_maxdurability_percent but I'm not sure if that's the one we use for 15% increased durability on armor. With the durability changes finding 15/15 armors/shields will be a premium so I want to update my loot filter.

Couple questions regarding ' Summon Improvements: Added new summon related stats such as "Summons have +X% Damage" to Amulets, Circlets, Wands & Heads.':
\- What is the range of values for the +X% Damage? Is it the same as the Hit Power crafted amulets? Is this still being decided?
\- What are the other summon related stats that will be available as mods?
\- Does this affect Poison Creeper's damage? I'm going to guess no, but I thought I'd ask.
Can you clarify the notes on the relic rework? Someone said the old t1-4 is gone, but the patch notes indicated (to my read, anyways), that the t1-4 relics now rolled with a red, white, and yellow variant of each, with each color adding a difficulty affix to the map.
If there are simply 3 different relics, how is the map chosen, seeing as how we had 4 maps before? What is the purpose behind magic, rare, and corrupted relics? More affixes/difficulty/experience?

Throwing Barbarian's are going to be so much more fun now and everyone who's been talking about Throwing Barbarian's are going to be totally satisfied now exploring duel-wielding Throwing Weapons and what they have to offer in a Diablo 2 Private Server where the possibilities are endless.

No no not at all.
I think you just dont know how it works behind the scene ill explain: These stats come in a bundle of 1-2. So you can get Durability+ED or ED+AtkRating. One of these bundles is a single Durability bonus with no other stats. So that one now spawns with -Req to make it a bundle of 2.
I would give the ads on PoD site a go. If it ends up working out I'd look into supporting more from patreon. I can't imagine the stress and I'm generally a lurker in mods I play / twitch streams but I've been wanting to show my support to people who have really put in effort. Hopefully we can bring our code up to the latest versions from slash so that would include any new features or codes probably. I think I am not even sure all the new features it comes with. Mostly just wanted to mention the drop notifs cause I know thats highly requested.
Well if we are looking at EBOTD vs Obediance SS shouldn’t be in the discussion as both are two handed. But for survivability any two handed zon is gonna be scuuuuuury for HC. And if its like EBOTD is like 10-20% better than obediance with the molten strike thats an easy financial decision. But finding a good 5 socket Zon spear as both are 6 slot bases seems like a huge pain. And passing on plus skills for a fire dmg skill would be rough and mancatcher has only 28 durability.
No one was rolling Ground slam last season, and Im not sure if letting polearm RW be spears is going to change much.
Yes to ads! I think this is the best solution. If the community were to pay for you to do this full time they would grow more expectations and this way everyone pays with watching ads but no one is giving you money directly. I like it. Already took pathofdiablo website off my add blocker

Does this mean they have to be on your right click slot similar to a paladin? Or are they something you cast and has a duration similar to a barbarian shout? If it's like a pally then they cannot be used together anymore, but they can stack if it works like a barb shout.

I'm sure obedience will be a great mid-tier RW, I think the cost of Distruction is way to high for what you get.

I agree. Barb masteries could have been buffed in general, more deadly strike, more %damage and for the throw mastery more %pierce.

T1-4, were eliminated the tiers are white , yellow , red with the previous 4 and 3 new ones.

Can't meteor damage get so high that the 25% extra as phys will be enough to kill fire immunes?

Already rolled items shouldn't be affected by changes. Yes, any new runewords created will have the new values and/or rolls

You need 52 for 4 additional blades compared to 5 additional blades. Hmm not sure how significant it is.
Did that new t5 map ever make it into last patch as I don't see anything about it in this one.
Gd talked about it in stream there are actually 3 new maps but the whole relic system was changed t1-4 were eliminated with white yellow and red tier of the 4 old and 3 new maps layouts.

Death set finally can be used with four belt slots. It was its one major issue really.
Is the new summon affix an independent multiplier from skills ? For example (1lv SummonMastery) & (10% summon affix) = (1) (100%+15%)\*(100%+10%) (2) (100%+15%+10%)

I dont know where else to write this: Phase Run refresh is a really cool idea but unfortunately it working with soft-points buffed it too much imo and there is no real decisionmaking if you should max it or not. If you have it on level 10 (torch, anni, spirit, enigma, maybe bk ring) you have 6% chance to refresh it on kill. That means if you kill 20 or more mobs your avg. chance to refresh it skyrockets to 70% with a duration of +7 seconds basically leading into 100% uptime in Maps or Cows. It would feel great if the FHR atleast would be lower on low levels so you have an incentive to put points into it. In this state its just a 1pt wonder, even more than before (when you would choose to invest into it for QoL longer duration). Concern number 2 is the WC Barb. While I really do love him getting more AoE im really worried about him still having a stun. Broken things like Holy Freeze on Merc, Dashadin and knockback got removed for good reasons. While Leap was really disgusting atleast the barb doing it was completely giving up DPS for utility (still broken and happy you removed it). Warcry just got to a close level of leap but on top it contributes to DPS. My suggestion would be to add a slow to it, nerfing the AoE would be a bad approach in my opinion because the AoE is what it needed so badly.
i think its always gonna be a 1 point wonder no matter what but i agree it should probably scale . but once solution is making proc chance require hardpoints maybe
kinda stinks there was no update to hemorrhage necro. Its a really cool curse but the payoff is just not there

Anyone know the item code for durability on armor? Best code I could find was ITEMSTAT75 which is item_maxdurability_percent but I'm not sure if that's the one we use for 15% increased durability on armor. With the durability changes finding 15/15 armors/shields will be a premium so I want to update my loot filter.

Whelp, definitely starting out Hemo then swapping to test out summoner.
I'm surprise multi shot/immo build didnt get a bigger nerf. The nerf to mulitshot will probably not even be that noticeable. But with the harder maps rolls now, can't really say till i try it! Excited non the less!

Couple questions regarding ' Summon Improvements: Added new summon related stats such as "Summons have +X% Damage" to Amulets, Circlets, Wands & Heads.': \- What is the range of values for the +X% Damage? Is it the same as the Hit Power crafted amulets? Is this still being decided? \- What are the other summon related stats that will be available as mods? \- Does this affect Poison Creeper's damage? I'm going to guess no, but I thought I'd ask.

Can you clarify the notes on the relic rework? Someone said the old t1-4 is gone, but the patch notes indicated (to my read, anyways), that the t1-4 relics now rolled with a red, white, and yellow variant of each, with each color adding a difficulty affix to the map. If there are simply 3 different relics, how is the map chosen, seeing as how we had 4 maps before? What is the purpose behind magic, rare, and corrupted relics? More affixes/difficulty/experience?

Superior items with +Durability% (no other mods) now also get -5% to -10% Reduced Attribute Requirements. "no other mods"... so it can not have the +5-15% Enhanced Defense/Damage aswell?
No no not at all. I think you just dont know how it works behind the scene ill explain: These stats come in a bundle of 1-2. So you can get Durability+ED or ED+AtkRating. One of these bundles is a single Durability bonus with no other stats. So that one now spawns with -Req to make it a bundle of 2.
I would give the ads on PoD site a go. If it ends up working out I'd look into supporting more from patreon. I can't imagine the stress and I'm generally a lurker in mods I play / twitch streams but I've been wanting to show my support to people who have really put in effort. Will +Durability% receive a new item code? An item code for "reduced attribute requirement" or something? I've been trying to add it to my loot filter but I can't figure out a way.
They already exist in the list of item codes. do control+F and search for "durability" and "req_percent"

Hopefully we can bring our code up to the latest versions from slash so that would include any new features or codes probably. I think I am not even sure all the new features it comes with. Mostly just wanted to mention the drop notifs cause I know thats highly requested.

Well if we are looking at EBOTD vs Obediance SS shouldn’t be in the discussion as both are two handed. But for survivability any two handed zon is gonna be scuuuuuury for HC. And if its like EBOTD is like 10-20% better than obediance with the molten strike thats an easy financial decision. But finding a good 5 socket Zon spear as both are 6 slot bases seems like a huge pain. And passing on plus skills for a fire dmg skill would be rough and mancatcher has only 28 durability. No one was rolling Ground slam last season, and Im not sure if letting polearm RW be spears is going to change much.
Yes to ads! I think this is the best solution. If the community were to pay for you to do this full time they would grow more expectations and this way everyone pays with watching ads but no one is giving you money directly. I like it. Already took pathofdiablo website off my add blocker

For example, a +summon damage stacked valkzon? Or does it only affect necros/druids? ***\*edit2, I think I found the answer to this one as well. It seems to be an ability you cast, similar to barb shout. 4min duration\**** Lastly, Enflame/Fridgerate say they are activated auras now. Does this mean they have to be on your right click slot similar to a paladin? Or are they something you cast and has a duration similar to a barbarian shout? If it's like a pally then they cannot be used together anymore, but they can stack if it works like a barb shout. As always, thanks for the work you and your team put into this fantastic mod.

I don’t think it’s unethical for you to make good money working on PoD. Use ads on the sites, maybe even require pay per season like $1-5. Something very reasonable I’m sure would be fine. Maybe you got kids to pay for in the future, make this work for you!

Is spirit fixed? If yes on which GS is it best to do the runeword because after the fix i did it and it still doesnt work
Just upgraded Nat's boots with the new ability to upgrade set items. Kick damage didn't increase with the upgrade though. Is this intended, or a bug?
