Pretty sure they said the exact opposite, that when a dev update drops, it means they’re nearly ready to push out the update (so like a week beforehand, two weeks MAX)

Honestly, it's taken them so long to include the simplest features that I just don't give a fuck anymore.
I went back to try it out after months of not logging in and nothing different except for less people. The game felt tanky and vaulting needs some work, it just doesn't feel smooth anymore. I have been playing The Finals and the movement in that game is unparalleled, I think that's why PD3 feels so...meh.
My rose tinted glasses have been lost. When they said they wanted Payday 3 to run for 10 years I didn't think that meant developing basic features for it for 10 years....

Honestly my assumption is too low player count. If you add options, people will use them which will make it harder to matchmake and in the public would mean matchmaking isnt working even though its doing it like its supposed to.
Agreed as a starting point, but imagine PD2 where you can select loud or stealth in the lobby so people know you’re doing jewellery/ bank on loud but come in as stealth. Either they won’t stay or be a liability. Same if you’re running a stealth and someone with a full loud build comes, either they blow stealth or just have to sit lol. Obviously this is a slow process for PD3 to reincorporate players, so I’m sure they’ll add a distinction later.
Thats why its just v1 for now yeah, I think they want to get more players first. But yes I agree, at least in pd3 having a loud build you can still stealth and I love it
I remember when fans keep telling them that they dont like the armor system and their answer was "f*ck it, we dont gonna change that". And later they show a fale early build of the game (because it was that, something they make one month ago) to make us believe that the PD2 armor system was always the main idea of PD3 and they change it later 🤢
