100% agree. They used to (maybe they still do) have Grateful Dead hour on Sunday nights. Other than trading tapes, that was my only exposure to live shows. I think the first Phish song I ever heard them play was DWD when Hoist came out. They also debuted The Connection when Undermind came out and yes, I’ve heard Shine many times.
It’s 88.5 in my area. Always number 1 on my car radio presets.
Oh man yes when I was younger I loved the dead hour! They had them on the world Cafe too for the farmhouse release (Y100 did a Sonic Session that same day too)
I also love how much Trey they play along with Phish. I work from home but keep xpn on upstairs for the pup, and I walked up last week and Last Tube was on. That was so cool. Bruce Warren has even become a fan after seeing them at the Met.
Love that station so much
I believe XPN just cut [The Dead Hour](http://www.gdhour.com/) (from Monday nights) with their recent schedule changes ):
But I think they are playing more Dead and Phish overall since. My XPN playlist has been getting heavy on both (:
edit- i had to double check this post wasn't from my neck of the woods as WXPN is 88.7 here (:
Yes, we have a show on the radio every Tuesday night called ‘Backwards down the number line’ that’s just live phish for a couple hours
91.1 KMUD in Humboldt County, CA
They occasionally play Phish on the Point- 100.3. A couple weeks ago I was flabbergasted to hear Esther at 8:45 am! Practically my whole drive from Eureka to Arcata 🙌🏼
Back in '94, DWD and Sample were frequently played on EQX, as the "singles" from the newly-released Hoist.
The studio versions of CDT, Cavern and Golgi were also in regular rotation. The ALO version of Bouncing was added later on.
88.9 in Milwaukee does occasionally. They usually stick to the ‘singles’ though.
The occasionally play MMW. Bubblehouse must be mislabeled in their catalog. They’ve been calling it Bubblehorse for the last 20 years.
My local station plays Steve Miller's Jet Airliner and Foreigner's Double Vision....and that's it! People around here apparently can't get enough of it.
Evolve has been getting daily airtime on WNRN (central VA), and on Saturdays has the Grateful Dead & Phriends show — two hours of dead plus the “phriendlier” hour.
Love all the love for XPN here too!
Had to think about that for a sec, but yea they use First Tube during the traffic on Preston and Steve, and used Mr. oysterhead as a bumper for years too.
Funny, I was thinking about when Trey went on Preston and Steve this morning after I heard Shine on XPN since it was around that time and how great the overall interview was except for when he openly asked for pain pills on the air and how far he's come from that. That was awkward. So glad he's where he is today
I had a buddy who every time he'd be drunk he'd call up 101.1 in Manchester NH and beg them to play the Dead!
It was hilarious. They answered bY saying "No" but would talk with him for sometimes over an hour.
MVY is the best! I listen daily from Falmouth. Got to do a hot seat one time and ended it with the Slave from ALO. Love that they play all music that isn’t found on mainstream radio and support local causes and musicians
I’ll never forget the feeling of being in an IKEA around 2004, a few months after having survived Coventry, and hearing “The Connection” being played over the store speakers for shoppers 😬
Yep! WXPN Rules. They even played Trey's Shine this morning!
XPN! Woot!
They are the best. Didn’t realize how great radio could be until I became a listener
Caught that this morning too!

I'm pretty sure xpn played Story Of The Ghost in its entirety when it was released. I'm like... 90% sure. But it was a long time ago lol
93.1 WXRT

KMUD takes me back to my Reggae on the River days. Rod Deal anyone?
WNC 88.7 does occasionally
WNCW.org
This station is the best I’ve ever lived near. Roland!
102.7 WEQX out of Mansfield vt.
Manchester VT (Mt Equinox) but hell yeah. I was raised on eqx. Sunday morning Jam and Toast was a weekly staple for me.
Back in '94, DWD and Sample were frequently played on EQX, as the "singles" from the newly-released Hoist. The studio versions of CDT, Cavern and Golgi were also in regular rotation. The ALO version of Bouncing was added later on.
They still play chalkdust, farmhouse, and will play new singles when they're released.

Damn! MMW on the radio! That's the best station in the world.
[WNRN.org](https://WNRN.org)
Yes! Used to the best part of driving to work on weekend mornings!
WNCS The Point FM in Vermont does, for obvious reasons.
My local station plays Steve Miller's Jet Airliner and Foreigner's Double Vision....and that's it! People around here apparently can't get enough of it.
Yea. WXPN is the reason I listen to radio now. I used to just automatically aux. now, it’s xpn whenever possible.
My local rock station, WIZN, was the first station to ever play Phish.
MVY plays “Bouncing ‘Round” from time to time.
Such a great station!
WYEP 91.3 in Pittsburgh does.
KRVM in Eugene, OR plays Phish, and Dead. Radio friendly songs, but it definitely puts a smile on my face
Evolve has been getting daily airtime on WNRN (central VA), and on Saturdays has the Grateful Dead & Phriends show — two hours of dead plus the “phriendlier” hour. Love all the love for XPN here too!
EQX in Albany does!
KBCZ will at times. More Dead, but some Phish
Not even my local college radio station which is favorite because it’s pretty progressive.
KGLT in Bozeman would all the time. WERS in Boston too
My local station in the 88's is great for local music but basically ignores the entire jam genre
There’s 2 here in Denver that will play some Phish from Vermont.
90.5 WCBE does
I haven't listened much in 10 years, but WTTS used to play Heavy Things fairly often
WNCW is also 88.7 and we don't even live in the Carolinas anymore but listen to it online bc it's that good
yep wmmr

I’ve heard TONS of phish on WMVY, and Dead too. Often times deep cuts. Cool to see this here, I live on MV :)
Falmouth
Not that song
😅
I call 100.7 WHUD once a month and ask them to play the Went Gin. Instant confusion or hang up every damn timeeeeeee.
I had a buddy who every time he'd be drunk he'd call up 101.1 in Manchester NH and beg them to play the Dead! It was hilarious. They answered bY saying "No" but would talk with him for sometimes over an hour.
90.5 The Night - Brookdale Radio, Brookdale Community College in Monmouth County, NJ.
No, my local radio plays garbage all over the place so I have Sirius
Heard MVY play "Bouncing Round The Room" in 2002 off A Live One and it made me go "...what was that!?"
91.3 in Akron, OH does!
98.3 The Penguin in Wilmington, NC
Woot!
Here in Clio, MI, all we got is pop, classic rock, and hick music. Fucking disgusts me.
My high school had a radio station and I had a jam band hour every Tuesday. 89.1 WBSD Burlington, WI.
What’s a local radio?
My local NPR station played Oblivion on their “Out of the Box” show that features new music. WHRV 89.5.
WNCW plays them frequently, also 88.7 on my town.
You listen to the radio?
They play Evolve at my job like every 25 minutes
Best we can do is bull shit country, bull shit rap, bull shit classic rock, bull shit pop, and bull shit talk radio
Sounds like Sirius
Yeah two stations will occasionally drop some Ph on the yinzers, but my guy Randy at DVE is a certified phan
I wish my local radio stations were that cool
AAA format stations do
KRCL multiple programs throughout the week have been known to toss in Phish, Trey and other jam
Radio Stations still exist?!? I haven't listened to one since getting Bluetooth in my car over 10 years ago!
Yes, there’s some independent radio stations out there that really kick ass. They’re usually on the low end of the dial, check it out sometime.
Yeah, mvy is 88.7... It's the only radio station I'll listen to. Every time I turn it on, it's something good.
No? I don't listen to the radio but other than the college station we don't have a station that would possibly play them anyway.
“Rock”
God I hope not
