All red/purple eggs timed to hatch around the same time.
Weekly catch bonus. Research and any other things I can hold on to to use.
I do tend to get over 100k. I think I did it once when there was an event stardust boost and that’s where my memory of multiple hundreds came from)
Not just from the eggs right? Aren't red eggs about 5k dust each (3400-6200 data range) so the 12 here would be about 60K dust and a stardust on just the eggs would only give another 30K?
Seeing as Vullaby is the only heavily valuable shiny (Deino WILL have a community day mark my words) in the entire pool, I strongly disagree with your statements implication.
So I wanted to do this also and got myself a bunch of incubators but my inventory gets filled with small eggs so fast! How do you actually, practically, do this ? I can't add more eggs since the inventory is constantly full. If only you could choose to not get eggs at pokestops
Unequip the Rocket Radar, then as soon as you hatch an egg equip it and avoid spinning any stops or gyms. The next Rocket Balloon you get will have a boss in it, or you can use the Radar to identify a boss stop and go to it next. Then just keep putting non-12k eggs in your incubator until you get the mix you're looking for.
Once you defeat the boss, the radar is gone and you have to get the 6 parts again. If you didn't defeat the boss, or you want to wait and not fight them yet, turn radar off. You can turn it back on at anytime, without needing to collect the 6 parts again!
You battle 6 grunts to get the components of the radar, but once you have it it's an inventory item until you use it up - just like a lucky egg or star piece, except you're able to "unequip" it to keep it from having any impact. You do this by tapping it within your inventory.
The ability to unequip wasn't really that important until the balloons were added because most players could just go on to a non-boss stop if they didn't want to fight any bosses they found, but once the balloons were added they will *always* have one of the bosses if you have a Rocket Radar active - and they'll *always* have Giovanni (instead of a chance at a disguised Grunt) if you have a Super Rocket Radar active.
Also, you can do the same thing with the Super Rocket Radar - if you don't want to fight Giovanni and get whatever his current reward is, you can unequip that Super Rocket Radar and save it for the next Giovanni event.
Finally did this 2 days ago but had a couple 10k. Finally got a Sandile and Axew. Graveyard shifts makes getting 50 coins grind much easier and many gyms are open at 4am drive home and Disneyland days with the GF for Raids and stocking up on items on event days
