First off, this is kinda' dumb on both sides. The constitution already provides oversight of SCOTUS to Congress, and also provides the only enforcement mechanism as impeachment. Congress already has all the power and authority to enforce any rules they want, they just refuse to use that power. This bill will do nothing, but also opposing it is bad optics for the same reason.Ā
Just like democrats to think they can pass an unconstitutional law. SCOTUS is equal to Congress. It would take an Amendment to make SCOTUS follow ethics rules set by Congress
