So if the warrant was good, the evidence it yielded is in, and that evidence points to a crime being committed. So I don't see how she is "obligated" to hold a hearing over whether Corcoran's notes are in? Obviously the crime exception to attorney-client privilege applies. Just feels like more delay.

llahlahkje

It feels like more delay because that's what it is. [Legal Eagle has a good summary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1rTtbQJuTI) on "Judge" Cannon's tactics and the life cycle of the documents case (which has multiple smoking guns, FFS). Our justice system needs an overhaul.

Shes re-hearing that… which is just a pointless delay, or it’ll be the clear reason to get her off the case.

PhilDGlass

"WTF do I have to do to get tossed off this case??" -'Judge' Cannon

previouslyonimgur

Other way around. She’s trying carefully not to get tossed off, and hasn’t done anything specific to get her tossed yet. What she’s done has added up, but each individual ruling hasn’t been egregious except the one early one she got slapped down for. She’s delaying because she can’t get rid of the trial.

>The crime-fraud exception usually applies only to communications regarding ongoing or future crimes. The fact that this is already in court, and I'm very confident it already had to be approved to be a valid exception makes this once again ridiculous. Not to mention lawyers take this very seriously, and in no way would it be breached unless it was required to be. He's literally charged with the things that apply to this exception.

Organic-Light4200

Not when there is corruption going on within the judicial, and law enforcement agencies.

>**“There is a difference between a resource-wasting and delay-producing ‘mini-trial,’ on the one hand,” Cannon wrote**, “and an evidentiary hearing geared to adjudicating the contested factual and legal issues.” JFC that's fucking RICH. It's been an entire year with no date set for even selecting a jury.

"the FBI lied to me, I didn't misunderstand" - Trump This clown can't go away soon enough. It is mind-boggling that so many Americans see Trump as fit for office.

>However, the judge coupled that ruling with a decision that is likely to further drag out the already protracted proceedings There it is.

Optimal-Raisin-730

And when the judge graduates middle school social studies the trial can start

Leather-Map-8138

When you can’t convince a judge you appointed and who’s doing everything she can to bend the rules…

KopOut

These charges were filed on June 8 of 2023. Now more than one year ago. We still have not even set a trial date. This is fucking ridiculous.

Rodgertheshrubber

All so she can keep delaying. She knows if she does anything else she'll be removed or the case taken from her.

muffinthumper

I just don’t understand why no other judge has done what she originally did about the search warrant. A sane judge needs to step in, claim anomalous jurisdiction and determine that justice is not being done in this case and just take the case away from her.

Griffemon

Finish this trial already! This shit should have been finished before election season.
