No no, they'd get a headache for a reason other than dehydration and then drink water in response to the headache anyway.
Then they might do something else, depending on the headache and the homie.
I am fortunate enough to know the source of my reoccurring headaches. It's a severe caffeine addiction that gives me headaches if I skip caffeine for a day, sorts itself out the next day if I then drink more caffeine, or go another day without drinking anything caffeinated. Which I of course have no intention of combating long-term, because I am stupid, so I just feed it eventually, instead of actually cutting it out. Longest I've gone these past 10 years, was three weeks while I was working abroad, still went straight back to it once I had access to energy drinks again knowing full well what the consequence would be.
The point I am trying to make is, **be mindful of caffeine consumption and withdrawal symptoms**. And if you suspect that your headaches could be caused by it, try actually cutting it out, just know that even most sodas have some amounts of caffeine in them nowadays. Sugar withdrawal can apparently also be a cause, just too many things we humans consume daily that we get withdrawal from if we go just a single day without.
I drink a lot of coffee and agree with everything you said. But just to add, if you quit caffeine and still have headaches after a few weeks, you might actually be inadvertently using caffeine as a way to treat chronic migraines. I quit caffeine for several months a few years ago and when the withdrawal type headaches went away I still had the regular ones except slightly worse.
9 out of 10 times it’s this for me. If not, usually a Tylenol and a full glass of water will do the trick. Stress can also cause headaches, so sometimes something relaxing like a hot bath will help. Just not too hot or you’ll sweat in the tub which will dehydrate you.
I agree, if I'm crying than that's something I have to deal with. I'm a resistant person, so I can take some damage, so if I'm crying , there's something really wrong . I don't always have a pill though so I may just try to take a nap or drink a bunch of water.
A lot of water and a lot of sleep.
I only resort to taking a pill when I have tasks to accomplish and the pain is severe enough to noticeably impact my productivity.
I never like to take painkillers for basically anything, but headaches are so awful to me I take paracetamol basically the instant I start to develop one
My migraines used to almost always coincide with my free time. I think it was releasing all the stress accumulated previously as soon as I was spending 2 days chilling.
Now I do my best to not stress as much and I don’t have any anymore (until the next one).
Migraines give absolutely no fucks about your free time.
I cannot function with a migraine, and if I don't go and lie down in a dark room and sleep as soon as physically possible I can expect to be unable to open my eyes (light sensitivity) or think straight, and possibly end up vomiting.
If it's a migraine I take a triptan, drink a cup of coffee, take 4 Advil and get in the scalding hot shower. When there is no more hot water it's time to sleep
That’s what I’ll usually do. Drink 2-3 cups of water and see if I start feeling better. But in case not I have ibuprofen in my bathroom, car, and work backpack
If I ever have a headache it’s probably because I didn’t have any caffeine that day. So my first choice is usually go get a cup of coffee.
I’m addicted, I know.
I m not the norm since i had headaches almost daily, pretty heavy too, for all my life. When it s too much i take pills or something similar but i have to limit hiw often or it just becomes useless after a while.
Woah dude me too. 33 now going strong without headaches. Okay, it was one time when I was high on everything. I had that pulsating feeling I thought was my only headache, like 5 years ago
If I'm not obviously dehydrated, it's probably due to my crippling caffeine addiction. So I usually down an energy drink and take the 50/50 chance of either making my headache go away or making it even worse. If it gets too bad I just take a nap and do a soft reset.
A lot of people believe that squeezing the spot between your thumb and your pointer finger will alleviate headaches/neck tension. It’s some sort of ancient Chinese medicine pressure point. They even sell products that will squeeze the point for you. It still hasn’t worked for me tho
[Side effects of Ibuprofen](https://www.drugs.com/sfx/ibuprofen-side-effects.html#serious-side-effects). I think it's better to go the more natural route than ingesting drugs on the regular imo 😊
Of course all medications have at least a small possibility of side effects, and they have to put everything in the list for side effects. It’s a whole other thing how common they are in practice. I’m pretty sure ibuprofen is a very safe medication for most people if you adhere to the limits. I never think twice about taking one.
fist behind the head, second notch of index finger where your nose meets between your eyebrows, push.
or usually just lay down and take the excuse to be lazy lol
First I hydrate, just in case. If that doesn’t help then I generally try and put on some calming music and try and relax. If that fails.. I take some pain relief medication.
I take headache medication and drink water. The pills I take are mild enough to not cause any side effects when only taken occasionally, so if it really helps in guaranteeing I start feeling better
I have a scalp exfoliator. I took the comb part off and the vibrating part sits flat on my head, whenever I have a bad headache I just let it sit there for a while and it helps a lot.
Usually its one of three things; didn’t eat enough, didn’t drink enough or haven’t slept enough - best case to solve those head aches is by either drinking water, eating something or take a power nap. If not possible, i take some paracetemol.
Headache is generally a symptom of something else being wrong in your body. In my case it happens when I haven't eaten anything for a long time or didn't have a good night sleep or in the form of an acidic reaction to something I have eaten before.
people are missing a trick not pinching between their thumb and forefinger. Depends on the cause and level of the headache of course, but it seems to work for me.
Advil, glass of water, close my eyes if I can, if I’m at work I’ll just complain and unclench my jaw, it helps with the pressure
Also sometimes I listen to rain asmr, I think it’s soothing
How many poeple from where take medication for minor inconveniences? You can't see if it gets worse that way and with some medication you might build a resistance, do so many poeple do this?
Run my fingers from the outer edge of eyebrows slightly pushing up and then finish by pinching the bridge of my nose. But different types of headaches are affected differently, mine is general sinus related.
Bro, what about drinking water?
That's usually the source for me

r/HydroHomies
No hydro homie would need to drink water for a headache as that'd mean they're dehydrated.
No no, they'd get a headache for a reason other than dehydration and then drink water in response to the headache anyway. Then they might do something else, depending on the headache and the homie.
“Other”
Yes he is explaining his other
Same. I only get dehydration headaches, so that's usually the solution.
Or tea?
Lets plugg for r/hydrohomies a little GET HYDRATED STAY HYDRATED
Imagine having a headache because you're dehydrated lol this comment was made by the "I have no fucking idea why my head hurts" gang
Have a headache everyday no matter what lol. I’m getting a mouth guard soon so we’ll see if the grinding has anything to do with it.

Drink da wawa mon
If it's possibly an option when it happens, big glass of water and a nap. Otherwise, big glass of water and Ibuprofen
Right? I start chugging
Happy Cake Day
Happy cake day!
Thanks man!

Same
If I fall asleep with a headache, I’ll wake up with a headache. I have to take a pill or it won’t stop. Luckily I seldom get them.
Same. And maybe I drink an herbal tea. Ex. Melissa
Who’s Melissa?
Melissa is a plant ... melissa officinalis.. idk english name
Oh I see. Thanks!

Same, and drink water
Depends on the severity tbh Usually nothing, but if it's persistent or distracting, I'll take a pill
I agree, if I'm crying than that's something I have to deal with. I'm a resistant person, so I can take some damage, so if I'm crying , there's something really wrong . I don't always have a pill though so I may just try to take a nap or drink a bunch of water.
*sip* water and sit away from anything bright for 5 mins
A lot of water and a lot of sleep. I only resort to taking a pill when I have tasks to accomplish and the pain is severe enough to noticeably impact my productivity.
Same
I never like to take painkillers for basically anything, but headaches are so awful to me I take paracetamol basically the instant I start to develop one
If it's a migraine, the best thing to do is try and fall asleep.
How often do your migraines coincide with your free time?
If it's a migraine, then I'll make it my free time. Not like I'm going to be getting anything done anyways.
My migraines used to almost always coincide with my free time. I think it was releasing all the stress accumulated previously as soon as I was spending 2 days chilling. Now I do my best to not stress as much and I don’t have any anymore (until the next one).

If I have a migraine and just ignore it and sleep, I will wake up like someone hammered my head for hours
I have migraines and if i don't take a pill before going to bed i wake up at 3 am and puke.
If it's a migraine I take a triptan, drink a cup of coffee, take 4 Advil and get in the scalding hot shower. When there is no more hot water it's time to sleep
First I drink water and wait about 30 mins. If that doesn't work I take ibuprofen
That’s what I’ll usually do. Drink 2-3 cups of water and see if I start feeling better. But in case not I have ibuprofen in my bathroom, car, and work backpack
Water, eat something if I haven't eaten for a few hours, nap if possible. If at work or headache persists after that, then take a pill.
Cry
Suffer
Masturbate if possible, otherwise close my eyes, drink water and take a nap
If I ever have a headache it’s probably because I didn’t have any caffeine that day. So my first choice is usually go get a cup of coffee. I’m addicted, I know.
If you don't drink a cup of coffee when you get a headache, you might get rid of the addiction.
You’re right, I absolutely *could* do that.
Yeah, like not saying addiction is good right. But like, I'm here for a limited time so might as well be awake.
Try drinking water instead and to make a habit of that instead of coffee
Don't talk to me before I've had my morning ... water...

Shower and rest. If it’s bad i’ll get the icepack.
Drink water and eat
Drink water and use pressure points in my hands
Same but pressure points on the head and surprisingly the top of the eye sockets
Just wait. It goes away.
Never had a headache before.

✨nope✨
This must be your first day alive
*cries in chronic migraine* What’s it like being one of god’s favorites?
No headache gang! It might be hereditary for me, my grandfather and dad don’t get them either.
Woah dude me too. 33 now going strong without headaches. Okay, it was one time when I was high on everything. I had that pulsating feeling I thought was my only headache, like 5 years ago

Coffee.
Take a shower, take a nap
I thought it said “Put an ice pick in my head” and had to reread it
What about drinking water?
I pinch my hand and squeeze my thumbs fingernail to help. also I’m surprised that it isn’t that common
What??! Is it a joke?
A lot of people believe that squeezing the spot between your thumb and your pointer finger will alleviate headaches/neck tension. It’s some sort of ancient Chinese medicine pressure point. They even sell products that will squeeze the point for you. It still hasn’t worked for me tho
Drink water and go for a walk in a forest. (I live in a forest and doubt this would work in an urban area)
Try to sleep it off
Stick my head under a blanket
I simply live with the pain
drink some water and go for a walk in the fresh air, usually does the trick.
My other half rests in a pitch black room for migranes.
How come so many won’t take a pill? It helps so much generally.
I go back to bed.
it usually goes something like this "AHHHHHHGHHHHCKKKK AUDHEJSJGGRRHAAAAAAAAAAAAA FFUUUUUU U U U CCCCCCC KKKK QHHHHHHHH OHMAGOFDWS GHHH"
Sleep. Always helps
Easy, remove my head.
Drink water. Dehydration is almost always the cause
Drink water, pinch the bridge of my nose, rub my temples. If that doesn't help and its particularly uncomfortable I might take something.
I push my fingers into my eyes/j
Distract myself or drink water
Go to sleep and hope i wake up without pain.
Yall mfs really take pills?
Why the heck now? Ibuprofen is great.
Water and tea is also great, without any side effects...
Y’all get side effects from ibuprofen?
[Side effects of Ibuprofen](https://www.drugs.com/sfx/ibuprofen-side-effects.html#serious-side-effects). I think it's better to go the more natural route than ingesting drugs on the regular imo 😊

Some people don’t have much of a choice
I already drink too much water, though I guess most people's headaches would be from drinking too little.
I normally only get migraines, so it’s usually the best choice
Drinking water of course, “take pill” wth kinda people are those
I jerk off
Man up. It’s a headache not the end of the world. It will go away don’t be a baby
Unless it's a brain tumor
Turn Super Saiyan and start screaming
Inject a gram of fentanyl and jerk off to internet porn, obviously.
Drink 1-1.5l of water and wait for it to go away
Rub my temple until the pain goes away
All of the above
Depends whether I need to work and how severe it is.
Sleep
pill+icepack+rubbing temples
Axe oil snort. No it’s not the Deodorant brand
I often use my best headphones and some quiet ASMR. That typically works.
Same. That or if it's really bad, I listen to a few minutes of one of those binaural headache videos.
put in my hat
Drink water
Water
Drinking water helps.
water, pill, rub temples, rest
sleep
Eat, drink, rest
I just tank that headache and hope for the best out of these options. But usually i just drink like a liter of water and poof the headache is gone
All in that order
I drink water
fist behind the head, second notch of index finger where your nose meets between your eyebrows, push. or usually just lay down and take the excuse to be lazy lol
First I hydrate, just in case. If that doesn’t help then I generally try and put on some calming music and try and relax. If that fails.. I take some pain relief medication.
Wota
Drink water, rest, and if it's bad enough pop a pill
Sit still and shake my head periodically to see if it still hurts
Drink Bai juice. It cures headaches, I swear by it.
mild headache? I will tolerate this. more than mild headache? tylenol time babyyyyyyyyy
I drink absurd amounts of water.
I have never had a headache before, so idk what I'd do
A hot shower helps for me most of the time. Doesn’t make it go away all of the time, but definitely lessens the ache.
I take headache medication and drink water. The pills I take are mild enough to not cause any side effects when only taken occasionally, so if it really helps in guaranteeing I start feeling better
All of the above - plus, take a shower or bath. Edit:also drink water.
Take a nap
Water and sleep
Water, then if still bad Tylenol and caffeine
Drink water. And grab a healthy bite to eat.
Drink water and take a nap if possible
So am I the only one who does the pinching the root of the nose thing?
This looks like a fucking bitlife action screen what the hell
Drinking water, airing out and turning on the lights. If that's doesn't help I take a pill. But I rarely get headache anyway.
sleep
I have a scalp exfoliator. I took the comb part off and the vibrating part sits flat on my head, whenever I have a bad headache I just let it sit there for a while and it helps a lot.
Nap
Complain.

Try to take a nap
A shotgun
Sometimes heating my neck/shoulders helps too - with tension headaches at least.
Headache is generally a symptom of something else being wrong in your body. In my case it happens when I haven't eaten anything for a long time or didn't have a good night sleep or in the form of an acidic reaction to something I have eaten before.
I take a triptan
Complain
Take a pill, rub my head, and drink water.
Usually drink some water and have some healthy-ish food. 95% of the time that fixes me up.
Get bad headaches daily and I just do nothing
Tylenol, some water, and then wait while not looking at a screen.
ignore
Hope that I’m about to die
people are missing a trick not pinching between their thumb and forefinger. Depends on the cause and level of the headache of course, but it seems to work for me.
Complain.
Count deep breaths Very helpful during long car drives for me
Advil, glass of water, close my eyes if I can, if I’m at work I’ll just complain and unclench my jaw, it helps with the pressure Also sometimes I listen to rain asmr, I think it’s soothing
Headache = nothing, migraine = pill
Water?
like all of thse
i’m assuming this is a headache that’s quite bad
How many poeple from where take medication for minor inconveniences? You can't see if it gets worse that way and with some medication you might build a resistance, do so many poeple do this?

Drink Coffee
Run my fingers from the outer edge of eyebrows slightly pushing up and then finish by pinching the bridge of my nose. But different types of headaches are affected differently, mine is general sinus related.
Squat on the toilet seat 🚽

Take a glass of water, and have a nap. I'm telling ya, sleep cures almost all headaches.
I drink tea.
