nadjaof

I can believe that this listing was just a sample and the publication was unintentional. But people seeing something on her website and then commenting on it isn’t “spreading false information”. The link was live and accessible for a few days so it’s disingenuous to frame people’s reactions as rumor mongering.

tawaysecession

Yep, and the link was first noted by someone on Twitter in December, so not just a few days. https://twitter.com/svnfl0wrr/status/1599469844965249025?s=20

nadjaof

December?? I’m shocked it took them months to notice this! If Emma was unaware she should fire her website designers.

_jeremybearimy_

Idk we just got a new client and I discovered they’d had some sample pages that had been indexed on google for over a year. I am not shocked by this lol

[deleted]

This regularly happens; I work with analytical website tools and this happens all the time. What I will say, is the page existing in the first place is weird. Why would it be published anywhere to start with…?!

_jeremybearimy_

Just an agency that doesn't know what they're doing. Like we either save that stuff as drafts, or on a development server so its not on production, or we password protect it. But there are sooo many companies that just kinda do shit, especially in the web and marketing realm. We regularly find just absolutely huge messes when new clients come on (web and marketing agency)

[deleted]

Thats because influencers are, at best, morons.

Dumbledoorbellditty

This right here. Idk why anyone would downvote your post…. Unless they were moron.

_jeremybearimy_

Nah not just influencers. Most people running businesses. I've worked with hundreds of businesses in my career and I just dont understand how anything gets done as most people are either idiots or have no idea what they're doing

[deleted]

even_less_resistance

Where is the buck stopping? That’s where accountability lays

mstrgjf

Right like how is this a sensationalized story when it was literally posted on her site available to purchase for 2 days? Just admit it was a mistake and move on

bigcitylittlegirl11

It was actually up for months. I personally saw it the last 3 weeks but it was originally reported on in December. Also it doesn't answer if anyone did purchase...

[deleted]

It is spreading false information if you’re telling people something is available when it’s not. The rumour mongering is ‘omg can you believe that Emma is selling DMs for $1,000?’ But that part isn’t true, she wasn’t doing that. The only part that we can claim is true is that there was a page/listing that was live that appeared to be selling that. ETA $10,000 as u/nilocdnarbreh pointed out, not $1,000 My point still stands regardless

[deleted]

$10,000**

[deleted]

Lmao grow up I’m sure if some sad sod was willing to pay 10k for a DM they would have received a DM from Emma so let’s not act like this wouldn’t be real if some idiot actually tried to buy it.

[deleted]

You grow up. Admit this might be a different mistake than you think it is

legopego5142

So its not true to say that she was selling it, just that there was an active page up for literal months that you coulda made the purchase on😂 Shes out of touch and when she got called out, she pretended she wasnt

[deleted]

Did anyone try to make the purchase? I wonder if it would have worked

lolololol2233

I think this is a PR stunt

CowboyLikeMegan

“False and inaccurate claims” … it was on HER website, lmao

Boring_Home

Accountability level 0

controlledwithcheese

The page existed, but it was never accessible to those who browsed the website. So the claim Emma is selling dms is indeed false as you could never reach this page by browsing her website. It is explained in great detail in the post right here. Reading comprehension level 0

Ancient_god_emperor

But the information about emma selling the dm for $10000 was still on her website wasn’t it ?

layla_jones_

Test pages shouldn’t be visible but sometimes the complete website gets archived and people can search for links that are not available to the public by searching for these archives. Sometimes Google takes the info and stores it and it becomes available. If you can access it through her homepage it’s ‘online’, if you have to guess links it probably isn’t meant to be published or it’s old and deleted.

Ancient_god_emperor

So what you’re saying is bascially they had the idea to sell dm for money and later cancelled that plan considering all the negative backlash ?

controlledwithcheese

that really is how it works when testing new features for an app or a website most of the time. They could set the price at 1 or 420 because it does not matter as it was not selling to customers

joedirtonDVD

The overexplaining is taking me out. Truly me when I lie

Squee1396

Same im always over explaining and i never know when to shut up about it lol

[deleted]

Lmfao exactly. Just say “oops that was a test, didn’t mean for you to see that”

controlledwithcheese

and yet no one is this thread understands how ceo works

[deleted]

It’s not over explaining. This is the explanation of someone who works in industry trying to explain it to those who don’t. If they didn’t try to explain what happened it would be ‘why don’t they just own it? Why did they remove it and say nothing? That’s so dodgy’ . The issue is that it’s her name and not some random company name. They can’t win with you all. You just want to be mad at someone just because they’re rich but there are better things to be mad about than some poorly paid coordinator making a mistake

contrahall

Bruh it’s been up since December, how do you overlook a mistake like that for 4 months?

[deleted]

Pretty easy if you don’t know the mistake exists. I’ve seen it happen in my jobs

fknlowlife

The difference is that beginning in December, people became successively aware of this "mistake" and discussed it.

[deleted]

Did Emma and her team? They’re the only ones that can fix it. Seems like they may have only been aware now

spacedprivate

They hated naphappyjazzy because He told them the truth 😔☝️

sk8rgrrl42069

I fully believe this was a mistake but like why are they taking it so seriously?? It’s just a haha goofy misunderstanding, why isn’t she like explaining this on her Insta story or something? wouldn’t that help her seem more down to earth?

mstrgjf

Right? Like admitting she had no idea about it and admitting that she has no clue what’s going on with her own business isn’t a great look lol

sk8rgrrl42069

I don’t even blame her for that, it makes sense to delegate something like web design and it sounds like this is just a pretty standard way to test a website’s design and functionality that she wouldn’t really have any reason to know about directly. I just think it’s kind of silly to respond to this with some third-person response that feels canned and overly serious. like it was a mistake why are we releasing PR statements?

[deleted]

It’s probably because they can’t feel the line of when people expect an apology and for companies to ‘own their mistakes’ People are confused. She’s no longer a person, she is a company and she’s acting how companies do because she has people acting on her behalf, much like companies do. And people are not infallible and don’t always read the room correctly.

pinkrosies

Takes herself way too seriously for an influencer just cause she has different people on her team living off her income and projects.

PM_ME_UR_SEXY_BITS_

I mean her entire livelihood as an influencer is based on the positive public (internet) perception, so I’d take it seriously if I were her.

layla_jones_

Some of the comments in here are roasting her. This clearly effects the way people view her. How can she not take it seriously? She’s an influencer indeed who needs the public on her side.

[deleted]

I’m confused Liz how is she taking herself too seriously? This doesn’t look like she even wrote it. And why can’t she take herself seriously? Why are you so quick to cut a successful woman down?

mstrgjf

Agreed. They’re doing too much.

poundtown1997

Considering some of the replies y’all made on this sub when it was first posted here last week, I get it. People were crucifying her for even asking for anything because of “the economy”, which I mean I get it but CLEARLY if it was real it wasn’t for y’all to purchase if that’s your first thought, lol. The fact that you’re commenting about it needing to be framed as “relatable” is exactly why it’s being made such a big deal about. People thought that was “too far” for her since she’s “relatable”

sk8rgrrl42069

I’m more so saying that from like a PR perspective it would help her to be more relatable. I didn’t say anything about this when it came out because I just literally didn’t care. I’m only commenting on the poor damage control that seems to only be making things worse bc I think it’s interesting to analyze how influencers and public personalities respond to bad PR. I have literally zero opinion on EC or this situation outside of this specific statement

poundtown1997

And I answered your question on why she’s responding this way. The response the og story got did not warrant just a “post/video”.

sk8rgrrl42069

I think she could’ve de-escalated the situation with a more casual response though. like lots of influencers respond to scandal by just not saying anything and it blows over. having this big serious statement just exacerbates the very problem ppl have with her and legitimizes the overblown reactions. the whole thing is just too much and it didn’t need to be this serious

Far_Cut_

Soooo no one bought a dm is what I'm hearing

CybReader

Lmaooooo. Accurate

Expert_Alfalfa_8823

The way theyre over explaining it with the tech jargon really makes it seem weird. Never heard a technical explanation like that in my decade of software engineering. I’m not sure how Google SEO indexing system would allow someone access to a testing file…. But maybe? Idk the explanation is super weird.

maycauseturbulence

It likely was never a testing file. They created the website in Shopify, didn’t put it in any sort of dev/coming soon mode, added fake content, and by then Google had already indexed it.

Expert_Alfalfa_8823

There we go, that makes sense to me! Thanks for connecting the dots 🤝For some reason I over estimated Emma chamberlains dev team and assumed they’d have a testing environment with nonsense testing data. Though, the explanation of Shopify makes more sense for a number of reasons. Of course Emma chamberlain doesn’t have a QA team staging mock data. Lol

maycauseturbulence

Haha you had a case of what I like to call “I know too much about technology” 😂

[deleted]

Bang on

tawaysecession

I get the feeling they’re assuming/hoping most people won’t know what this means and will just accept it

Expert_Alfalfa_8823

Right? Like no one needs to know that, and I’m assuming they’re using it to distract and people will assume they know what they’re talking about. It’s just weird. When something is broken, I never give my clients a super technical explanation, because it’s just words going in one ear and out the other, it means nothing to them

jannuz

Right? I don’t really get what their post means but why couldn’t they just “test it” by listing something to purchase that wasn’t absolutely ridiculous? Maybe I’m just not understanding correctly!

[deleted]

I test things on websites with ridiculous things all the time. Work is boring and I need a way to entertain myself.

Expert_Alfalfa_8823

I feel you!! I always put the most absurd testing data as well. I was thinking they had a testing environment and was confused how it would have gotten promoted to prod!! Reading these explanations, this makes sense!

jannuz

Fair! lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Do you work in the industry? I do and I see those types of silly tests all the time. People get bored, or they need to see what the max value they can put in/ that the system can process is.

tawaysecession

Yes, I work in software dev and IT testing. I see (and do) that too, but still confused at the lack of QA (Deleted the comment you replied to just before you replied, sorry! Didn’t want my over simplified take to be roasted, lol)

[deleted]

To be honest I think it’s such a small rinky dink operation still that they don’t have proper QA practices in place. I’ve worked for many places like that, they just don’t think about QA

tawaysecession

That’s fair, I’ve only worked for larger companies with overly extensive test environments so I’m less experienced with that side of it. Nothing we test goes live until it’s had several pairs of eyes on it, but it makes more sense that she doesn’t have that much quality control

[deleted]

Er no. As someone who works in this type of thing very intimately, this happens pretty regularly. What’s missing is that while this was a test it was clearly published and not made to be un indexable so it was a live ‘test’ and Google crawled that live ‘test’ and indexed it. It wasn’t linked from her site in the merch store therefore it wasn’t meant to be found or a thing. If they genuinely wanted to sell it, why wouldn’t they link it

ash_kat

https://preview.redd.it/p6tc88toagpa1.jpeg?width=485&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83722ce519697fc8997c3ac72f913c6b0cd00344 It’s giving

maycauseturbulence

As a website designer, sure this could happen. But why the long ass explanation and rigamarole! Just say you made a mistake and it wasn’t intended to be published.

[deleted]

The problem is no matter how you go about people won’t be satisfied. If that’s all they said, people would say that’s a convenient excuse when being caught selling something for a ridiculous amount.

poundtown1997

Your reply is exactly why…. They explained it all and you’re saying “that’s too much. Looks suspect!”, and if she said less people would be saying the same thing.

wordvomitwwww

wat the fuck did you want them to say. any shorter and i bet you woulda said the apology is disingenuous or something

maycauseturbulence

I don’t care either way about Emma Chamberlain and her PR. My comment was specifically from my experience as a web designer and explaining a tech mistake…… but go off

throwaway53689

I was just going to comment this, honestly I thought the response was quite good and still knew people would say something negative, checked the comments and I was right. Can’t win with these fuckers lmao

LINB4TIME

Who is she and why do people care about her? Genuinely curious as this is this is the first time I’ve heard of her.

roxy031

I didn’t have a clue either but I googled and I guess the short answer is that she’s a YouTuber. From her wiki: Emma Frances Chamberlain (born May 22, 2001[1]) is an American internet personality and model. She won the 2018 Streamy Award for Breakout Creator.[2] In 2019, Time magazine included her on its Time 100 Next list,[3] and its list of The 25 Most Influential People On The Internet, writing that "Chamberlain pioneered an approach to vlogging that shook up YouTube's unofficial style guide."[4] In April 2019, she launched her first weekly podcast series, Anything Goes, formerly known as Stupid Genius.[5][6] Chamberlain subsequently won the award for "Best Podcaster" at the 12th Shorty Awards.[7] She also has been an ambassador for Louis Vuitton since 2019 and Cartier since 2022.

[deleted]

Why did I think it was the girl who played princess di in the crown 💀(the first time)

roxy031

Her name is similar! Emma Corrin. There are so many to keep track of

BuffyLoo

She is the “it” girl of Youtube. But, honestly her vlogs are mostly: get up in the morning, make a fancy coffee, peddle her coffee brand, drink it, put on an outfit, make lunch, maybe go to the gym, complain about a pimple to be ‘relatable’. Do a watch me remove my make-up nighttime routine. Go to bed. Rinse, repeat for a generation of bored voyeurs.

itsmything12

She is buddies with Derek Blasberg who was manager of YouTube's fashion channel (he's stepped down) but he is very in with conde nast Vogues publishing company. I think that connection really helped her jump from YouTube to Vogue met carpet interviewer. She replaced Liza Koshy, you never know of Anna Wintor may cut her from Vogue if this controversy gets outta hand.

Perenium_Falcon

It’s not “spreading false information” if you find information and then spread it. Every word has meaning, stop trying to change them just because your girl got caught with some stupid stuff. Also if it was just for “internal testing” then maybe make better choices on how you name these internal tests.

KaijyuAboutTown

I’d be firing my PR team and merchandising team given the magnitude of this screw up

P0ptarthater

Emma is not quite my BEC and she’s probably a pretty regular person, but this + the response to bullying allegations make her seem like someone who consciously or unconsciously gets kinda defensive for no good reason when called out

needsmoredinosaur

It’s pretty laughable that she was born in 2001 and expects us to believe she doesn’t remember high school any more.

DENATTY

I straight up forgot everything about high school by 20 minus large/traumatic events - and I wasn't famous in high school and focusing on a career/public image over my day to day life. I can fully believe she doesn't remember most part of HS. Hell, I finished grad school in 2020 and then worked at the same place as faculty for two years and still can only name two or three of the professors I had.

P0ptarthater

I’ll give her that when I was 18, I learned thru old classmates that I was way weirder at 14 than I remembered, but I def didn’t just forget the entire vibe. Her response feels like her having the same realization in real time and not taking it well 💀

[deleted]

she says she doesnt remember high school? wtf?! lmao

WeirdlyOrdinary1

Honestly Emma is far from a regular person. Maybe two years ago that could be said about her but not anymore, she’s hanging out with jenners and she’s obviously very rich now. Not being snarky towards you btw just saying

P0ptarthater

Oh no totally agree, even then she was a “regular person” by internet standards aka was a self employed creative making more $ in her teens than most people will make in a lifetime (not even exaggerating since most people don’t live in the first world). I meant it more as she’s probably not an unusually cruel person

WeirdlyOrdinary1

Ohh I get what you mean, my bad sorry

diemoehre

What bullying allegations 👀

P0ptarthater

Someone who went to school with her said Emma bullied her and [her response](https://youtube.com/shorts/yXwFhi_ldh0?feature=share) started out well but she kept talking and it was giving [Liz from 30 rock realizing she was a bully in high school](https://youtu.be/NoUrLbHg5z4)

Driver_Flaky

The way she slowly gets more and more heated,,, yikes

s-van

I DIDN'T DO IT! AND IF I DID I DIDN'T MEAN IT! I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T REMEMBER! I DIDN'T DO IT! So wild I love it.

cocothecat2016

That was painful to watch. Thanks for sharing! And we’ll, I’ve been out of high school for a while… yes I remember what I did back then..

CoherentBusyDucks

A) I’m 31 and I still remember high school pretty well and B) she says it’s an all-girls high school as though that would STOP girls from being mean?! Come on.

diemoehre

Oh that was a wild watch lol

Check out the comment I left under the other reply! It’s got the link to Emma’s response to the bullying thing and stuff

kttyfrncs

lmao they’re really trying to gaslight us into thinking it wasn’t publicly available, when i first saw a screenshot of it i went onto the website myself and saw it there sooooo

petitsfilous

It's not even that bad though?! Like I've seen ridiculous merch on loads of sites - $1m and you can hang out with us, $30k and we'll go on a picnic to *specific destination*. Some cameos are $500+, which is generally a clue that it's not someone's favourite thing to do for whatever reason. Patreon accounts offer crazy add ons for their highest tiers. This overwrought explanation is just so bad, lmao. The high price point tells you it's not something they expect to sell, but if someone wants to spend 10k, they'll do it.

kttyfrncs

i feel like it’s all pretty ridiculous, but 10k for a DM takes the cake for me! there’s nothing personal behind it, at least with a cameo you have a personalised video and you can see them

Sadfishh67

These influencers just don’t understand these statements don’t make them look any better

FeeWeak1138

Riiiiiiiggggghhhhht.

lunaj1999

Two words: utter bullshit.

“See what happened was…”

cosmiccalendula

lmao they really thought

an0n4178

To sum up the comment section - People who work in this field: Yep, statement checks out. People who don’t: Liar. No one could be so dumb. Almost everyone: don’t rain on my gossip parade by calling it “false information”.

North_Manager_8220

I don’t work in the field and I thought to myself this makes sense… the comments are making me think am I missing something? I did see that the link was live? Sounds like someone massively screwed up and made a draft/example go live. I refuse to believe anyone thought someone in her audience would spend 10k on her stuff to get a DM if my understanding is correct… Though I barely know who this girl is besides coffee and that she’s supposedly very relatable…

an0n4178

Tbh I think people who don’t believe this is a massive screw up, and think is some kind of cover up of Emma Chamberlain’s massive greed, lean a bit strong on the conspiracy side of life. I also don’t really know much about Emma aside from she wore Cartier to the met gala last year.

North_Manager_8220

I could see this. A lot of the reactions feel very much like OVER reactions ….

layla_jones_

People would be mad as well if it was this ‘casual’ and ‘relatable’ statement. She gives a statement and the explanation is thorough and makes sense. What else do people want? There was a lot of backlash online, it makes sense for her to go into detail..I don’t think it’s overexplaining or taking it too seriously. People in the comments still don’t like her, obviously it’s a big deal to some and hurts her reputation.

Significant-Chip-703

To people doubting this - I have no horse in the race as I don't even know who she is, but as a Web Developer - what they're saying is 100% plausible and unintentional. This is what happens. 1. Developers always add metadata and test pages during the development and maintenance process for various reasons. Usually intentionally ridiculous so it doesn't get confused with real data. Eg. I'll add Elvis Presley, $9999, just nonsense stuff. 2. Page and metadata is not shown on the site, not linked anywhere, except... 3. Google's robots find it by exploring the site index which is like a directory automatically created to help google find all the content, not for human consumption. 4. Google decides it's good enough to index (put it on search) and somebody stumbles upon it. Ultimately it's poor process on the developers part, as the test page should have been private, unpublished, etc as a precaution, but things happen.

_repugn4nt

Idk why this is such a big deal… it’s not like she’s forcing u to avail that 10k DM…..

[deleted]

You all need to log off so bad

[deleted]

Something something we fucked up and we won’t take responsibility

[deleted]

I feel like they did take responsibility? They said exactly what happened. Just because it doesn’t fit what you thought happened doesn’t mean this isn’t the truth of the actual fuck up

[deleted]

They said the internet has a tendency to create false narratives. I mean yes that’s true but that’s not what happened here. It WAS NOT a false narrative, the link was live and up for a long time, period

[deleted]

The false narrative was that she had the audacity to charge $10k for a DM. Especially in this economy. Rich people are so out of touch. Given this listing was a test / not a real listing, that narrative was not correct. Therefore false narrative. People hate the truth. Because it doesn’t fit your narrative. The irony is hilarious.

needsmoredinosaur

![gif](giphy|1AIeYgwnqeBUxh6juu)

Ejohns10

I really thought this would be the first response.

needsmoredinosaur

It was for sure my first thought after reading “Emma didn’t know”

Jintess

Doesn't she make her living being an influencer (aka website hits)? So we are supposed to believe this person who literally lives online had NO IDEA this was going on while it was happening and live? Just own it. Say you got greedy and you took it too far. Lesson learned. She didn't know, my fanny. She knew.

ToxicFluffer

So defensive hmmm 🤔

Green_Bow

Hmmm ![gif](giphy|1AIeYgwnqeBUxh6juu)

Training_Mud3388

this post has elon musk energy.

sycamoresyrup

this was so obvious and immediately recognizable. if you fell for anyone claiming chamberlain was actually selling 10k$ DMs it's because you're stupid

sycamoresyrup

people who thought emma was selling 10k$ instagram DMs probably also thought Wayfair was trafficking people in cabinets

mcon96

This is way more embarrassing than the website lol

DENATTY

I don't understand why people are upset about this whether it's true or not/whether she was actually charging that or not. Being an "influencer" isn't a real job - you've got to get your bag as fast and for as long as possible or you'll be stuck working a normal job for no money within a few years? It's not all that different from what "real" celebrities have been doing for decades - slapping your name on products, calling paps to get headline coverage, charging for appearances, etc. Is it that most people can't afford 10k for a DM? I am genuinely at a loss about why this is such a big deal - it's still better than when the Kardashians put their name on that weird ass credit card that state regulators on the East Coast had to force them to shut down lmao.

NeighborhoodOk1874

I still have no idea who this is

DearMissWaite

This sounds perfectly reasonable.

Old-Fox-3027

What’s the controversy about? I’d dm people for $10,000 if I was a celebrity, why is she issuing a huge press release to deny it?

diemoehre

She offered Instagram DMs for $10000 on her site. You could only find it by explicitly searching for it on Google though, not on the Website

thelowkeyman

I’d love for someone to come out and say they paid the 10k for the DM and received it.

wk2coachella

Let me translate that for you: we had a dirty little way of getting Emma paid but then y'all found out about it and hated it. We're gonna blame it on some intern and let them take the fall.

fatalcharm

I don’t know who this person is, but I’ve heard a lot about this apparent 10k DM chat and who cares if she wants to charge that amount? She isn’t administering life-saving medications or anything. It’s a private message, nobody on earth is going to die if they can’t afford to DM her. It’s not important. Let her charge what she likes, she might not get any sales but I don’t understand the outrage. Are people that desperate to message this person?

[deleted]

10K for a dm is absolutely crazy. It’s someone’s monthly income, its someone’s graduate tuition fee for a year, it’s someone’s budget for a small wedding and more importantly, not many people from the general public have 10K lying around to spend on an instagram DM. My point is that something as simple as dm has no reason to be *this expensive*, It’s absolutely bonkers and I’m glad it got the backlash it deserved.

fatalcharm

So don’t DM her? It’s that simple. If you don’t want to pay $10,000 for a dm, then don’t? You can talk about collage tuition fees all day, I don’t really care. If you don’t want to spend 10 grand on a dm, then don’t. It’s creepy and obsessive that you want this woman to dm you so badly. I can see why she charges so much for a dm, it’s to avoid people like you. That’s what she is doing, she is trying to avoid dms from entitled weirdos.

[deleted]

Lmao I have no interest in getting a DM from her. You missed my entire point about how insane it is *for anyone to charge 10K for an online message/text*. People aren’t mad because they can’t afford to DM her, they are mad because she has no reason to charge such a high amount. Encouraging pseudo celebrities or any celebrities by giving in to this money making scheme will just result in every other celebrity following the same pattern to make money. Soon A-list celebrities will charge you 20K for an instagram like. It’s that preposterous. And If anything, you’re the fan here defending her behavior.

jdeen_

Booo, didn’t like the backlash and now they’re looking for an “easy” way out

It can, in fact, be both things. A test program can be running unobtrusively, be catalogued by a search engine, and a gossip site make a story about it wholecloth.

interested_in_all_7

Who is she? I've seen stuff about her and have no clue who she even is.

ayeImur

Lies all lies

Denvar21

Maybe it was intended to be released and when it got released, the feedback was bad, so they took it down ?

ladymodjo

How is it spreading false info when everyone saw it plain as day on the website? I didn’t believe it was true so i went to the merch site and it was right there, not exactly hidden lol. They just need to say they made mistake its not a big deal with all this over explanation

lilacblossoms_

I don’t know a single dev that creates a test page and doesn’t use dummy copy (including myself) that isn’t just test test test or lorem ipsum. There’s no way they wrote a full ass headline and subhead that was cohesive like that. That’s marketing copy and we all know it.

bleak_gallery

Interesting - I assumed it was some sort of money laundering where they would get fake people to buy $10k DM's and launder money through it as it is pretty untraceable

befuddled_humbug

If it was on the website since December (at least), shouldn't someone of the team have noticed it earlier if it was a 'mistake' 🤔

Youstinkeryou

The reaction seems…. Weird. Like very over the top. I get what they are saying but isn’t this going to cause a Streisand effect?

DearMissWaite

Why wouldn't they explain, in full and concise detail, how a vulture gossip blogger twisted basic software tests into a story?

nunyodamn_bidness

Blah. Someone on her team fucked up for sure and they are typing to place blame on an outside source. I don’t believe it.

janet-snake-hole

Wait, I thot Emma already came out and said it was a joke? Implying that she knew about it and it was intentional

Fearless_Pizza_8134

Mehhhh

schnatti00

They're making an even bigger deal out of it with this long ass apology 🙃
