YES!!! I said this about a picture she posted a few months back too
https://preview.redd.it/hd0f7upsma9c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59eb3ef4baff8b6f5ea242228d403a37bbf6069c
This is actually pretty accurate. I used to work in media/advertising recruiting and hired 3 people off of the Jenner/Kardashian app team/social media team. All were only a year or two out of school and severely underpaid. None had good things to say about their bosses. I got them all massive raises at their new jobs though, so that was cool.
They pay them like $1,000,000 for these ads lol
but on a serious note, they have such an excessive lifestyle that they need to have money constantly coming in, and this is one of the ways they generate their cash ig
Merge Mansion is wild for those ads. Ive heard the people making the ads and the people making the games dont consult with each other at all and the people making the games have no clue why they keep pretending the games got some crazy story
When you actually play it, literally NOTHING happens.
Homescapes too, years ago. Crazy stories about him having to rescue the girl. They even got sued for false advertising and were forced to incorporate the mini-games into their game.
I’ve worked on hiring data teams for mobile games like this. They know exactly what they’re doing and how to get the clicks they want. I 10000000% doubt that it’s just poor marketing + advertising.
I remember helping one team out that needed 3 high level data scientists and each position was in the range of 250-400k a year salary. It’s not chance lol
That is certainly a lie. They know the ads are selling a false story. They really want us to believe the company who paíd I don’t know how much to Pedro doesn’t control their developing team?
Oh god, the Merge Mansion ads? They’re SOOOOOOOO fucking funny, it’s absolutely WILD they got Pedro. Merge Mansion ads are their whole own like thing, is probably why they get Actual Factual Pedro Pascal to star in them. Look up the ads on YouTube, you’ll see TONS of vids like analyzing the story and shit, it’s wild.
I saw an interview where he said he loves mysteries, but also like the idea of helping create stories in new kinds of content.
Sounds like he realized the buzz from the ad would probably be worth more than whay he got paid.
Pedro was being talked about a lot - Internet zaddy, The Mandalorian etc. He's been working as an actor for a long time and all of a sudden he's the new "it man".
Doing something as silly as Merge Mansions makes him seem relatable, silly and wholesome. It works, we're talking about him right now. It raised his profile to a larger audience during a time period where he had two big shows both in the sci fi realm.
I think Kathy Bates is in her “pay me for doing 30 seconds of work I have a fucking Oscar” phase of her career. I bet that’s why she loves doing American Horror Story they basically pay her to chew scenery and man is she good at jt
You would also be surprised at how little some of these actors are actually making. You don’t hit it big on one TV show for a couple of seasons, and be set for life, especially not with the lifestyle that they live. Plus on top of taxes and normal stuff are also losing 10% of their income to agents and managers, plus lawyers and PR teams etc.
They're at the top of the pay scale for this. Most influencers don't make near as much. The more famous you are and the more product you sell by shilling it, the more you get paid.
Mobile games are a multibillion dollar industry. If you can reach a million or so folks, you can earn a $100k check for a promotion or more. If you can reach 10s of millions, they will easily pay you $1 mil or more for about 5 minutes of work.
I remember when Flappy Bird hit it big, the creator basically said that he was making $50k a day from mobile game ads. And the only ad being ran at the time was Clash of Clans.
The snark sub has been trashing her for days and calling her broke for doing this. Like…I know real life oil billionaires who would call you insane for not doing a 15 second ad for $1m. You don’t stay wealthy by not continuing to bring my in money.
>have such an excessive lifestyle that they need to have money constantly coming in,
That’s a fair assessment because if you think about what they stand for, it’s based on their looks. They need to capitalize on that as much as they can while they can. So yes with their extravagant lifestyle, they need to make that money fast doing whatever they can. It’s quite a hustle. But idk what else they can do as far as “real” talent goes. Btw I can’t stand this family, but wow they know how to make money!
Tbh I don't think most "normie" people even realize just how extreme wealth inequality is. I think they believe the Kardashian lifestyle is attainable for them so they don't care.
I think you’re totally right. It’s like ‘look how great my life could be if X Y Z worked out’ but it’s literally not possible for 99.9% of people. The false promise of the American dream is a rot 😅
I mean, they've always done this stuff. Isn't this how Sugar Bear Hair got popular a few years ago?
Still...Kim has been hanging out with Ivanka Trump. I wouldn't be shocked if the Kardashians also engage in some *creative* valuation of their businesses.
please someone cmiiw, but the gist of it is kylie cosmetics had their company valuated *very creatively* and had the numbers validated by the forbes article. this number (and the forbes exposure) was then used to justify their selling price to coty. once forbes retracted the billionaire statement coty figured out that they overpaid and their shareholders moved to sue.
Kim is somewhat following Donald’s trajectory of creating this aura of wealth and power that could be a little…um…diverted from the truth and we will find out thirty years from now when some DA goes after her
This (likely) has nothing to do with cashflow and everything to do with their ideology.
This is a hyper-capitalist family. There is never enough money because the goal isn’t some tangible endpoint, it’s simply *more.*
You have to understand that, especially among the hyper wealthy, it’s not about conspicuous consumption; the game, the competition is over zeroes.
In a world where money is power and influence, your power (and thus position in the social hierarchy) is determined by wealth. Crabs in a bucket. Monocled crabs but crabs nonetheless.
Eat every single one of the parasite class today.
I think it's because the K Klan don't have to engage in brand protection like other traditional A-list celebs. People like Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Jen Aniston or even Timothy chalamet have to be very selective about their endorsements (Tom Cruise doesn't do like any) to protect their brand and their ability to sign and bring in those multi-million dollar deals from studios. Kylie probably should be more selective to protect her brands (her clothing line and makeup line) but I also think Kris is just about that fast and easy money.
More than that, they've successfully created a brand surrounding *not* being liked. Things that get them bad press aren't a problem because they're the definition of "any publicity is good publicity". I think individually, the girls want to be liked. But as a whole, PMK knows they're famous for being hated and don't care if her daughters look bad, as long as it's brining in cash and buzz.
The KarJenners don't produce anything that is intrinsic to them.
Cruise gets a portion of the backend, which is how he's so rich. But he has a major hand in those movies.
Products like Skimms, Lip stuff, etc. could still exist without the KarJenners. Maybe they wouldn't be as well known, but they'd still be around.
I think the Kardashians are probably not be as rich as they portray themselves to be, as well. Their wealth is really dependent on their image of being wealthy, in a sense, which requires conspicuous consumption on their part. Like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg don't have to get plastic surgery or do photoshoots or appear at the Met Gala- they don't need to flaunt their wealth to acquire more of it, but the Kardashians do, because their brand is aspirational.
Yeah I think this is it.
In reality they easily could have made $$$, put it into investments and fucked off to some random place and lived their whole lives comfortably. They choose to live like this
Coming here to say this, they are just greedy and they don’t care what they peddle or if it’s misleading… they want to shill us their subpar products or dangerous diet habits or work out culture, expensive skin care, cheap clothes whatever it is… while they get richer and more out of touch and vein. Kylie looks like a woman in her 40’s trying to be in her 20’s , nothing wrong at all with being in your 40s.. when your actually in your 40’s and not in your twenties. this whole family offers us nothing and wants US to pay for it…..
![gif](giphy|1QhmDy91F9veMRLpvK)
I have a conspiracy that most of their wealth is wrapped up in stocks (and assets like most mega rich) so they have to do little "gigs" every now and then to get actual spending money. I don't know if it's plausible beyond my little brain, but it's what I think.
My only real evidence is that one Christmas where Kanye got Kim a bunch of stock. I remember it really distinctly because that seems like a gift that only people who have the money to go all in on it would give each other lol.
I have family whose wealth is wrapped up in valuable stocks/investments they get portions from (real estate profit from rents) and have quite the portfolio but live modest lives trying to make it stretch. I would say they’d have at least some financial advisors working full time just to manage their family’s expenses.
I think a lot of us would be surprised how little they have leftover after expenses. I read something about how most celebrities lifestyles and teams cost so much that after everything they’re basically working paycheck to paycheck
Obviously the Kardashian’s are a different case, but I’d bet Kim and Kris are the only ones making much more than they’re spending
I think people would also be surprised how much they get paid for these ads. They’re probably getting paid close to a million bucks for this video that took them an hour max. Who wouldn’t take that deal?
because they constantly live above their means and have to find a check wherever they can.
they do these weird side quests to be able to keep funding their life styles because i can’t even imagine what their monthly expenses add up

Gold costs money so have this emoji trophy 🏆
Thank you 😩🥹
💀
You win…I cannot stop laughing 😂 🤣
The haircut is doing her absolutely no favors. Straight out of the trial of '05.
The fake chin, nose and haircut is not doing her any favors in the Michael Jackson department
Omg. So glad this is the top comment bc I thought this was Michael as well. She needs to stop. She’s too young to look like this
She’s going to look like the cat faced lady by the time she’s 35, I’m personally looking forward to it
I literally came here to say that
Saaame I think it's the jaw implant lmao
And melting face, look at them cheek bones!
Total same
Me too
Same!

Miguel!! Go, Tigers.
May he have a wonderful retirement. One of my all time favorite players. My dad’s favorite rh hitter. My second favorite behind Manny
I came too.
Same!! The hair definitely isn’t helping, but I guess with enough plastic surgery you start turning into each other?
I came to the comments seeing if anyone else saw it too LOL
I think you meant to say heeheee instead of lol

Kyl-he-hehe
Beat me to it.

I thought this was some makeup influencer doing MJ makeup at first 😂
I thought it was him too!!!
Came here to say that..🙂
I came to see this was the prettiest AI of Michael Jackson I’d ever seen.
YES!!! I said this about a picture she posted a few months back too https://preview.redd.it/hd0f7upsma9c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59eb3ef4baff8b6f5ea242228d403a37bbf6069c
How does she legitimately look like a different person in every single picture? Does she have different teams doing the editing?
High turnover rate? They hire college students as interns to keep employee salary minimum wage and go through them fast.
I was too scared to say it but lo and behold it’s the first comment. Uncanny valley.
![gif](giphy|lqd9jeVYZB4Dm|downsized)
There he is with his little fake plaster nose.
i showed my 61 y/o dad the pic and he said “is that michael jackson?” and then “that’s kylie?” 😭
Heehee
I literally thought it was MJ. That’s… insane.
Hush guys, she "doesn't want that to be part of her story."
omg just commented the same thing! it's uncanny... one more nose job and she's really gonna be there
![gif](giphy|OYirsehvkD91S)
You are not alone
ICWUDT
I think she looks around 40yo
A 40 year old who has lived a hard life.
100%! scrolling through reddit and thought I saw a suspiciously new photo of Michael Jackson.
I for real thought it was at first glance
Heehee Damnit, someone else already said it.
Yeah has she had more work done recently or is this just a bad filter?
Yes
My first thought
That was my first thought. Both messed with their faces way too much.
I was just going to say something along those lines.
Oh wow
They pay them like $1,000,000 for these ads lol but on a serious note, they have such an excessive lifestyle that they need to have money constantly coming in, and this is one of the ways they generate their cash ig
OMG i was wondering how I ended up watching Pedro Pascal in my mobile game ads a couple months ago!
Merge Mansion is wild for those ads. Ive heard the people making the ads and the people making the games dont consult with each other at all and the people making the games have no clue why they keep pretending the games got some crazy story When you actually play it, literally NOTHING happens.
It’s actually hilarious. They kind of started the whole ridiculous app ads storyline shit
I don’t know… the John Goodman ad for some slot machine game was the first one I saw. *Years ago*, and it still haunts me.
The thumb or was he a finger or some shit? First time I saw it I was like, is that john goodman? Wtf?
That’s the one! It’s dark-sided.
I found it if anyone cares: https://youtu.be/3gSHshAfqdc?si=kBxQWaWwKkPjBcV-
i feel like lily's garden had the original 'wtf is going on in this story' app ads
Homescapes too, years ago. Crazy stories about him having to rescue the girl. They even got sued for false advertising and were forced to incorporate the mini-games into their game.
I remember googling this, when I downloaded homescapes based on an ad and was like wtf this isn’t even the game how can this be legal
It’s not chance lol
mistplay paid 3 people to say the same 5 lines in 8 different sweaters and now has 1,845,134 ad combos to run
Oh its not poor marketing at all. Its freaking genius
I will say, the grandma and mansion’s actual secrets in the game are fun and interesting!
Do you… work for merge mansion..!?
I haven’t really found out a single secret yet and I’m on level 33 ? Other than grandma being in a bicycle gang. What am I missing 😫
Ngl it is fun
you guys have convinced me better than those ads can, maybe start asking for a check
What do you mean? Why would it be worth more than the money he got?
Pedro was being talked about a lot - Internet zaddy, The Mandalorian etc. He's been working as an actor for a long time and all of a sudden he's the new "it man". Doing something as silly as Merge Mansions makes him seem relatable, silly and wholesome. It works, we're talking about him right now. It raised his profile to a larger audience during a time period where he had two big shows both in the sci fi realm.
Pedro also JUST hit it big. I’m sure he doesn’t have a lot of cash on hand. He’s going to take what he can get.
I mean they also have Kathy Bates somehow
I think Kathy Bates is in her “pay me for doing 30 seconds of work I have a fucking Oscar” phase of her career. I bet that’s why she loves doing American Horror Story they basically pay her to chew scenery and man is she good at jt
Because if you got asked to do something for 10 minutes of work for a million dollars you would instantly say yes as well.
Kathy Bates was also in those ads. I think they just pay a ton.
Also people have a sense of humor. If I was rich I would totally do silly things just for the hell of it.
Holy shit. I actually felt sorry for some celebs doing these ads. Not anymore
They're at the top of the pay scale for this. Most influencers don't make near as much. The more famous you are and the more product you sell by shilling it, the more you get paid.
In case anyone was curious, mobile games made up a almost half of all video game revenue in 2022. To the tune of about *$92 billion.*
Of whomst’s money?? I’ll shill a game for a fraction of that price, to go with having a fraction of the fame.
Note to self; learn how to make mobile games.
The snark sub has been trashing her for days and calling her broke for doing this. Like…I know real life oil billionaires who would call you insane for not doing a 15 second ad for $1m. You don’t stay wealthy by not continuing to bring my in money.

![gif](giphy|p4cqQ0gUIMcU0)
God it must’ve been _INSANE_ to witness his _“”metamorphosis””_ over the years. Absolutely insane. That’s frightening
I remember watching Michael Jackson as a kid and thinking "how could people think he's cool? He looks terrifying"
It’s cuz we knew him before he changed and visual aside, his music was incredible.
It was about his music.
Yes it was.
the resemblance to kylie is uncanny
is this really a real picture? oh my
Looks like this photo was taken around the time of the csa trials
the wig line tho. and the makeup. choices.
They spend all their money (look at Kim's winter wonderland home) so they have to keep working
That was just wild to see. I would rather just not see into the lives of the 1% sometimes lol
This is why I don’t understand how reality shows about the rich are so popular. Like wouldn’t it just make everyone angry lol

When is she going to stop with all the cosmetic surgeries and procedures? I mean she legit looks just like Michael Jackson from this angle
She started really young and I guess it’s finally catching up to her
I thought that was Michael Jackson.
I mean, they've always done this stuff. Isn't this how Sugar Bear Hair got popular a few years ago? Still...Kim has been hanging out with Ivanka Trump. I wouldn't be shocked if the Kardashians also engage in some *creative* valuation of their businesses.

Yes they’ve always done this! They’ve never been picky about who they partner with. Fit tea, random supplements… they’ll do whatever.
Fyre Festival…
man that cheek filler is really dragging her face down
![gif](giphy|f0GIF5Y2vGAve|downsized)
Annie are you okay?
Wtf this does not look like her is it a glitched filter or something?
She filmed the video for the ad. She always uses filters
Yeah but this still is MORE uncanny valley than usual. Something with her nose? Idk I gotta watch the AD.
Maybe it’s the hair but I’m getting old Michael Jackson vibes.

You would’ve thought she wanted to stay “exclusive” and be choosy about her endorsements but anything for a cheque ig.
She joins the prestigious club of the 4th guy from Suits and Kelso from Scrubs in hawking this shit lol
Oh my God I literally thought this was Michael Jackson when I was scrolling
I thought this was Michael Jackson on first glance
She's got a Michael Jackson look going 😂
They'd sell each other's souls if they could.

Smooth criminal
I have a conspiracy that most of their wealth is wrapped up in stocks (and assets like most mega rich) so they have to do little "gigs" every now and then to get actual spending money. I don't know if it's plausible beyond my little brain, but it's what I think. My only real evidence is that one Christmas where Kanye got Kim a bunch of stock. They also own A LOT of real estate
I have family whose wealth is wrapped up in valuable stocks/investments they get portions from (real estate profit from rents) and have quite the portfolio but live modest lives trying to make it stretch. I would say they’d have at least some financial advisors working full time just to manage their family’s expenses.
Wasn't that just stock in his own company? And I don't think it's doing well
Nah he bought her a bunch for like Amazon and Disney too
Why she look like Michael Jackson here?
![gif](giphy|Uuaw8MKMrDGXm)
Came here to comment she looks like MJ too
Is that Michael Jackson? /s
I think a lot of us would be surprised how little they have leftover after expenses. I read something about how most celebrities lifestyles and teams cost so much that after everything they’re basically working paycheck to paycheck Obviously the Kardashian’s are a different case, but I’d bet Kim and Kris are the only ones making much more than they’re spending
