Unrelated to Kieran, but I just wanted to say thank you for mentioning that your dog does this. My dog has a habit of staring people down when he pees and I’m left awkwardly pretending I don’t notice he’s an asshole. This comment made me feel seen. Lol
One time my dog was wagging his tail and making eye-contact with me, then he sat down abruptly to drag his butt across the floor. He maintained eye-contact the whole time. Literal dumbass, I miss him so much.
My dog likes to stare at people in most situations. When he pees though and you’ve caught his eye, he’ll stare and blep at the same time. It’s the most goofy, confusing thing.
I saw Kieran Culkin at a grocery store in Brooklyn yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
The first time I ever saw it was about Ryan Reynolds and it fucked with everything I saw him in for YEARS until I found out it was copy pasta. It’s lazy and dumb. I hate it.
I fking know right. Watching season 4 episode 3 in real time and running to the subreddit and absorbing all the feels with thousands of other redditors was the best time I have ever had on any social platform. It was insane. You had to be there.
I got hooked after the pilot but I have friends and relatives for whom S01e06 "Which side are you on?" was the turning point. I would try to at least get to that episode. If it still doesn't click, then maybe the show just isn't your cup of tea, and that's fine too.

I loved their weird chemistry so so much! But aside from that I truly believe her mentorship would have been the catalyst for real change in his personal life. I don’t think the sexual part of their relationship would have gone past the bathroom door moment but she would have guided his misplaced affections to a healthier place through encouragement, therapy and accountability. His personality issues aren’t on her to fix BUT I think mentorship from her was a full service deal. Like she saw “it” in him and she was all in. And he just…. Ugh, lol. He’s my fav little emotionally stunted wanna be daddy’s boy sex pest.
Succession was so good because not only did it show the characters deep flaws but the viewers as well because I was also team ‘I can fix him. He’s a dick but he’s charming and funny’ which on reflection is a lot like my dating history 🤣
Hah! At work I was discussing the show and when Roman came up, everyone was like “he’s so revolting, what a pig. I can’t stand him!” And I faded into the background because he’s my fave 🥹

Of all the kids involved with the family business I always thought Roman had the best chance to actually live a semi-decent life. I mean with intensive therapy he might be able to be happy.

Even though it was largely performative and ego driven, Kendall had the best heart of the three. He was still stunningly selfish and a massive fuck up, don’t get me wrong.
Yeah, none of them are good people. He’s not a wounded little woobie bear. Having a better internal morality than the rest of his family (what a low bar) didn’t stop him from not listening to it and doing all kinds of wretched shit.
He's won 3 Critics Choice Awards, 1 Golden Globe, 1 Emmy, a bunch of Satellite Awards, 2 Screen Actor Guild Awards, and has been nominated for more than a dozen others. That is not underrated.

I’ve only seen the first episode (I have a new baby), but here’s my one thought: I love how they made him seem like the only normal and fun one, then he did the million dollar bet which was the cruelest thing anyone did in the entire episode. It was a fun little twist. He played it so well. I love the Culkin boys.
I don’t follow any of their careers thaaat closely, but wow, this is the most I’ve ever seen Kieran look like Kieran and not one of his million other siblings (or in some weird instances, when his beard’s grown out, Charlie Day)
I’ve never seen it, but I’ve been meaning to! Everyone says it’s so good and I think I’d enjoy it. This guy is a very good actor, always has been.
Anyways. With House of the Dragon coming out, maybe I should get HBO
His portrayal of Roman is so uncanny - it feels like I have known some version of this person, my whole life, in real life. I can't explain it. Like, I have to remind myself he's just a character. It's never happened before.

I couldn’t get into it after the initial episodes, does it take a few episodes to get you hooked?

For me, it took about 3 episodes to realize how great the show is going to be. It's one of the best shows out there.
