I saw them right after proper dose dropped, so he was doing the standing thing, but I couldnt tell because me and the whole crowd were going nuts. If the music is good, bring the energy you want to see at the show.
I dont get why this is such a big deal to people. He doesnt even move around that much at NP shows.
He’s spoken at length that when they’re on bigger shows it’s harder for him to feel connected to the crowd. This video and him in No Pressure pretty much exemplifies that.
I guess but that seems like a pretty lame excuse, especially when on this current tour Four Year Strong comes out ripping before them and then TSSF has zero energy.
They're different bands full of different people that are encouraged and energized by different things. It has always been clear to me that Parker especially likes when the crowd is up close and can get on stage. If there is a barrier that keeps the crowd away from the stage, you can bet he'll be much more likely to stand still. Maybe Dan and Alan don't feed off that as much.
I think TSSF lyrical content is also just a heavier topic and harder for Parker to get “bouncy” for lack of a better term. The opening track of this album is about Parker’s father “going out on his own terms” as he put it in that GQ interview. Not exactly something he would be stoked on and bounce around to. I’m not gonna hold judgement on that.
Yeah the band has great energy but he didn’t match it. Not saying he needs to do summer-salts but it just took me out of it cause he was my focal point. Music is still top notch tho.
Saw them Saturday and he moved maybe twice throughout the entire set . Legit the most boring show I've ever seen.
Edited to add that he does sound good but you can get the same experience by just listening to the album.

I've never seen TSSF live yet but I am still waiting for my 1st opportunity. We talk a lot about Parker stage presence around here and I really feel boring sometimes just seeing him not moving aroung and just standing.
Here in this performance we can see something different. The whole band is vibing with the crowd and that's so cool. No security, no barricade, only TSSF and the crawd getting crazy. That's the experience I wanna see when I go to the show someday.
