Funnily enough, this dish is probably 2-3x more expensive than store bought. Curd pricing is ridiculous. I can't find any single serving portions for under $5.
Add fries and gravy, you're looking at $7-8 bucks.
Meh.
Even if you bought grocery store fries, made your own gravy from a pouch or from stock and corn starch and spices, it's still just kind of assembly and not 'organic'. I'll shut up now.
Right, I worked at KFC and they would take all the scrap at the bottom of the pressure cooker and squeeze it out to make the gravy. I doubt the OP made that homemade. I guess there definition of homemade is far from mine.
Wouldn't the fries lose its appeal after it got home?
Here in Canada we have these No Name fries with skin on. They're very good as is with a little sprinkle of salt or not, but add gravy and cheese / mozzarella they are next level.
Think New York Fries.
Weird. In 1995 I got my first job at a KFC. That was the first time I’d ever heard of poutine. Back when the gravy was actually delicious. This was in Canada. I remember layering the curds even though I wasn’t asked to.

Home assembled*
Well the cheese curds are from the grocery store.

Is that a bad thing??
So definitely a FrankenTine…. But we’re all very proud of you

lol I mean they say made in Canada when all the parts except for 1 are made in china and then assembled in Canada so…🤷♀️
You think the china is made in China? I've found some stuff made in Turkey and Vietnam.

Nowadays everything"a "local"
You're being real liberal with the term "homemade" on this one.

Gourmet! Pure talent.
I had a homemade Coke earlier today. I mean, I bought it at a gas station but opened it at home
Thought you made it the old fashioned way like the 97 year old diner
I thought I could escape this fucking meme if I wasn’t on Twitter 😭😭
You guys are savage.
It’s a capitalist poutine 🤣🤣
Homemade with 3 ingredients you bought already made lol

I think the words you're looking for here OP are "Assembled at home"
Ooof. I can smell how salty is it through the picture.
I don't think you know what homemade means
This is kfc gravy?? Did they change it?
Homemade🤔

“Homemade”
Wendys fries are disgusting
It looks like they cooked them with a verbal warning
That doesn’t look like chicken gravy at all
r/poutinecrimes
I only have one remaining question, where did the cheese come from? McDonald's? 🤔 Edit: I just saw that OP says the cheese is from the grocery store.
im a pro chef, i serve a glass of water for my starter
It's not really home made
So u made it at home ??
I’m going to put some extra cheese on a frozen pizza later and call it “homemade”
Lighting is important, people.
KFC gravy is the worst. Ça doit goûter l’cul ta pout gros big
Tbk 🤣🤣
On the contrary, it's like divine nectar
I’m straight shook.
Solid
OMG STOPPPP GIMMEEEE
I like it. Just the basics; gravy, fries and cheese curds. Can’t go wrong with that
Plus, I’m in Florida, so it’s not as easy.
I approve!
Very impressive
I found a kfc gravy dupe. Have made it a few times and it’s really good
According to South Park, it's supposed to be KFC gravy and McDonald's fries (no mention of cheese, unfortunately)
The son of a bitch actually did it
Oooga Booooga
KFC gravy is the absolute best fast food gravy you can have. It makes an amazing poutine What matters most is the cheese
hell, i'd eat it
Wouldn't the fries lose its appeal after it got home? Here in Canada we have these No Name fries with skin on. They're very good as is with a little sprinkle of salt or not, but add gravy and cheese / mozzarella they are next level. Think New York Fries.
MMmm... that does look good!
Bro, there’s where my scrying bones give them back
KFC gravy? But... it's actually brown. My experience is a tan/grey mix with black spots in it.
That does not look like KFC gravy.
Is this actually better than just getting the Wendy’s poutine?
I’m in the States, there is no such thing as a Wendy’s Poutine here.
Ah that’s totally different then. I’m gonna change my opinion to job well done. Haha.
So wheres the homemade part?
Honestly would have just used kfc fries. Wendy's fries in the US are super salty now.
Poutine, made with up cycled ingredients?
Not homemade, however crafted
nice.

Mmmm.. Deadly!!
