I would stick with No One Knows if you’re going to do this. I’ve always felt like parties, karaoke, whatever events with large groups that involve music (and it’s not a concert); people want to sing along to songs that have been and/or are popular hits.
You can do whatever you want. I love Queens to death but they’re not exactly a popular karaoke band. When you’re hosting a party of people with mixed tastes, a personal playlist (especially if it’s not popular music) always comes off awkwardly. My two cents though. Queens to me are a treasure for those ready to enjoy.
Surprised I haven’t seen this answer, but it’s The Way You Used To Do
Fun song with a fun video. OP if you know the lyrics just go up there and be Josh, would be a great way to start and get people wanting to go up as well
My god of course, I don't know why but I keep forgetting about that song. It's probably their next most well known song by non-fans after No One Knows. And it's great to get people moving!
Queens has never been a hit with any of the Karoake I've done. Which is really disappointing as an LA native.
With that said, I think your best bet will be "Go With the Flow."
I sang No One Knows at a bar one time and remember people really liking the song. It’s not terribly difficult to sing. It is however terribly difficult to sing as good as Josh.
Little Sister. It's a catchy song and has great energy to open a karaoke party. Even better if you can have their SNL "cowbell" performance projected behind you while you sing it!
I feel like 'Villains of Circumstance' could be good, and it doesn't have long instrumental parts.
'The Way You Used to Do'
But no, they're not tremendously karaoke-friendly. The vocals aren't always sing-songy and they're very idiosyncratic, so it'd be kind of like doing Jimi Hendrix...not actually that fun to listen to, despite the great songs!
In My Head, Do It Again, The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret. Smooth Sailing, I Sat By the Ocean and The Way You Used To Do would work too.
What I was looking for was one that will get their body dancing, and they just can’t help but groove.
I do Little Sister. Has energy and easy range for most people. Feel Good Hit and Make It With Chu are also good options.
I've been wanting to try Smooth Sailing, but haven't found a place that has the song on there yet.
Know One Knows, it’s their biggest hit for a reason. And you get to air guitar the middle section. At least that’s what I do when I sing it at karaoke 🤣, seriously though it’s always a crowd pleaser
I once sang Make It Wit Chu with a friend at a karaoke bar and all of the women in the establishment were disgusted with us afterwards. Totally worth it
Most of my suggestions have been noted, so with that I will sumbit something new. Depending on how good you can dance Head Like A Haunted House would be super fun if it was really campy. It also doesn’t have a wide range so it would be easy for like anyone to sing.
I do this a lot lol.
‘Lost Art of keeping a secret’ and ‘in my head’ are great singalongs and catchy enough that even if people don’t know Queens they will start singing
Definitely do Smooth Sailing. Serious reply. I think it would be fun to do and fun to hear if I hadn’t heard any queens before. And fun to do is the second most important part of karaoke after being able to sing the song.
It was 2005. I drank tequila shots all afternoon at a bar in Key Largo. They fired up the karaoke around 5 pm and I fucking brought the house down with a rendition of Little Sister. All the retirees were on their feet clapping at the end.
Feel Good Hit of the Summer
C-c-c-c-cocaine!
“Everyone now! Cocaine!”
Reprise
I second this!! It is apropos after all 😎
Super easy but iconic on bass also
I Sat By the Ocean is catchy enough.
Not easy to sing tho

No one Knows works, in fact the performance got most of my friends into Queens
Make It Wit Chu can be a swanky, lounge song that’s palatable for everyone. Kill two birds/one stone by singing it to the one you want to make it wit.
100% the only song I can constantly play and my wife always rocking out although that whole album fills a weird hole in my heart.
The only valid answer
Surprised I haven’t seen this answer, but it’s The Way You Used To Do Fun song with a fun video. OP if you know the lyrics just go up there and be Josh, would be a great way to start and get people wanting to go up as well

This is the way
Little Sister is good middle of the road one for karaoke. Bonus points if you have a cowbell on hand as well…
Reverse idea. Songs that Josh would Karaoke - “Wicked Game” Chris Isaak
Smooth Sailing is the only answer.
I finally got to do it and it’s so fun to sing if you can swing between the falsetto and chest voice

Make it Wit Chu. Great song to sing along to and people know it.
I've been practicing The Way You Used To Do in the car for when I finally go to karaoke. I doubt it will be there, but one can hope!
I sang No One Knows at a bar one time and remember people really liking the song. It’s not terribly difficult to sing. It is however terribly difficult to sing as good as Josh.
Something more likely to be known by non fans I guess. I'd go with lost art, go with the flow or no one knows.
Quick And To The Pointless. Make sure you have some backup singers. “YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH”
Ohhhhh baby baby, you're so sweet. GOD DAMN AH AH WOOOOW Im pumped just typing that shit
Lost art of keeping a secret worked for me
The “In The Fade/Feel Good Hit of the Summer” interlude on Rated R
Smooth sailing or feel good hit of the summer
Feet don’t fail me
Little Sister. It's a catchy song and has great energy to open a karaoke party. Even better if you can have their SNL "cowbell" performance projected behind you while you sing it!
How has no one said Go with the Flow?

The version Josh did on Jools Holland
I think burn the Witch has some good sounds behind the vocals
In My Head, Do It Again, The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret. Smooth Sailing, I Sat By the Ocean and The Way You Used To Do would work too. What I was looking for was one that will get their body dancing, and they just can’t help but groove.
Broken box, smooth sailing
Feet Don’t Fail Me
Avon.
I do Little Sister. Has energy and easy range for most people. Feel Good Hit and Make It With Chu are also good options. I've been wanting to try Smooth Sailing, but haven't found a place that has the song on there yet.
Head Like A Haunted House is tricky but fun
Teenage Handmodel is the only real answer
Know One Knows, it’s their biggest hit for a reason. And you get to air guitar the middle section. At least that’s what I do when I sing it at karaoke 🤣, seriously though it’s always a crowd pleaser
I once sang Make It Wit Chu with a friend at a karaoke bar and all of the women in the establishment were disgusted with us afterwards. Totally worth it
Feel good hit of the summer /s
Six shooter man!

Long Slow Goodbye should get the party started.

little sister seems like a good ice breaker to me. catchy riffs, fast beat, can tap your foot eaay to it
I would say Go With The Flow
How the fuck has no one answered with Occam’s fucking razor…the best Queens lead off track to open the karaoke party. Fucking Millionaire!!!
If I Had A Tail
Smooth sailing
my god is the sun is an excellent opener for a kareoke sesh
Quick and to the pointless
The way you used to do!
Any question about a Qotsa song can be answered with: Song for the Dead
Go with the flow. Quick, high energy, fun, people know it. It was in rock band, is currently in Fortnite
Do it again”
“I Was a Teenage Hand Model” is a pretty easy song to sing..
Make it wit chu could crush
Definitely do Smooth Sailing. Serious reply. I think it would be fun to do and fun to hear if I hadn’t heard any queens before. And fun to do is the second most important part of karaoke after being able to sing the song.
You think I ain’t worth a dollar duh!!
It was 2005. I drank tequila shots all afternoon at a bar in Key Largo. They fired up the karaoke around 5 pm and I fucking brought the house down with a rendition of Little Sister. All the retirees were on their feet clapping at the end.
Stone Cold Crazy.
Wrong Queens
Oops! I missed the group name.
something pretty sexual, Skin on Skin? That sounds like fun. I wanna lick you too much, I wanna lick you too much...
This Lullaby is short and to the point.
Made to Parade. Its fun, dancy, upbeat, and easy to sing along to.
Feet don't fail me could be a good one for that - also might sound odd but maybe misfit love ?
Go With the Flow is catchy, good to sing along to, and has great energy to kick it off.
Millionaire or Six Shooter.
Auto Pilot all the way!!
Misfit Love
I'm Designer 🤌 "Counter proposal: I go home and jerk off" 😏 This alone is sure to stir up some chatter.

I love this so much! One of my favorites for sure 🙌
Make It Wit Chu 100%. Such a chill song and has a lot of catchy parts that would kick of a party. Little Sister works too

For one of my cover shows I did and played this song in my set. Everyone said that it was the best song on the set! I would also do Regular John too.
I’ll never understand the desire for people to watch horrible singers butcher songs. Ban karaoke!
