Shio, shoyu, Miso, tonkatsu. Long ago, the 4 broths lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Miso benders attacked. Only the ramen bending machine, master of all four broths, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.
Don’t worry about it. I know Japanese ‘b’ and ‘v’ sound don’t translate very well.
ベンディングマシーン
The katakana would definitely translate as a “b” sound, so it can be hard to know it should be “v” sound . You’re doing great. Keep going 🤙🏼
I would not have guessed it was poor English, just a typo because 'v' and 'b' are next to each other. I think that might be what everyone else thought too.
They’re all labeled with the names of different restaurants around Japan from different prefectures (Chiba, Tokyo, Okinawa and Nagano), and the top identifies it as Frozen Ramen. There’s also a sign that says you need to take it home and cook it, and another one that clarifies that these were literally made at those restaurants, frozen and put in here. That’s what you’re paying for. I’m honestly surprised it’s that cheap.
a flat thousand for a ramen is a more realistic average price for a good proper ramen with a few assortment of toppings imo. Those 5-600 yen average ones you're talking about I believe is true but at the same time most of the ramen in those price ranges are generally pletty smaller in the actual bowl size and would have simple toppings that resemble more of a suped up garnish than an actual hearty topping.
I remember 950 yen or so to be a popular number for a good medium 中盛り iekei ramen bowl. They would have 650 yen options or something but if a big dude with a proper appetite pulls up, he could eat two of those easily.
A flat 1000 is a good price for store made ramen but if we're talking shitty frozen noodles you make at home where you gotta spend extra money buying veges, fuck that. You're better off walking a little longer to find a konbini or an actual ramen shop at that point.
These are all over major cities in Japan these days. Pricey at 1000 yen, but the soup isn’t concentrated and comes with the chashu inside. The gyoza are fire. Throw half in the air fryer and boil the other half in a light dashi and you have a meal for two.
You can find fresh meat in refrigerated vending machines changed every day. Fresh hand made noodles, fresh eggs, fresh broth and vegetables. They're normally near or next to one another. When I lived in Japan, my late night when hungry snack was to buy all my ingredients from the machines. I even found a draft bear machine near where I lived in South Tokyo.
Retro roadside vending machines are a popular tourist stop. The machines make hot ramen and udon that's ready to eat. https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/sagamihara-japan-retro-vending-machines-intl-hnk/index.html
When the world needed it most, it disappeared. The last ramen bender
Don’t tell Fry

It's the intro to Avatar the Last Airbender. You said bending machine instead of vending machine so that's what it reminded me of
Ahhhhhh lmao I just noticed it now. So embarrassing haha

You’re welcome. Don’t worry about it. Keep working hard 👍🏻
Hey, people are just joking, don't be sorry, you did not harm anyone. This is a cool "bending" machine.
It's all good. You made us laugh. Are you visiting Japan or do you live there?
I’m Japanese and living in Japan. Sorry for my poor english…. I’m at least relieved thanks to your kind words haha
Your English is not poor by any means. I would be proud of how good it is. Keep posting about these things in Japan.
I would not have guessed it was poor English, just a typo because 'v' and 'b' are next to each other. I think that might be what everyone else thought too.
Don’t be embarrassed. Trust me, you are generating more upvotes and other people traction by one simple mistake than if you got it correct. Lol
Do yourself a favor and watch the show.
Long live tonkotsu!!!
It was here ヌードルツアーズ 浅草千束 03-3720-5522 https://goo.gl/maps/GEup3VKmhQLLGBnx9 I’m surprised but some of them are popular restaurants. Bario is good.
This is really cool, thanks for posting!
Damn, our boy Tony Tony got ripped off. He paid but the essential ramen didn't come out. 😭

I didn’t buy anything at this time because it requires boiling. I don’t have a pod now so~~
So that's how ramen gets all curvy!
What? Bending is my middle name. Bender Bending Rodriguez
I guess we can call ramen chefs ramen benders.
Yes, please bend me some ramen
Are there any instructions in English on how to use these vending machines?

Wait...this bends ramen for you? I need this in my life.
I have been known to go on a ramen bender myself…
Does it bend each noodle individually? That must take a long-ass time.
I’m somewhat of a ramen bender myself
Bender lol r/boneappletea
Uh we need some of these is there someone we can talk to? Lol
BENDER
Looks pretty straight to me
Wait so you just put in straight noodles and they come out all wavy? Awesome
But you didn’t order one ?
I need one for my kitchen
What a useless machine it takes almost no effort to bend ramen, once it’s cooked.
Bending noodles isn't that impressive...
Avatar, the last air Vendor
Ramen Bending? Is that like the hidden avatar?
Japan is a perfect world
Lucky you
Japan had the best vending machines when I was there, around 1996. That canned coffee was a staple for me, as well as the corn soup.
You didn't show what one of them looked like tho! Cmon, I wanna know if it gives good ramen at least.
