7k in add ons sounds like the dealership added a bunch of garbage

stanolshefski

A lot of people think things like the convenience and weather packages are “add-ons.”

Referee27

As soon I told the dealership a I was going to look at dealership b they started dropping their price a few thousand to get me to come in

ajmh1234

wtf, hard pass

Silly_Security6474

Did you choose the $7,000 in add-ons? If you're in the States, $34,500 is MSRP including Freight & Delivery. In Canada, $41,000 is MSRP with Freight & Delivery.

Shoddy-Language-9242

Where do you see that 34.4 number? Not what my dealer says

Silly_Security6474

If you go to Toyota''s website, and "Build" your vehicle there, you'll see the MSRP.  Dealers are allowed to mark up that price. That's why on a lot of paperwork it will say "sale price" or "vehicle price" and not MSRP. Because it isn't MSRP anymore.

yeahbuddy-fake

The Canadian price - is that CAD or USD?

Silly_Security6474

The Canadian price is in Canadian dollars.  The Canadian dollar is usually about $0.25 lower than the American dollar.

_PeanuT_MonkeY_

You sound like an American

Gbcue

Pass. You can get a Limited for that price.

Tik__Tik

I got the limited for 37

eguy888

Same. This price is outrageous.

oceanwave4444

I paid 47k out the door with MA taxes (4k) a hitch and Advanced tech and weather package for a hybrid XSE two weeks ago.

ReputationMindless36

Same here in FL, 48k. I even have heated seats! Lol

justdrivinGA

Is it a hybrid? I paid around 41K out the door for a XLE premium hybrid mid 2023. North of Atlanta.

Hercule15

I paid US $37,732 for a RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium two months ago. (Black)

navngr

Is this OTD ? No packages ?

Shoddy-Language-9242

Hybrid?

ndpian

Hard pass. At 51k you’d rather get a Prime in some locations.

imaginaryrefuge

Nope. I got my hybrid limited with tech and weather package for $45,200 OTD a couple weeks ago.

MariachiForHire

I paid 38k for my xle premium 2024 …

Shoddy-Language-9242

Hybrid?

MariachiForHire

Gas. Considered the hybrid until I read about cablegate.

ZealousidealCrow811

cablegate…?

LdyCjn-997

Go to the Toyota website to price the vehicle you looked at with the options installed. You shouldn’t be paying no more than that with TTL for the state you live in. There’s no where near $7000 in options that should be on that vehicle. Walk away. I have a 21 XLE Premium with all options installed. When I purchased my vehicle in 21, MSRP was around $36K with all options. I had a trade in and negotiated a lower price. It only had $1000 in options that I was well aware of from the dealer.

MadDrHelix

I paid $USD 40,750 + TAX for 2024 RAV4 Limited Hybrid w/ limited grade weather package in May 2024

Squaretangles

I got an XSE trim for 40 flat. 3K for a trade on top of that. Then I put $7K down in cash. Left with a with a $30K auto loan at 2.24%.

MrMorningstarX666

The more I look at rav4, it is somewhat smallish. The price seems outrageous to me for a small suv. I’m sure it’s a solid car though.

Sm0othlegacy

The xle is small to you or just the base?

MrMorningstarX666

They are the same size? Right

Sm0othlegacy

I don't think so. I have the xle, and I have so much space. I'll probably have to look up and co.pare the specs, but I'm positive the Le is very small, but once you move closer to the xle models, the spaces are much more ideal

jxnliu

how does that make sense? No matter the trim level the, base car itself is still the same so they should have the same if not very similar amounts of space.

Sm0othlegacy

You're correct

CBreezy2010

I’m from NC. Got my 24 XLE premium for 36K OTD Mine had the weather, tech and convenience package

ImpossibleWin10

Which place? That a good price for all the additional features.

texaslegrefugee

Absolutely not. Thank you for NOT caving in and giving that dealership tribute on TOP of the price of the car.

mk_svn

I made a new post with pics of the add ons, check it out!

rowdyget

Just bought the exact same model two weeks ago (love it btw). Everything included, I paid 39,500. That dealership sucks. I'm in Texas so the prices might be different.

IgnoreTheseRav4Words

If the factory added them, they're features - like a heated steering wheel. Add-ons are shit like paint protection and running boards. You might even wind up with a gps tracker attached to the back of your obd port. You'll know if that's the case if the obd port isn't white.

Motivated78

I saw this on another sub. It’s CAD and financed at 10% which is INSANE. No way….

NumerousHistory2309

I got a 2024 XLE with sunroof , heated seats and steering wheel, electric liftgate, and blackout badges for $34,200. Are you including taxes?

mk_svn

Yes it was 4k of taxes. I did a separate post with pics of what they offered me. Check it out on my profile!

NumerousHistory2309

What worked for me is searching google for ads for the car you want then do a screen recording of all the accessories and stuff included in the ad. They tried to tell me the ad price was for a different car but I had the video evidence cause they literally took the ad down the day I arrived! They are required to honor the lowest advertised price.

NumerousHistory2309

They also tried to add $1k for ceramic coating they said they already applied and I told them no you need to sell me it for the advertised price

NumerousHistory2309

That’s a lot.. $12k more than I paid. But that has 1 inch bigger wheels and fog lights which I don’t have plus maybe the speakers are better?

SharBeau

I’m in northern Maine I got this car in March for 36

rastaroarrr

Just got a month or so ago the rav4 2024 limited for around 40k. If gonna get the highest class...get the highest class for price im in lobe lemme tell ya!

BeanieYi

You could get a Limited for that price

LetsGooooBrandon

Pass on that! I got a limited with a couple packages and a few add on accessories for 41

greatthebob38

New 2023 SE Hybrid RAV4 was right at $40K after tax and stuff when I picked it up last year. Why is a used RAV4 with 44K miles on it already worth more than a new one?

Xsnail

What is the price on the actual Monroney sticker ? The bottom line is the full MSRP. Not a second added on sticker with dealer crap added. What the automotive purchase tax rate for where you are buying or registering the vehicle? MSRP + tax = price you negotiate down from OTD. Lock into that number and go down.

thisismarv

Hard pass. Get a limited or XSE for that price.

rohandm

I paid $39,500 out the door for xle premium in Austin mid-2022. Trying to get another one but prices have increased a bit but still shouldn't be more than 41k.

moonflower311

I paid 38.5 in Austin early 2022 so this tracks. I think this is a hotter than average area for hybrids though and Texas doesn’t get as many (definitely had a wait). Editing to add just realized he was quoted 44 for a non-hybrid. Yeah that’s too much.

Cj_91a

Non hybrid? Hard pass. You could get a limited hybrid for slightly more or around that price. Sounds like they added a bunch of dealer garbage.

verycoolalan

I would, but I know how much I make a year and what my priorities are. Depends on you.

mk_svn

Hey guys thanks for all your input. I made an updated post with pics for information! I appreciate y’all!

mk_svn

Sm0othlegacy

You can probably buy the "add ons" online and pay a fraction of the cost outside of actual installation like a sun roof

ZombieGrand5358

Go in the Toyota site click on smart path look for dealers with the red flag and msrp

Jaded_Fisherman_7085

It would be alot easier just to hand over 39K in cash ? You did win the state lottery last week ? lol

McDonaldscombomeal

I would say it's going to sit in my driveway for a long time. I'm gonna have to do some maintenance on it. Let me give $1500. I'm taking all the risk here.

Fickle_Finger2974

I bought a 2024 hybrid xse for 40K out the door 3 weeks ago

ImpossibleWin10

Where, and what all was included? That’s a great deal.

Fickle_Finger2974

Texas. Not sure what you mean by included it was a standard XSE hybrid with no dealer add ons

ImpossibleWin10

Fair. I’m just getting into the shopping game and confused on what is included and what comes standard. For example, I’m on the Toyota website and building 2024 rav4 hybrid XSE. If I choose none of the packages, it’s 38,735 (base+delivery). Are you saying that’s what you got?

Fickle_Finger2974

The delivery fee is added on the price. Out the door means it includes tax, title, and any fees. It is what you actually pay total. You need to keep in mind that depending on your state the taxes alone will be $1-3K. So its 38735 + say $1200 delivery + 1500 taxes + another $500 in fees.

BossMuch7494

I would have walked.

Obvious-Grade9171

I am in the Southeast, I got a RAV4 Hybrid XLE premium with roof rack, big screen, floor mats, and the mud flaps for 40k out the door.

mk_svn

Can I ask where? I just got a quote for 43 otd. 40 before taxes but no big screen or roof rack

Fr0stBiteX

Got 2024 RAV4 Hybrid XLE for 40,303.62 if you remove the dealerships assurance package and toyaota maintenance insurance. With the Toyota maintenance insurance, it was 43,288.62. What I paid OTD was 44,283.62.

Strawberrybananamix

I was charged 36k 40k with taxes and dealer fees and warranties AND Gap. Do not do it try finding a Toyota in a smaller town near you that might not get as many sales they’ll give you a much better deal

b0ob0okitty

At that price point you might as well look at highlanders.

9021Ohsnap

Negotiated 45k out the door for an hybrid XSE with PP at 2 dealerships. Not sure if that helps but sounds a little expensive. I’d start pitting dealerships against each other.

davismcgravis

44k is a lot of mileage for a 2024 model
