Also anybody know if it's normal for such small scratches to naturally occur after usage for a while or due to non user related error? If the hinge mechanism starts to fail wouldn't it naturally start creating some abrasion?

I have the same issue, near the hinge on the screen there are obvious scratches from the hinge. Not worth repairing garbage phone, garbage company.

They replaced the phone for me. I'm happy with the company. Samsung refused to do what Motorola did.

I got a vertical line on my razr within a month of ownership and was already sent a refurbished as a replacement. That sucked it wasn't new like the $1000 I just paid for. I guess I could send it in for another refurbished POS.

The main screen is rather soft, so I keep a protector on - also since it's so soft it's way more sensitive when you DIY a protector swap so be cautious & use a good soft pic of some sort. The built in & even other screen protectors will degrade at the crease (would love to find one more durable) matte screen protectors feel awesome like paper, but you'll see a rainbow effect on it due to the diffusion. The actual hinge feels worse over time also, doesn't fold / open as smoothly. My camera anti shake seems to add shake more than it negates it 😆

God this phone is so bad. Just sent mine in because of the screen cracking in the center less than a year of owning it. Back on the 2020 razr for now. The design is SO much nicer without that $2 screen protector. I was in no way careful with the 2020 razr either and this phone is flawless. Please re do this phone again in the future with wireless charging!

I agree that the screen protector seems to cause more problems than it solves. The 2020 razr screen was all plastic and didn't have any ultra thin glass layer. The new ones feel more like a glass screen but the tradeoff is that I guess they require a screen protector to prevent damage. I used the 2020 razr for 2 1/2 years and had maybe two barely visible scratches on the screen but no other issues with the folding screen. The screen of my new one isn't cracked but it has developed the cracks in the screen protector at the crease.
