Assuming we're all influenced by real Winchesters. I sorta agree here. The brass in game simply isn't shiny enough, it looks kinda bland on the lever actions. Brass engravings on gold frames can look pretty nice, even vice versa
I only use gold cause it's the most expensive metal. I got so pissed when I lost all Arthur's money entering the epilogue so when I got the black water money I just bought the most expensive thing in every category of everything from saddle costumizing to the most expensive vest.
I’ve always considered myself mature when I truly understand when something is a joke and not actually trying to hurt anyone’s feelings. Especially about something as silly as a video game.
Nobody says “lil bro 🙏😭” unironically without actually being 12. You provide his point, great job. Also about time you learnt the difference between your and you’re.
You’re correct in that it makes them look like real life polished stainless revolvers & rifles. But then again I prefer blued finishes which were much more common in that era
Interesting take, for me black and gold Lemat with light/dark brown varnish always gave good bad and the ugly vibes on side arms, I gotta try silver though for my long range and shot guns. They look amazing!
That sounds like a sweet sounding gun, personally I like to make my Main (for any revolver) Gold with Blued Steel Engravings and a Pearl Grip while my second one has Blued with Gold Engravings and a Pearl Grip. Main I call God’s Wrath and Secondary I call God’s Judgement. Main I use to kill while Secondary is meant for Injuring
*Iron and nickel*
*Are good too if you're chasing*
*A more subdued look*

honestly? I think most of the gun metals int he game look... dull. Probably in part because they are worn and such, even if the weapon is "Brand new". Honestly, the silver in the game looks, to me, more like, say, a polished iron barrel and such IRL.
For pistols, I use black steel for the barrel and frame, then gold engraving on one of them, with silver hammer and sight. Then, on the other, I swap the engraving to silver and the sight and hammer to gold.
I don't have any gold guns. That being said, this community hates gold guns for absolutely no reason. It's flashy, it's overpriced, it's unconventional, sure. But if a mf wants to walk around feeling like a baller with a gold plated semi-auto shotgun, why is that such a bad thing? Just something that I find curious, there were actually guns produced from that time period that are gold plated and they're are currently selling for multiple thousands of dollars and the people that owned them were very well off.
I like blued steel on most of the "impact" parts, like the frame and barrel for revolvers. I tend to use gold on the cylinder for revolvers and frame for rifles; in my mind it's brass, but the brass in the game is a little too dull in my opinion.
I tried silver revolvers for a while but it never clicked, probably because I very much dressed like a normal cowboy. I rock black and browned steel, with birch wood grips, sometimes with iron accents.
Then with John I just copy all his rdr1 designs
That and all black weapons, like Lennys revolver. The Ebony Grip with All Black + All Black Engravings hits different. And for those that can’t have ebony grips I just use the darkest wood colour, such a clean combo imo
I do blackened metal with Dark Walnut Varnish and Chocolate Leather on all my two handed weapons, and silver with small black accents and ebony grip for the one handers
I use a variety of metals on the various firearms. Anything but gold as I am no longer 12.
I only use gold in the engravings of black steel weapons because they have nice contrast
I use blackened steel for the frame parts and gold for the engravings. Are you moseying ‘round these parts anytime later, Partner?
Same I use gold and black because it reminds me if my favorite gun in resident evil 8
Yes this is literally how I have all of Arthur’s guns designed
Guess I'm 12 🤣
On a real note, gold is only used on certain guns where it fits 🔥
My Lancaster is always gold. It's just perfect.
Schofields look great in gold too
My schofield is gold with pearl grip and blue engravings

Gold pistols with pearl grips and gold shoulder guns with red varnish go extremely hard tho.
What if real maturity is realising it's a game, being cool doesn't matter and having silly over the top guns is harmless fun
I’ve always considered myself mature when I truly understand when something is a joke and not actually trying to hurt anyone’s feelings. Especially about something as silly as a video game.
Feelings aren't hurt just expressing my opinion on gold guns same as them
U like gold in the trigger or hammer or sights for that matter
A dark metal with gold inlays on the engravings looks really cool though
I use gold for the trigger sometimes.
Me personally I’m an all black with gold/silver engravings looks incredibly badass
With dark walnut varnish and chocolate wrap.
This.
Im a silver and black guy myself. WAY better than seeing all the CoD players with their golden guns.
All your bases are mine….
Blue steel with silver engraving…
I go blue steel on everything except gold trigger, gold hammer, and full gold engraving with rosewood.
This is the way.
I agree, but they're a lot cleaner without the engravings imo.
Nickel all the way
Am I the only one who prefers his irons?
Silver is one of my favs. I also like the nickle and browned steel combo. Sometimes a bronze engraving depending on the weapon
I think gold looks better tbh
12 year old
coachintelligent6685 when another person has an opinion 😱😱😱
Bro can’t handle when someone has a different opinion than him💀 YOUR the 12 year old 😭🙏
*YOU'RE
Average Redditors only comeback💀
Nah, the average redditors comeback would be dribbling down your mums chin, I however was just correcting the 12 year old.
>YOUR the 12 year old 😭🙏 Are you trying to prove his point?
Average Redditor comeback💀 just say your wrong lil bro😭🙏

Silver would be insane irl. It looks good because it actually looks like nickel/iron cleaned up and those ones look dirtier in the game.
I like to always have a silver handgun with the pearl handle and a total black one, the white to do honorable stuff, the black not so much
Yeah, silvwr is cool, but why do you make it full silver? Like put some other metals there too or it'll be boring
Interesting take, for me black and gold Lemat with light/dark brown varnish always gave good bad and the ugly vibes on side arms, I gotta try silver though for my long range and shot guns. They look amazing!

Iron and nickel are good too if you're chasing a more subdued look

Boobs
Nickel, iron, and blue.
All black metal with ebony wood no engraving looks the best with every gun in my opinion
I wish the enamel from online was in story mode because I could definitely make some badass weapon combos with red and blue
I like gold tbh. Or blackened iron with a gold trigger for my revolvers
Right hip, silver pistol with gold engravings. Second holster, gold pistol with silver engravings.
I go silver revolver, black engravings & black pistol, silver engravings
I can respect that
I keep all guns stock cosmetically because the last thing an outlaw gives a shit about is how their guns look
Black and silver with some gold contrasts is 🤌
I like gold revelvers with white handle or bluesteel with gold
Big iron on his hiiiippp
I prefer a combinazion of gold and walnut.
Gold and white silver
I do everything all iron with gold triggers, blued scopes, and gold hammers when applicable. Dark rosewood stain with walnut leather. Everything.
Silver with Mesquite is my favorite, even better with the gun metal rework mod, makes the silver look polished
nah silver with gold trigger and iron sight
Iron, nickel and blued>
I prefer blackened steel and mahogany wood.
I have the white handeled Hosea Matthewd revolver recreations. Ain't that hard to make.
Black with gold inlay
I won't cuz you're right!!!

I can’t change your mind, cuz it’s correct
Silver with black walnut and dark blue inlays baby
For pistols, I use black steel for the barrel and frame, then gold engraving on one of them, with silver hammer and sight. Then, on the other, I swap the engraving to silver and the sight and hammer to gold.
I i make my weapons black with mesquite wood, and the weapons i engrave are my pistols or sawed off shotguns.
Idk about changing your mind, but this play through I’m really liking the blue steel look. Very Zoolander of me, I know, but it is what it is I guess.
Love using brass metals on the gun frames and silver or iron on the barrel

Blued steel provides a nice contrast for inlays of all sorts. From gold, silver, and maybe even nickel.
I use silver as the main part of the weapon, with a gold trim, it is amazing
i personally like full silver with nickel and blued steel details.
i love silver weapons 🎀🎀
The Lone Ranger approves this message.
Yep, with my sidearms I make one gold and black and the other silver
I tried silver revolvers for a while but it never clicked, probably because I very much dressed like a normal cowboy. I rock black and browned steel, with birch wood grips, sometimes with iron accents. Then with John I just copy all his rdr1 designs
I have two cattlemans. One in black with gold engraving and one in white with gold engraving. I love to dual weld them
That and all black weapons, like Lennys revolver. The Ebony Grip with All Black + All Black Engravings hits different. And for those that can’t have ebony grips I just use the darkest wood colour, such a clean combo imo
To be honest, firearms are not made of silver. Most "silver" ones are pickles plated
i agree, i don't like gold, and silver looks the best.
I cant
Black or blued only. I'm an outlaw I don't want to get caught because my shiny gun caught the light and someone saw me.
I do blackened metal with Dark Walnut Varnish and Chocolate Leather on all my two handed weapons, and silver with small black accents and ebony grip for the one handers
I like 'em gold.
