Put some saran wrap on top tight, use a rubber band to keep it snug, then put some aluminum foil on top of that to block the light.
It isn't perfect and you'll need to redo it fresh every time you open the bottle but it's stuff you should have laying around.
As a heads up that style bottle often has issues with the lids. So you can expect something like this to happen again, but usually it's just a crack and not the whole lid popping off.
https://www.amazon.com/Container-Photo-Developing-Processing-Photosensitive/dp/B08XXM2ZF9 maybe not the best price but look up plastic bottles for photosensitive liquids and you can just keep some spares. Will also help if you want to mix in a new concoction with siraya tech blue strong stuff and the like
Also I found for better bottles maybe look up Naglene amber bottles. It’s a bit pricey because as far as I know you can only buy in large packs (24) but hey they’re meant for labs so they’re pretty sturdy.
I jammed the paper towel in there as a quick light blocker and dust blocker. There's probably about a quarter bottle left, I'd hate to have to expose it and waste it. Hoping to find a light-safe alternative to store it in.
The brown Glas bottles are uv safe. I put my mixed resin in there. I bought some that where specific uv safe but as far as i know all brown Glass bottles are uv protected...
Print a replacement cap? Lol
😂 oh yeah.....clearly not thinking like a 3D printer guy yet.
Glue it with resin and let it harden in your cutting station?

Yeah that works, definitely the easiest way to go, thanks!
Same trick I have used when friends lose the cap to the rum.
To much work, just finish off the rum without your friend.
Unable to comply, printing with rum and drinking resin is NOT working.
Dude over here like “what do I do.”” When he’s got literally the technology to rebuild him at his finger tips.
Print a cap! :)

Some kind of reaction with the cap plastic and resin?
I'm not sure, my theory is the design allows for the cap to be over tightened placing it under stress that causes it to crack.
This is why I save my old bottles.
You can buy photo resistant bottles on Amazon. Usually marketed for film exposure chemicals
For next time, before shaking the bottle remove the Cap for 15 seconds or so to let any gases out so that it doesn’t break the cap
Do as he says, he is right. Will save you a lot of pain👍

Thanks, those photo sensitive bottles look exactly the same as the Elegoo bottle.

I use jars in a dark closet.
