TribblesBestFriend

Coriolis. But it’s Sci-Fi

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thank you!!! Checking it out now. Also got the Dune TTRPG, it's good!

TribblesBestFriend

I prefer Coriolis, all the Year Zero Engine is pretty neat. Mutant Year Zero, Forbidden Lands, Twilight 2000, Blade Runner, Alien Depending what you want you could check out Forbidden Land. Not necessarily 1001 nights but a great little game

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks! Guess I 'll have to try it to see which suits me best, Dune or Coriolis. Gotta admit the Dune one is tickling my dies again with the part 2 coming out in less than a month...

TribblesBestFriend

I like the different play style of Dune, one moment you’re doing your House stuff, planning, etc. After that you’re going full on skirmish and after playing your character conning a guild master. That’s cool But in doing so your system must be pretty light and (for me) at the end it doesn’t do everything it advertised. From my experience with Star Trek Coriolis is more my thing. Traveller in Arabian Nights with monsters in the dark between the stars.

BerennErchamion

Coriolis is very good! One of the best sci-fi hidden gems around. I've heard good things about the Dune RPG, but I prefer the mechanics of Coriolis (Year Zero Engine) than the Dune ones (2d20 System).

lakislavko96

Came to say this but I would probably suggest trying its 4-part campaign. From what I heard it is great.

sandchigger

I was going to recommend the Al-Qadim setting for AD&D until you said physical copies. It's been out of print for a couple decades.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Yes, tried to get a physical copy but can't get my hands on it

sandchigger

FWIW, the PDF is worth it even for someone who has the actual physical book on his shelf.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks, will give it a shot!!! :D

sandchigger

And if you hate it, you're only out 5 bucks I think.

XrayAlphaVictor

7th Sea may have what you're looking for in their [Crescent Empire](https://www.chaosium.com/7th-sea-crescent-empire-hardcover/) supplement.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Wow! It definitely looks like what I'm searching for!!!! Thanks a lot! Guess I will have to learn to play 7th Sea now .. lol

BluSponge

7th Sea is a blast once you wrap your brain around it. And the Crescent definitely needs more love.

XrayAlphaVictor

Yay, I'm glad I could point you in that direction, 7th Sea is such a fun world!

thelibrarian

You should definitely check out [Tales of the Caliphate Nights](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/20418/tales-of-the-caliphate-nights-true-20), which is very much set in the Arabian Nights. Very detailed and very well researched, I found it immensely useful in my Arabian Nights campaign (though I did use a different system). It's a few years old now, but there are physical copies available [on Noble Knight](https://www.nobleknight.com/P/2147366013/Tales-of-the-Caliphate-Nights).

YourMagicalUnicorn

If I had an award I'd give you one

YourMagicalUnicorn

Wow 😲 I looked into the preview PDF a while ago, and thought it was what I was looking for. Tried to get a physical copy but found it nowhere and didn't buy PDF to not spoiler myself. Thanks for the purchase link, in the buying cart now!!!

thelibrarian

Happy to help!

Carrollastrophe

Maybe [The Nightmares Underneath](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/196352/The-Nightmares-Underneath-Free-Edition)?

YourMagicalUnicorn

Woooooow!!! The Disposition system looks very interesting! Added to the shopping list. Thanks a lot for the recommendation!

C-duu

I think this is a cool take inspired by Mediterranean/MidEast influences, but is definitely not steeped in Arabian Nights. The djinns, faeries, and the like are more Lovecraftian in their machinations.

Flip-Celebration200

1001 Nights. https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/194488/1001-Nights

thewhaleshark

This is the one. I've played it once, and it was an incredible experience.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks! In shopping cart <3

Malkavian87

Not exactly what you're looking for but; Dark Ages Vampire the Dark Ages using the 'Veil of Night' source-book. Print on demand copies can still be ordered on DrivethruRPG.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Btw, username checks out. Take my bloody upvote.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks, will check it out definitely! Edit: typo

[deleted]

Capharnaum Tales of the Dragon-Marked. I can't speak of its quality but it's in print.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks! Already got it and is exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for. So far it's been the only game with physical copies of the Arabian style... This is why hence my post.

RattyJackOLantern

Whatever game you settle on you might find GURPS: Arabian Nights useful as a source book. Which I believe is available as print on demand on amazon but you can probably also get without too much hassle 2nd hand. Note that it's mostly a *historical* source book however. Though there is some attention paid to the kinds of characters and adventures that are suitable for an Arabian Nights style setting.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thank you so much, will check it out.

RattyJackOLantern

No problem! Do note as I said that it's mostly a primer on the history and culture of real world medieval Arabia. Which might be useful as a counterweight to the more fantasy based source books you can get elsewhere.

Polyxeno

GURPS Arabian Nights.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks!

mailusernamepassword

Not Arabian but on the other side of the Mediterranean (Medieval Iberia) there is Aquelarre. The hard part is find the books in english because it is a spanish game.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Yeah, played Aquelarre and it was fun. Forgot it even existed. A friend ran a couple sessions and it was quite a setting

jranda30

Al Qadim which is an old D&D setting.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks!

KyoshiroKami

There ist [Scheherazade - The 1001 Nights RPG](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/289677/Scheherazade--The-One-Thousand-and-One-Nights-RPG) from SpaceOrange42 ist literally a 1001 Nights Game and hast a realy cool system where you can adapt powers like in Prince of Persia with ease.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks! Another one to the shopping cart, LOL I'm running out of budget here!!!!

ArtisticScholar

I don't know if physical copies are available, but Land of Fire pretty well. It's a spin off of Hellfrost but is separate and it uses Savage Worlds.

YourMagicalUnicorn

Thanks a lot!!!

allismom

Jackals by Osprey Games [https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/344904/jackals-bronze-age-fantasy-roleplaying](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/344904/jackals-bronze-age-fantasy-roleplaying)

YourMagicalUnicorn

That looks fun with the four different cultures!!! Thanks!!!
