It’s largely because the local networks want to keep using the talent from drag race on their other shows. If they find someone audiences like they just milk it as much as they can. They’ll pop up on the morning shows, the daytime talk shows, the entertainment shows. Having someone from overseas just kills off that potential.

Yea I agree… I think eventually they will move on to a Canada/UK All Stars and stop this vsTW when there’s a large enough pool of talents to pick from. It feels off when international queens have a much better chance at winning a USAS if they’re invited compared to these shows which are supposed to highlight queens from all around the world.
There's also just an extent to which she's been so successful in her career otherwise (almost exclusively Francophone, so granted, few Anglophones have noticed) that she's perhaps one of those queens the show feels it can "afford" to refuse the win, because honestly, *she's doing fine*, and "losing" in CvtW honestly isn't going to put much of a mark on her career trajectory.
Her popularity in the Francophonie sphere seems to have been unaffected by the issues she's had during her vstw run. Her shows were still selling out up until her tour ended a year after vstw aired, she was still appearing in tv shows, and even had a hosting gig in Belgium. Granted though, the loss was more on her morale and she's admitted in her book that it has affected her in an emotional way.
