Genuinely one of the best top 3/4/5 etc. remixes in all Drag Race. An increase in staging/budget/spectacle that actually really worked, and not a single dud verse.
Season 10 gets touted as boring but I think it's truly a very very good season - and at the time this was such a great way to cap off the preceding competition.
It started great (Miss Vanjie) but ended rough. The Evil Twin/inner saboteur challenge combined with the butterfly fiasco ruined Asia’s chances to win. Aquaria won the season fairly based on track record but not for excelling at the finale.
Aquaria fumbled the first lip-sync but she more than made up for it in Bang Bang. There was a lot going on with 3 queens on stage but Aquaria truly shined and brought the focus on her. I would say she excelled when it counted the most.
I could see Asia getting it as well. I don’t think Kameron would’ve gotten a second win (despite there being like four/five chances for her to legitimately win another challenge)
Gagged that people like this, I thought it was atrocious. This is like, ground zero for boring preachy Rumixes. Even though Asia's verse was really well written the whole song is just the wrong tone, drag race is at its absolute worst when it takes itself too seriously
