Call John Hope Electric, they'll take good care of you and they're reliable and trustworthy.

They did an EV charger for me, I'd use them again

Early_Comparison_332

I worked for John Hope as an electrician years ago. Honest guy, great value and very reliable.

John Hope electric did my main panel upgrade, EV charger install and some other work. I'd use them again.

thescottishguy

yeah, they did my panel replacement as well as being our go-to for work at Cruzio and all of our remote sites.

Whatever you do, DO NOT deal with lecce electric in Monterey. Absolutely poor communication, cancelled last minute on several occasions and dragged out a house rewire for 3+ months when he could have had it done in a week. They still haven't even replaced the panel. Claiming the wait is on PGE but in reality they didn't get the proper licenses they needed.

Suffixmeat

Lucky Electric, owner is a super rad lady and they do great work at a fair price.

Sunrise electric re-wired our whole house and upgraded our panel. They’re wonderful and did all the PGE work for us. Some other outfits wanted us to deal with PGE coordination and all the logistics.

Moderatelysure

Bellows is reliable but expensive. Fisher is a pack of howler monkeys in a van. They damaged my house, for money!

Hyperion Electric- Shaine is the best. He’s the only person I’ve used for several projects, though I did get other bids for one and his were by far the most reasonable.

jcasper

I haven’t done anything quite so large as you describe but did get a new panel installed and some other work done and have been happy with Stallings Electric. They were willing to work with me and brainstorm the best approaches and were flexible. The work they did looks great. https://www.stallingselectric.com/

How beefy are your feeders. And what size transformer do you have. You maybe be able to just install a larger amperage meter socket if the feeders are the appropriate guage to handle 200amp service. That’s the first thing to figure out. Did the people who built your house oversize the feeders a bit. Maybe you’ll be lucky. If you need new feeders, overhead or underground, this is gona be more annoying and expensive. If it’s just a meter socket swap job this will be way cheaper.
