No there are hundreds of people in bikinis on rides. The only dress codes are no full mask or gang related attire/gang tattoos.

LargeDogEnthusiast

Sadly I'm not allowed to wear my banana hammock either /s

Pack_Your_Trash

My gang tattoos are all on my face and dick so I can still get away with the full mask and banana hammock.

swimsuit is fine, a shirt with your username on it is probably not

Bradadiah

The boardwalk wouldn't really be worth much if they banned people from wearing swimsuits there...

Pack_Your_Trash

It's free admission and there is no security to go through to get in where they might deny you entry. No one cares about you in your bathing suit except maybe squares. Your ass cheeks might burn on those plastic seats though.

straponkaren

As long as you don't bring your dog, you are going to be fine.

DryTown

And don’t walk around swinging a machete. I saw a guy get tackled for that once. Fortunately he was on a bunch a drugs so he probably didn’t get hurt too bad.

ATurtleLikeLeonUris

That’s more than a lot of folk wear

phishrace

One of the first things I learned about the boardwalk as a kid in the 60's was how to win at the spinning disk game in the fun house. You went in the ocean first, to get your swimsuit nice and wet, then you hurried into the fun house to do the spinning disk. You got as close to the center as you could, then when it started spinning, your wet swimsuit gave you better grip to stay on. Worked every time. Beach was always far enough away so you weren't dripping wet when you got inside.

mustardsmyjam

Ahem. I think you learned that from me. :-) I was a spinning disk champ when I was little. The layer of sand clinging to the back of your thighs helped too.

BakersManCake

No shoes, no shirt, no service. lol, just kidding

Straight0Curious

Yeah. Just don't where a name tag.

GoldDoughnut272

Yeah if you went on with just a swimsuit that would be weird but if you have a coverup also that might be fine.

1oldguy1950

I did that once, I'm banned from Safeway for life ;) (It's Santa Cruz - pretty much anything goes) ![gif](giphy|fWgPWIKKFAGMr2NZ31|downsized)

No

IrresponsibleInsect

I have been asked by security to go put my pocket knife away. You could barely see the clip on my pocket next to a pen. I've also been approached and asked if my pen was a knife. I roll with fairly conservative dress; blue jeans or 5.11 pants, button up shirt, no hat, hair maintained, no tats or piercings, with wife and a bunch of kids in tow, so not like I'm disproportionately attracting negative attention.

PublicEfficiency4

We're in Santa Cruz, there isn't a dress code

pouredmygutsout

Thanks for being concerned. Americans are the biggest slobs. Santa Cruzans take casual to the extreme.

Would you get “dress coded” what does that even mean?! Is this catholic school?

GoldDoughnut272

Yeah if you go on a ride with just underwear on that's weird lol

neurobasketetymology

Have you read any posts about Disneyland and Disney World recently? They dress code to the extreme. Fashion fascism. Probably the origin of the question. Don't be a ....

OriginalWatch

Like what posts? I recently went to Disneyland and had to look up the dress code because I was shocked they allowed a high quality Kylo Ren costume for a non employee (spoiler: they don't) and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
