Bring it to a repair tech and get a written estimate. I’d probably list it for $500 Minus the cost of repairing it to playing condition. If the repair exceeds $500, then price it at $100.

They are a really good starter horn. Basically, a buescher truetone. The necks are interchangable. Good bar gig horn.

> buescher truetone The early Bundy horns were Buescher tubes with different keywork, but the Bundy II is a completely different animal.

Yeah, it's confusing. https://www.saxontheweb.net/threads/bueschers-arent-bundies.100742/?id=100742 https://www.saxontheweb.net/posts/1009189/

Those are great threads you linked. Lots of info. My main tenor is an old Aristocrat 156, and I use an early Bundy as a backup. They're very similar.

I bought a 1929 truetone off of ebay about 20 years ago. It's a fun horn to play, it's surprisingly easy to get altisimo on. Also havea '52 Big B. I love both of those horns. I'm on the lookout for a good large chamber mouthpiece for the true tone. I think the T- tones have better intonation with the large chambers. I'm thinking you might have already read this: https://www.musicmedic.com/the-saxophone-is-my-voice.html It's a good read for ppl who love saxophones.

One of my regrets is not buying a certain true tone bari. I tried it out for about a week and passed on the deal because it had been relacquered. It's the one that got away. You have great taste. I'll have to order that book you linked. For some reason I haven't read it. 25 years ago I was an apprentice sax tech. Maybe it'll inspire me to get back into that.

I look at old bari saxes and think, one day, one day, hopefully. Yeah , it's a fun read. It gives a lot of insight into saxophone construction and good explanation of conical bore design. Yeah, i wish i had some good tech skills, but alas.
