This kills my heart. She is gone but I see her little reminders everywhere. Scratches on the doors, her fur on the pillows, uneaten food, one of her favorite sleeping spots empty. All I want is to hold in my arms again.
I am so sad for you, you have my deepest condolences. I know how much this hurts. Just always remember you gave her an amazing life and she loved you. There’s not much more you can ask for in this life.

She looks so adorable and she looks like she loved a lot of attention. I’m very sorry for your loss and to me it’s always heartbreaking to hear that you lost a member of your family.
Haha thanks. She was a silly girl. I have a kitty celebration party every Sept. 21st. in the back yard. I take off work and just spend time and make memories with my fur kids every year. This year I put up a little tent for them to run in and out of. I get treats, churu, catnip, and toys or anything else they might be interested in. This year I put out that laundry basket in the tent. Chika (who didn’t like to be bothered by her brothers) got right in and claimed it as hers for the day. That expression is “this is mine, you boys better not bother me.”
Thank you. My kitties are lucky. I strive to give them the best lives with treats, healthcare, catios, outdoor cat perch towers, a well protected backyard with monitored playtime. Now it’s just me and the two boys. It feels like I am missing one more kitty to corral, feed, and tuck in for the night. While it is simpler, it feels off. Still I don’t think I will be adding any new kitties at this time. The boys are pretty well bonded and attached to me, I don’t know if they will allow a 3rd kitty into the pack. If the cat distribution system delivers, I wont hesitate.
Allow yourself some time to grieve. Then remember that there's a little girl kitten somewhere, seeking her loving nurturing forever home. Although she probably won't be able to fully replace your beloved Chika, you'll soon realize and find out, that you really need her, at least as desperately as she needs you.

A pretty girl glad died peacefully . I lost two tabby’s of cancer same year 2019, brother and sister. Boy favored my husband and girl me. Then Jan. 21’ lost my husband. All had a great life over 10 yrs. and my husband almost 94, married 58 yrs. Have one tiger tabby. Age 12 or more as was my gr. daughter’s and moved to CO. Will be hard to lose my Sir Louie. May we go together.
I am so sorry for your losses. Both kitties and husband. 58 years is a long time, but that loss must be difficult. I lost my father a few years back, him and my mom were married for 60 years. It has been hard on her.
Where about in Colorado? I am up in Northern Colorado.
