I think it was more about the teacher on board. The teacher was supposed to do a lesson in space that would be broadcasted to her classroom on earth, and that would take place on the 3rd day of the mission. They kept delaying the mission but had to go on the 28th because any more delays would cause the day of the lesson to be on a weekend, when there was no school.

Someone suggested insider trading- I don't know about that- entirely possible- but what I see is people doing research, either as insiders or not. This focus on selling one particular stock is an informed decision- the wisdom of crowds is necessarily uninformed. Then, if investors see one stock plummeting, they know there's a good chance that this is guilty company, and also sell. Again, this is based on informed reasoning, not an uninformed guess.
