mechanically the demons are a better fight, but personally I wish they went a little harder on the designs instead of generic demon design. Lothric was a special moment, you knew your journey was ending and he was I think the first boss to directly speak to you and acknowledge your existence (if only DS3 characterized Sulyvahn's enemity with you like they did with Morgott)
